  2. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jul 21, 2011 -> 04:47 PM) I would like that job. Those pics = fap time. you can facebook friend him for free unlimited views
  3. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jul 21, 2011 -> 04:41 PM) Indeed. I post nude pics of myself all the time in the "I am drunk" thread. We have a mod monitoring that thread at all times with a backup admin on call when it comes to mass BS photo deletion. The graveyard shift is assigned to newbs
  4. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jul 21, 2011 -> 01:46 PM) Anonymity. There is no anonymous. I even know what Steve looks like. He looks like a bad offensive baseball player
  5. QUOTE (Brian @ Jul 21, 2011 -> 04:11 PM) CM Punk confronted HHH at Comic Con today. It's on YouTube. http://wrestleheat.com/cm-punk-crashes-wwe...nts-triple=9689
  6. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jul 21, 2011 -> 01:24 PM) Why is Cooper working with Viciedo or even following him? I guess thats what Im not understanding here, why does anyone think Cooper has an opinion on Viciedo? I doubt hes watching minor league film of the guy, I doubt that he has "worked" with him, so what circumstances does Cooper know about him? Do you think that Walker would be a good guy to ask about pitching prospects? As I said before, its an asinine question and it received the type of response youd expect to get. The announcers who asked the question knew it and Cooper knew it. Sure Cooper could have given some sort of canned response, but to me thats more annoying. Cooper hanging up told you all you need to know, without him saying the words. And what about the hundreds of other questions in hundreds of other interviews and post game chats that he blew off or got pissed about? You can harp on this one point, and I expect you to, thats what you do, but the guy has been an on air douche for a long time now. This is not the exception with him, this is the rule.
  7. QUOTE (SoIL @ Jul 21, 2011 -> 01:14 PM) Pretty much what a good majority of people on this board do with any White Sox decision. I'm sure it's true of talk radio also. Don Cooper isnt getting paid to log on Soxtalk to do Q and A with us. And if he was, and acted as snarky and condescending on this board, im sure that the people asking the questions wouldnt appreciate it.
  8. QUOTE (Swingandalongonetoleft @ Jul 21, 2011 -> 12:53 PM) I know it was already posted that Sizemore was DL'd- looks like he'll be out 4-6 weeks after having surgery for a hernia. wtf, thats not his knee
  9. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jul 21, 2011 -> 11:44 AM) Yeah guys, but put yourself in Cooper's position...if he says anything of substance really, he is going to get talked to by management. He should have just said he doesn't comment on the offensive side of things, other than to give them positive reinforcement, and let that be the end of it. I agree with this. My stance is that he ALWAYS acts like this, and even moreso when you ask him questions about the pitching staff. Buried in that article is a quote about how he reacted when he was asked about Humber, it wasnt much better although he stayed on the phone. Like i said, if you dont like people asking you a question about your job, then dont agree to the contract that pays you to call in and comment on your job. He treats the media like s***. He used to really bully Rongey too
  10. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jul 21, 2011 -> 11:34 AM) Its an asinine question to ask the pitching coach. It is an interesting question to ask the pitching coach one day after your "ace" says that he has to be very good when his offense only scores 2 runs.
  11. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Jul 21, 2011 -> 11:21 AM) I love Coop. I have no problem with his reaction and I certainly don't think he's a "jerk." He doesn't make personnel decisions so what's wrong with that? And what's wrong with him being frustrated by the lack of runs that's killing this team's chances? Night after night he's watching his pitchers go out and perform admirably and come up with losses. And you have a problem with him being pissed off about that? listen to his interviews. The guy is a jerk, personnel decisions or not. If you ask him any question about the pitching staff he takes it personally, as if you are questioning every one of his decisions.
  12. QUOTE (LVSoxFan @ Jul 21, 2011 -> 10:51 AM) I don't mind Coop having a meltdown; as somebody else pointed out, he's the one guy we KNOW is getting the job done and yeah, it's gotta suck putting that pitching out there and then watching us lose game after game because the Sox can't even score 2 runs, even against some no-name rookie pitcher. I'm not sure why they asked him about Viciedo--that wouldn't even be his call and it would be even worse if he commented on it. But yeah something needs to change ASAP unless we want to guarantee a 2007-like season and to that end why the f*** has Greg Walker not been fired yet? I mean, dammit... I dont care if his end of the deal is performing, this is not the first time Cooper has acted like this. In fact, pretty much every time I have ever heard him on the radio he has acted like a jerk. If you dont want to do interviews, dont cash the check they are paying you for appearances. He very obviously is annoyed with having to be interviewed, pretty much every time he gets interviewed. the only time I ever heard him in a somewhat good mood was when they did a live broadcast from a bar
  13. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 21, 2011 -> 09:49 AM) So that Jorge Posada goes to the bench? Might make sense from a pure numbers perspective, but I wouldn't want to have my at bats dependent on the Yankees willingness to bench Posada. ok. 6-8 weeks, possibly more if arod doesnt recover quickly, on a playoff team. or not. if aram wants a chance to win a ws, this is definitely it. im not going to argue every miniscule point
  14. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 21, 2011 -> 09:36 AM) So that he can then be on the bench when the playoffs roll around? him and arod can rotate at dh, 3rd. there are plenty of optiions should he go to nyy
  15. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Jul 21, 2011 -> 09:13 AM) Yeah, this is exactly right IMO. BUT, this doesnt tell me he would accept a deal to play for the Sox. IMO the Yankees make more sense for him right now with Arod being out for a month and a half(if not more)
  16. This thread reminds me of the simpsons episode when he made the pig for dinner, and the pig shot out the window, down the street, in the gutter, and finally shot into the ocean or whatever, and the whole time Homer is following it saying "Its still ok, we can still eat it, its still ok, i can clean it off"
  17. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jul 21, 2011 -> 08:40 AM) Alexei, TCQ for Reyes BOOMPARTY No, not serious. Boom Steak Dinner
  18. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 21, 2011 -> 08:19 AM) He's already repeatedly been reported to be uninterested in being traded. So did D Lee last season for the exact same reasons(family). Then an actual playoff team came calling and magically D Lee left town. If the deal is right, ARam will agree to it. He doesnt want to go to Anaheim only to watch the Rangers run away with it
  19. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jul 21, 2011 -> 08:43 AM) [email protected] oh. dick allen told me it was [email protected]. weird.

QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Jul 20, 2011 -> 05:40 PM) Those still get made. no. if a reboot is made, all other movies stop production. you, a resident movie aficionado, should know this. And you should also be crying about the quality of a teaser trailer released a full calender year before the movie is released, and before filming has even finished. silly

    2011 Films Thread

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jul 20, 2011 -> 03:34 PM) Gee, thanks. Do all Spiderman movies need to have Spider-Man being bitten by a radioactive spider and gaining his powers again? It's the same f***ing movie that was already done incredibly well 9 years ago. Was a young, clueless Bruce Wayne featured in 1989's Batman? Did he deal with any training whatsoever, or have any real developed relationship with Commissioner Gordon? Guess what? I'm going to end up seeing this stupid Spiderman movie if the reviews are good, because he (and Peter Parker) was my favorite comic book character growing up save Batman. However, that doesn't make me less offended that this movie exists, or that in the s***ty teaser trailer it's quite apparent that they are going to exploit another hated gimick, 3-d, with first person "Spidey-rides" throughout the film. It's cheap, exploitative Hollywood utlizing 3-D which is ruining a vast majority of films and box office rankings. However, for you to say my comparison between the need for a reboot of the Batman franchise vs. the non-need of a reboot for the Spidey franchise is "lame", all the while picking a very small portion of my argument while refusing to acknowledge nipples pisses me off! There is no comparison between the Batman and Spider-Man franchises other than movies were made about comic book characters. I saw enough in that "LAME" teaser trailer to know this origin story isn't going to venture too far from the one that was so expertly told and produced such a short time ago. 1989 is a lot longer ago than 2002. Backerdown steve. I like nipples. of the female variety. And you are right, the Batman movie didnt venture into the territory of Bruce Wayne finding himself. And as this trailer shows, THIS spiderman movie explores something a little different about the Spiderman character, ie. why did his parents leave him with Aunt May and Uncle Ben? IIRC, Raimi just stuck with "he lives with them" and left it at that. If you love this character so much, you should want to see a new take on it.
