QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Mar 25, 2012 -> 09:00 AM) Forgot how hot Megan Fox was until I started watching FRIENDS WITH KIDS. Very entertaining, if a bit "talky" movie. Interesting premise, two best friends decide to have a kid but not do it the traditional way, sharing custody. Great cast, Jennifer Westfeldt (Kissing Jessica Stein), her real-life husband Jon Hamm, Maya Rudolph, Kristen Wiig and her b/f from Bridesmaids (the Irish dude), Edward Burns, Adam Scott (no, not the golfer, the actor). Really like this one, not quite sure how to describe it...it's a romantic comedy, but it tends to be a bit more serious and deep than most of those. Westpheldt and Hamm aren't married, they are "life partners"

QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Mar 25, 2012 -> 08:36 AM) Have you seen X-Men: First Class? I think she makes Rebecca Romijn look like crap in comparison. I thought Romjin looked amazing as her normal mutated self, and Lawrence looked odd(especially her hair, it looked like a helmet). As a normal person, Lawrence is pretty hot, but even then its hard for me to say Romjin looked like crap.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Mar 22, 2012 -> 09:29 AM) How about fixing a different position with that 1st round pick? No problems with that, but if the Bears are targeting a WR and those are my choices, I go with the beast, not the midget. Despite Fathoms claims

QUOTE (greg775 @ Mar 21, 2012 -> 04:35 PM) Quit yelling at me and talking down to me. Two weeks ago nobody was saying s*** about how the Royals had to deal Soria. He was to be the dominant closer on a team expected to be good What is so hard to understand about keeping an all-star closer? You don't always have to trade guys just because he's a closer and expected to get hurt at some point. KC on paper has a way better team than our beloved Sox and he was to be the automatic save man. greg, you conveniently ignore so many aspects of arguments, that you practically force people to talk down in order to get you to pay attention to what they are saying. Soria was an amazing closer for the past 3 years or so, but the guy has already had arm issues in the past, and last season you could see he was starting to lose his control. The Royals havent truly contended for a long time, and they werent expected to any of the seasons that Soria was an all star closer(nor did they contend). So they have this amazing closer rotting in the bullpen for a team that was winning maybe 70 games tops. Why would you keep that guy around? He is A: going to get more expensive(and we all know the Royals arent exactly big spenders), and B: possibly going to get injured, diminishing any value he has. The Royals could have had a sale to the highest bidder any one of the past 3 offseasons or trade deadlines and gotten a very good haul for Soria, contenders like the Phillies, Boston, even the Yankees would love to have a guy like him in the bullpen. But no, they say on him, and he blew out his arm. a wasted opportunity for a team that doesnt seem to get many opportunities

Reports: Illini hire John Groce
QUOTE (GoodAsGould @ Mar 21, 2012 -> 01:31 PM) Wow that's way too early to say considering Beckman hasn't coached a game yet and we don't know who the basketball coach is, if anything fans like you are the problem I am no illini fan, I'm just calling it like I see it. You guys weren't exactly doing backflips when Beckman was hired, and truthfully I saw a lot of "who?" When he got the job. When the primary target says no, especially after the media hung on it like they did, fans usually aren't happy with the next guy in line. Its just the way it is.

Reports: Illini hire John Groce
Whoever it ends up being, it will be the 2nd/3rd/4th/X choice, Illini fans will not be happy, and he will start the season behind the 8-ball. Between this and Beckman, Thomas is really not having a great first run at being the Illini AD

2012 AL Central Catch-All thread
QUOTE (greg775 @ Mar 21, 2012 -> 12:48 AM) Then Murphy's Law has hit this team. They are expecting to be better this year and he was supposed to be the automatic save man again (yes he blew some saves last year) with some decent set up men before him. Man, even when we explain it to you, you dont get it. The Royals could have had a really nice haul for Soria, and could have players in his place that could move them forward towards competing in the AL Central. Instead, they held on to him and now they have nothing to show for it but an expensive guy on the DL getting tommy john surgery. Why is this hard to understand? It has nothing to do with Murphys Law, it has to do with being smart with your assets.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Mar 20, 2012 -> 02:46 PM) Hey, your statement was wrong. Really, Dwight dominates on fast breaks or else he really needs to be set up well to dominate down low, be that with put backs or receiving the ball around the rim. He doesn't create his own shot most of the time, as he lacks a polished post game ala Pau Gasol. I was just pointing out how incorrect your statement was. i hate your face

Nobody will be happy either way. If you make the same story, showing a can of ooze in the sewer that 4 turtles and a rat happen to pass through and mutate into sentient beings, people will laugh at it. If you change the origin and make them aliens or whatever, people will laugh at it. It is what it is. A ridiculous story that must be treated as such. People wanting "gritty, dark, realistic" are just kidding themselves. Michael Bay is irrelevant here, I doubt he even does anything past executive producing.
