  1. http://www.fishstripes.com/2012/9/21/33677...ing-mike-lowell Ha, if the Marlins were reaching out to Lowell during the season while Ozzie is still managing that would be a karmic b**** slap if I have ever seen one
  2. Applebees in Lawrence, KS is confused and distressed
  3. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Sep 21, 2012 -> 03:37 PM) Well, then, I guess it's now time to remove any statistics of anyone ever busted for roids. Cabrera did this himself, so it isnt like the league stepped in and stopped it. I kind of respect Cabrera for doing it. He still cheated, but at least he has enough self respect to do this. After he got caught, of course
  4. QUOTE (The Ultimate Champion @ Sep 21, 2012 -> 01:41 PM) Yeah like it's normal for teams to have 110 win seasons. Sox had one bad month where they went 12-16 in August. They played 7 over ball from September on. Cleveland played 38-16 ball through August & September. The Sox had one 7-game losing streak in August that hurt their record. They didn't choke, they cooled off, and Cleveland turned it up. a 15 game lead to a 1 1/2 game lead, with one fly ball in the sun away from a 1/2 game lead was a pretty big choke
  5. Thanos confirmed for Guardians of the Galaxy and Avengers 2. Iron Man 3 trailer due out within the next month
  6. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Sep 21, 2012 -> 11:10 AM) Who cares? A playoff berth is a playoff berth. and everyone is 0-0 when the playoffs start
  7. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Sep 21, 2012 -> 11:09 AM) He didn't look all that hot down the stretch last year... No he didnt. The league definitely has adjusted, now you have to wonder if he will adjust as well. He definitely has the tools
  8. So Cam Newton: 2011 mirage or merely Sophomore slumping? 2 games out of 3 he has looked less than stellar
  9. QUOTE (SOXOBAMA @ Sep 21, 2012 -> 09:44 AM) That medicore QB beat the Packers & Lions. We will see if Cutler can do the same, he looked like s*** playing the Packers. Look, stop trolling with s*** like this. You know this is a bears fan centric site, your 49ers are doing well, just be happy with that. Enjoy your little thread, talk about your team, blah blah blah. And yea, Wite isnt a Bears fan. So this little response falls on deaf ears
  10. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 21, 2012 -> 08:26 AM) Will.i.Hahn. Someone suspend me for that one. If I suspend you, then I wont get to gaze upon Tebow everytime you post. I cant take that
  11. QUOTE (whitesox901 @ Sep 21, 2012 -> 02:17 AM) Over at another board they've starting saying Kahn. That is the best that I've seen. Oh I like that Angry response to white sox move Happy response to white sox move
  12. GMAB Caulfield, no White Sox fan buys their tickets based on who is GM and President. Hell, even Cubs fans arent buying them because of Theo, that place is a graveyard. It matters not to brooks, he isnt making a Grinder Rule #3189 "KW is VP and Hahn is GM" commercial. The on field product puts butts in the stands. And even then, with Sox fans you better prove that it isnt a mirage. 2005 success created 2006 carryover, it wasnt because Williams was calling the shots.
  13. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Sep 20, 2012 -> 06:05 PM) No way in hades Castro or Molina are closing to being 3 starters, you can forget that one happening. Santiago has more talent than either one of those guys. What will be interesting is the "tea leaves reading" of all the moves, trying to attribute our offseason to KW or Hahn. For example, will certain posters be thrilled KW is "gone" or will they be even more upset he got a promotion and is perceived to be running the team still? Does anyone believe this will have ANY impact at all on season ticket sales or the perception of the fans, playoffs or not? Will we now not credit KW with getting any more than the 2005 and 2008 teams to the playoffs, officially? I dont think anyone cares about that. at all.
  14. In the least surprising news in the history of the world, Billy Gillespie resigns
  15. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Sep 20, 2012 -> 04:17 PM) Like GarPax, they shall become WillHahn KenRick KenHahn WillHack RickWill someone less lazy than myself, please make a poll thread so this can be decided. Just let it be anyone but sunofgold
  16. Dotel got blow'd up Infante may have brought offense where Raburn was killing them, but he has been absolutely brutal at second base.
  17. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Sep 20, 2012 -> 01:30 PM) But where do you draw the line on this? Peanut Butter, Nuts, Honey? While more common, there ARE other allergies out there...such as dairy, etc...should we just ban all food because of such a possibility? We all made it through school eating peanut butter...kids that were allergic to it...well, they just didn't eat it. I dont know where the line is drawn. I dont think its right, but I see why they do it. This is a nation of lawyerin up, and people just dont want to deal with the repercussions of one bad decision
  18. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Sep 20, 2012 -> 12:18 PM) No I get that, but i'm sure you could let the teachers know who has allergies (they do already) and watch out for them. It's not like 3rd graders prepare their own meals, they just eat what they're given. I think the schools would rather eliminate the possibilty of a screwup completely rather than get gutted in a lawsuit because a dumb teacher/lunch lady gave the wrong kid a sandwich with pb on it and have the kid die in front of his/her classmates. I know what you are saying, I wish people could all be infallible after being taught things, but people screw up a lot.
  19. QUOTE (farmteam @ Sep 20, 2012 -> 09:40 AM) Sarcasm, or are they actually supposed to be good this year? Not messing with you, I really have no idea. bigtime sarcasm. Lowery left a massive clusterf*** in his wake, both with a s***ty roster and APR issues. Barry Hinson has a huge mess to clean up.
  20. QUOTE (Leonard Zelig @ Sep 20, 2012 -> 10:43 AM) So that Seahawk player is getting fined for a legal hit? Yep, and its bulls*** http://seattletimes.com/html/seahawksblog/...locksunday.html and the rule states a player is defenseless when chasing another player and cannot be struck above the shoulders. On that link you can see in the picture he clearly is hitting Lee square in the chest. It sucks for Lee, because he was really blasted, but it was a legal hit
  21. QUOTE (Brian @ Sep 20, 2012 -> 07:08 AM) So they made a remake of a remake and put it in 3D? Texas Chainsaw 3D? Oh brother. that movie will be milked until the day we die, and long after
  22. QUOTE (oldsox @ Sep 19, 2012 -> 06:53 PM) Noticed that Scherzer has one blue eye and one brown eye. Never saw that before. Stone usually brings it up every time he starts
  23. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Sep 19, 2012 -> 06:43 PM) You're officially out of my Saluki family. Pssssht 17th street FTW
