  1. Anyone heard of Jamie T yet? If not you will do soon. Here's a link to his MySpace site LINK Sheila is his first single. He reminds me a lot of Joe Strummer, especialy on some of the reggae tinged tracks on the album.
  2. Thanks mate. I guessed as much about the A minor pentatonic but had no idea for the rest. I'll let you know how it goes.
  3. Why pay for it when I've got all I want on tap.
  4. A question for all you musicians...................... I've been learning the guitar since last Christmas, hence the reason for the lack of wallpapers this year, and I've got to the stage where I am putting chord sequences together. Having bought a toneport I can now record stuff. So I've got this little ditty that I want to put a melody over, but I've no idea what key I'm in. How do I work it out? The chord progression is; Am (2 bars, with some hammer ons), C (1 bar), D (1 bar) this is repeated 4 times. Then Am, F, C, G,Am,C,E,E7 (1 bar each) and back to the start. Any help please/

What are you talking about? Is this some kind of Popcorn flavoured petrol?
  6. As it's the only way I can get to see the games, I'm stuck with it. A couple of seasons ago it was realy naff, but it has improved greatly, the image and sound are nice and clear. It does lag abit though, your about a pitch behind the live game, but the only time that is a problem is if your posting in the gamethread.
  7. This'll be the first game I've been able to see live this season. With that in mind can someone have a word with the lads and ask them to try extra hard today so as not to ruin my Sunday, which has been realy good so far?
  8. QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Apr 2, 2007 -> 06:45 AM) He did post this on April 1st Not here he didn't.
  9. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Mar 22, 2007 -> 11:51 AM) Remember this is for Chicago Cancer baseball charities, so even if you can't make it, you could always send a donation, or show up to cheer us on in person. Do you have a PayPal account? If so send me an invoice as I'd like to donate something. Failing that is there any other way I can do it?
  10. If you fellas can come up with a plane ticket I'm in! As for position I was always very handy in the slips when I used to play cricket and baseballs just like that isn't it? Isn't it?
  11. So where were you all when I asked if this was any good? Back here Luckily we went ahead and watched it anyway. It's become must see TV in our house.
  12. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Feb 26, 2007 -> 01:14 PM) Boy if I had any free time left, I would have to take you up on that offer... Is backgammon still big in England? It pretty much was huge here in the late 70's and early 80's, and has pretty much faded away since then. The only reason I picked it up was that is was my families official game during the holidays. I believe there are still some clubs about. I only play with family and on the internet.
  13. And I thought it was just us Brits that were obsessed with the weather.
  14. Wahey! Am I a happy chappy or what. Up until 5 minutes ago I had resigned myself to seeing no races this season. Although ESPN had just bought NASN (the channel that shows NASCAR over here) they couldn't do a deal over the European TV rights and I had already missed last weeks race. Well worry no more, the deal is done and I can sit back and watch Junior take the flag tonight. Bring it on!
  15. Headscustom beats them all. Plus it has my little logo's in it..... so there.

    Is it any good

There is a new American series about to be shown over here called "Heroes". Is it any good, is it worth investing any time in or is it like "Lost" where half way throgh the second season you suddenly wake up and wonder why you wasted 20 odd hours on this stupid go-nowhere-make-it-up-as-we-go-along-never-an-end-in-sight- pile of TV doo doo?
  17. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Feb 23, 2007 -> 01:18 PM) No backgammon mentions? booooo! Looove Backgammon. Sign up to GammonEmpire and I'll give you a game sometime Play money/real money whatever. As for group games, as we are a little tight with our money around these parts we tend to find it odd paying £30-£40 for a game so we play the "name game". This is a rip off of some published game or other. You work in pairs, firstly rip up a load of paper and write the names of famouse people, past or present, real or fictional, about 30 per pair. Fold them up and drop them into a bowl. There are three rounds. Round one. One member of the pair has 60 seconds to discribe this person to his/her partner, any that you dont get go back in the bowl. keep going until bowl is empty. Round two. Same again BUT you can only use one word. Round three. No words or sounds, just actions. Obviously the winning pair is the one with most right at the end. Try it after a few drinks and I guarantee you'll be in stitches.
  18. Realy good main image. I'm not too sure about the text though.
  19. Has anyone listened to Devendra Banhart. Donavon for the 21st century. He can be a little hit and miss, but when he's good he's very good.
  20. I have some spare time so I was going to have a go at BurlyMan56's sig request; but I can't find the picture thread. Is it archieved somewhere?
  21. QUOTE(Rex Kicka** @ Feb 11, 2007 -> 05:22 AM) Might take you up on that... the problem is finding a program that I can stick with without a trainer. I hate running like the plague. I like hiking, I can do cardio on machines at the gym, but after 30-40 minutes, I'm bored senseless. Take your mp3 player with you, but instead of music; listen to an audio book, the time passes far faster.
  22. Decrease calories in + increase calories out = less weight. Simple. At the risk of sounding smug I lost 2 stone (28 pounds) while training for last years London Marathon. I'm not suggesting you go to those extreams but running is by far the best calorie burner you can do. Not in a warm gym on a soft treadmill but out in the cold, on grass preferably. I am a licenced UKAthletics endurance coach, if you want me to put a program together for you, whatever your current fitness just let me know.
  23. Next door's just gone up for sale.
