  1. QUOTE(Pauly8509CWS @ Jul 26, 2006 -> 08:02 PM) For those of you who are into Phish, anyone else ever listen to Bela Fleck and the Flecktones, mmm... good stuff right there. Talented, talented musicians. So where should I start?

Talented, talented musicians. Where should I start? I can only get Hidden Land at the moment. QUOTE(bmags @ Jul 26, 2006 -> 08:38 PM) you like dispatch? Who they? By the way, if you like the Allman Brothers, try The Derek Trucks Band, he's the son of The Allmans drummer. The album Songlines is top notch.
  3. QUOTE(VenomSox @ Jul 26, 2006 -> 06:18 PM) Thanks in advance if anyone will make one for me. You beat me to it.
  4. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Jul 23, 2006 -> 09:18 PM) Thats badass, except the bg picture of Konerko looks like he just walked out of a fire. Well, some do say that he's a bit of a superhero.

  6. QUOTE(MHizzle85 @ Jul 23, 2006 -> 12:50 AM) Back in the day, there were only postgame shows if the pitcher had a no-hitter, once the pitcher gives up a hit...hence the phrase Cheers.
  7. QUOTE(Felix @ Jul 23, 2006 -> 12:50 AM) It means that there isn't a no-hitter anymore QUOTE(fathom @ Jul 23, 2006 -> 12:50 AM) It means there won't be a no-hitter. I thank you both.
  8. As one of the uninitiated (still) can someone tell me why DJ says " you can cancel the post game show tonight" almost every game I watch?
  9. Right, I've walked around my armchair 6 times and I'm wearing my Sox T shirt backwards. So I predict a win today. OK?
  10. I was inspired by SoxFan1 to set up a website for my Wallpapers, Photographs and Artwork and just in case some of you might be interested in having a look, I'm posting a link here.
  11. I like the new skin and the new logo's but I do prefer the Headscustom version, I'm not sure why.
  12. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jul 22, 2006 -> 05:55 AM) 1.) Brian Anderson is a better baseball player than Aaron Rowand. 2.) The White Sox were quite good for half of this season without Rowand. 3.) They are now losing because 3/5 starting pitchers are toast, the defense is pathetic and the timely hitting has gone out the window. 4.) Winning brings chemistry, not the other way around. Rowand would not fix any of these. He was a good player for the Sox but his absence has absolutely nothing to do with the 2nd half failures of this ballclub. I concur completely. Oh and in case no one had mentioned it befor; that banner is top class.
  13. i'm not sure how much of this game I'm going to get to see as I am nackered and reafy for bed. I was just about to turn in before Thomes homer, well that woke me up! Solid start, I hope we can keep it up and keep me awake.
  14. QUOTE(Felix @ Jul 22, 2006 -> 01:40 AM) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cluster_fly In other words, I really don't know. I always sort of guessed they were something from Gamehendge, although that doesn't quite make sense in terms of the album I don't think, since the album isn't about Gamehendge. Thank you, now I know as much as you. I hope you don't mind but as you can see I've been a bit light phingered with your sig phor my avi.
  15. QUOTE(Felix @ Jul 22, 2006 -> 12:07 AM) Smart man Nice namedrop (or something like that) Trey and Mike, not all of Phish (sadly, I'd like to see them get back together just so I could see a show). They played here on the first of the month, but of course, I didn't go because I was just getting back from being out of town (saw the Sox in Pittsburgh ), and very, very tired. Listening to Farmhouse as we speak. what the phuck are clusterflies? Having read about them on the RollingStone site I am now looking out for The Grand Pecking Order by Oysterhead ( my personal music journey continues). Anything with Stewart Copeland in has to be good, is it? I might struggle to get a copy here in England, may have to waite until I'm in th US.
  16. QUOTE(bmags @ Jul 21, 2006 -> 02:53 PM) 4th grade for me too, my friend even bought the album...with all the anarchy references...not quite as dancy as the single. Only in England could you throw a drink over the Deputy Priminister on a live TV show and get away with it.
  17. Nice technique, But he does look like he's doing the smooth backwards "Dad" dance.
  18. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Jul 19, 2006 -> 08:50 PM) Woke up at 12:30, talked to my mom, then my older sister, got on the internet, worked on my graphichs website, and have been continuously waiting for the delivery people to call about my pool table... What's the addy?
  19. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Jul 19, 2006 -> 08:33 PM) Maybe you should comment on other people's stuff to get comments back. :rolly http://www.soxtalk.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=52421 http://www.soxtalk.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=51864 + many many previous posts that have since been deleted. I rest my case your honour. you seem to have forgotten all the advice and encouragement I gave YOU when you started,
  20. Some mate's are playing their first gig this weekend, I resurrected the name of a band I was in when I was much younger; Eddie Hernia and the Surgical Tweezers. I hope they last longer than we did, if you can imagine a cross between The Cure and Pink Floyd, you'd be part way there. I was in the middle of my depression cycle at the time, lyrics along the lines of, " I hung myself with the telephone cord, because you were never in." and "Cough me up , go on and cough me up, I am the hairball to your love."............................Happy times.
  21. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jul 19, 2006 -> 07:30 PM) It sucks. and I don't love you.
  22. Made a sale in Hull, (City about 70 miles away) and listened to Live Phish 15 Disk3 on repeat all the way there and back. Phish + Talking Heads.............Phabulous.
