  1. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Sep 14, 2012 -> 03:18 PM) Steve Slaton's getting a Bears' workout. That is not good news
  2. QUOTE (sunofgold @ Sep 14, 2012 -> 03:36 PM) GRINGER BALL RULE #1 WIN. OR DIE TRYING. whats a gringer. is that like a grumpy ginger
  3. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Sep 14, 2012 -> 02:46 PM) I absolutely destroyed my liver for that 8-game stretch starting with the Tuesday game in the Metrodome. What a week that was. My daughter spent the night at her grandmothers and my wife worked during te blackout game. I sat on the edge of my couch and watched the entire thing and didn't move from that spot once, I was so tense
  4. QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 14, 2012 -> 02:08 PM) I will resist any temptation to chime in the discussion. You have chimed in plenty, we know your stance
  5. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Sep 14, 2012 -> 01:54 PM) The 2008 White Sox had to be one of the least "deserving" division champs in a while. That last 3 games plus the blackout game made it deserving for me. That was one hell of a guantlet, and they were running on fumes and somehow pulled it out
  6. QUOTE (iamshack @ Sep 14, 2012 -> 01:30 PM) The bigger question is what the hell did Marlins' Ownership think they were getting when they hired him? I would say latino fan revenue
  7. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Sep 14, 2012 -> 10:04 AM) So, what the f*** is up with Jay Cutler and night games? Does he not manage his diabetes well-enough? He always sucks at night! He had no energy last night, and he had no strength for the deep ball, and he also looked pale and s***ty. I am pretty sure his night game numbers have been historically terrible. And that is bad, because the Superbowl is not a day game. So he better figure that s*** out if he ever wants to play in and succeed in that game.
  8. Buffone and O'Bradovich are ice picks in the brain. I don't care how much they tell the truth, their show is brutal to listen to. Almost as bad as Hampton
  9. Jay, please no more pregame s*** talking. Let your play do the talking
  10. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Sep 13, 2012 -> 04:51 PM) I do remember the suspension, but didn't Hugh Douglas cream Miller in the playoffs? And yeah, Robinson never recovered. He was a monster for me in NFL 2k though. The suspension was either the year before, or two years before the playoffs. I think it was 99. Robinson and Miller went bonkers for 4 games then Miller got suspended. In 2001 Robinson only had 34 catches, and I am pretty sure he had no impact on the playoffs. I was just saying that "One year" that those two were great, in reality was just that amazing 4 game stretch. Millers great year was with Marty Booker. ANd yeah, Millers shoulder was obliterated right before the second half of the playoff game. right after he threw a pick in the endzone. So much salt. Such a massive wound.
  11. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Sep 13, 2012 -> 04:38 PM) He and Jim Miller that one year will great. F*ck Hugh Douglas. F*** steroids/PEDs, you mean. That stopped Miller and Robinson. Pretty sure MRob was hurt most of the 2001, that was Marty Bookers big season
  12. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Sep 13, 2012 -> 04:15 PM) I thought Marcus Robinson was gonna be a big time WR for the Bears. Had one really good year, but too many injuries. Yep. When he played, he was almost elite, his combination of size and strength was tough to beat. he could just never stay on the field.
  13. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Sep 6, 2012 -> 11:06 AM) He was known to love his booze when he was in Champaign He is known to love the booze always

  15. QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 12, 2012 -> 07:38 PM) This guy has no hitter stuff tonight. Well he gave up a hit. So no he doesnt
  16. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Sep 12, 2012 -> 12:48 PM) Is my name Lillian? Here is my post in there: http://www.soxtalk.com/forums/index.php?sh...t&p=2633537 Im just saying that you said no one in their right mind would suggest Johnson start over Viciedo, that is a months old thread stating just that. No name confusion.
  17. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Sep 12, 2012 -> 11:44 AM) There may be some calling for that - I was asking for it in this specific scenario. http://www.soxtalk.com/forums/index.php?sh...t=0&start=0
  18. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Sep 12, 2012 -> 10:28 AM) No, its not backup QB syndrome, because no one in their right mind is suggesting Johnson start. They are saying he should get some AB's in certain match-ups. this is absolutely back QB syndrome, and many people are suggesting he start. and have been for months
  19. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Sep 12, 2012 -> 08:12 AM) And yet all of the last 3 games we've lost, there have been about 5-7 clearly discernible mistakes (mentally/physically) or in the managerial decision-making process, especially in the last 3 innings. You know what though, we act like other managers dont ever make mistakes. I am not absolving RV from screwing up last night, but come on, we were all laughing at Leyland 2 nights ago for bunting and taking the bat out of Cabreras hands. Managers f*** up
  20. QUOTE (kitekrazy @ Sep 11, 2012 -> 09:42 PM) f*** you very much Jake Peavy. Please don't say another thing this season. Go back to the NL. He wasnt perfect, but he gave up 3 in 6 IP. Again, the offense fails to score. You cant expect to win games when you score two runs
