QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Nov 23, 2012 -> 01:57 PM) Does the Wii U tablet have wi-fi itself? Almost seems like it would be a good tablet in and of itself. It connects via bluetooth to the WiiU console itself, and also to your home theater. But i think the Wifi connection is what comes through the actual console itself. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Nov 23, 2012 -> 01:47 PM) Yeah, Move is IMO, way better than the Wii, it just never got the support from game developers. SCEA should have made more games too. Sports Champions 1 is really solid, and I heard the 2nd one that just came out is really good too, but outside of those, I have yet to find an interesting game. Of course it is better. It has 5 years of development after the Wiimotes came out. Now Nintendo is basically done with that, and Sony is realizing that it is died down because they arent getting the support. Hence, WiiU gamepad and back to traditional controllers(even though WiiMotes and nunchuks are still functional with the WiiU)

Sox expected to add 4 to 40 man roster
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Nov 22, 2012 -> 08:41 PM) DET has to sort out a lot of issues. Their closer situation, although they have some good internal candidates in Villarreal and Alburquerque, to name a few. Dotel and Benoit were also quite shaky down the stretch, as we all know, bullpens are made to implode from year to year, although expecting the disaster they had with Valverde to repeat itself is about the same as expecting 49/49 again, like 2011. They've got lots of guys like Young, Boesch and Berry that are more like 4th outfielders than starters, which is obviously why they traded for Hunter, not to mention his leadership abilities. Then again, Young is one of those guys who could potentially go on another extended run like he did in the playoffs or in 2010 with the Twins. They should really move Peralta off SS. Infante was horrible at 2B, too. That's a HUGE Achilles' heel, their middle infield. Avila playing like an average catcher and not looking like a sure-fire All-Star also hurt them a LOT. Yes, Verlander and Scherzer could get hurt. But so could Sale or Peavy or Floyd or any number of Sox pitchers. Basically, with Fister, Porcello and Smyly, they have a better rotation than us, and that's not ruling out their bringing back Anibal Sanchez (who was great for them after a slow start) or signing a FA pitcher, like Greinke. They probably WON'T go that route, but imagine if they did? We can't even dream of signing an impact player at this point....unfortunately any changes will have to come via the trade route. Young is a FA and after Hunter was signed it made him less likely to return. I have read they plan on moving on

QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Nov 22, 2012 -> 12:28 PM) The exact reason I got one on launch day. I'd have to buy one eventually to play those 1st party games, so I figured I'd get one now. I do think there is a pretty big base of Nintendo gamers that will always support the company, but Nintendo is not flop proof IMO. The GamePad is pretty cool, but I want to see some truly unique experiences with it and that's going to have to come from Nintendo. 3rd parties are just going to port the s*** out of the system by adding touch screen gimmicks. Nintendo needs a Mario/Zelda/Metroid that does something incredible by next Christmas or the system is going to lose steam fast, especially with new consoles from Microsoft & Sony around the corner. What really scares me though is that it took Nintendo basically the life of the Wii system to create a game that could really showcase the potential of motion gaming (Skyward Sword), so god only knows how long before we see that killer app for the Wii U. Also, without a Wii Sports like title that caters to casual gamers, which Nintendoland won't do well enough IMO, Nintendo will lose a big chunk of their current market share. I'm really looking forward to pikmin and Zelda, plus whatever Mario solo title they come out with. I loved galaxy 1 and 2

QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Nov 21, 2012 -> 08:24 PM) I'm probably going to be called a bad fan, but yeah, I find them difficult to watch without Rose as well. They're not exactly bad, just mediocre offense and good defense that results in some uninspiring stretches. Nah, you aren't a bad fan if you call it like you see it. This bulls team isn't necessarily unlike able, try are just hard to like(and watch)

QUOTE (danman31 @ Nov 21, 2012 -> 06:52 PM) There are far too many Nintendo fans for that to be true. It may not be a huge success, but it won't flop. As long as they have Mario, Zelda, metroid in their back pocket, Nintendo will continue to play as long as they want. People keep predicting flops, they keep on selling product.

I am not excusing what Rachal did here, you never leave your team. But I want to know why Rachal is getting demoted for Spencer here, when all we saw on Monday night was Webb and Carimi getting their asses handed to them?

QUOTE (Brian @ Nov 21, 2012 -> 10:18 AM) I don't watch Walking Dead anymore but seems some shows are only being talked about when characters are being killed off. That isn't a good formula IMO. well, thats what Walking Dead is about, lol. Its a pretty important part of the narrative, people surviving and also dealing with loved ones being killed and turning. But, they are now adding some pretty big characters. There is a pretty big one coming in the fall finale in 2 weeks.

QUOTE (SoxAce @ Nov 21, 2012 -> 06:41 AM) ^^^^ That was fantastic Jeremy. Well my car was stolen last Tuesday. A week later (yesterday) it was found (alot of damage on it) and the guy was caught (well.. the passenger.. sucks for you crackhead). I've had some bad luck the past few weeks (a week before that, my grandmother had a major stroke, so she is fighting for her life right now, for example), so hopefully it all turns around. Sorry to hear that, Ace

QUOTE (iamshack @ Nov 21, 2012 -> 09:03 AM) We should be able to get Earl Bennett more involved...where the hell has he been this year? Very disappointed in him this year. but I also think they are still forcefeeding Hester, the guy is on the field far too much at important times

2012 Films Thread
saw a trailer for "Now You See Me" the other day(cant post here at work) looks like a mix of Oceans 11 and the Prestige. Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, Isla Fisher, Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine, Dave Franco. Could be a good one, but also could end up cliche.

QUOTE (ROC Sox Fan @ Nov 21, 2012 -> 07:52 AM) I'll probably grab one with my tax return. I'm a Nintendo whore. same. All of the reviews I have read, they are very intrigued by the gamepad integration. Im just kind of waiting for the launch bugs to get worked out, there is a firmware update immediately after you plug it in.

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Nov 20, 2012 -> 09:28 PM) How odd was it to watch SIU play a zone? lots of odd things about SIU this year. They are so small, starting 4 guards and one forward, and staying with that rotation because of lack of size depth. Playing a zone is also really weird to see for sure. But they were playing hard and running, which i havent seen in 5 years. That kid Anthony Beane jr, I think I am going to like him. He took over the game at one point when it got close and scored like 8 of the next 10 points for SIU. Dantiel is getting back into game shape, he was swatting balls like no big deal.

QUOTE (greg775 @ Nov 20, 2012 -> 01:41 PM) LOL. Don't talk about a Marlin in a Marlin thread. Yes sir. How about dont talk about an ex manager that has very little to do with the trade? pretty simple.
