  1. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Jan 22, 2007 -> 08:25 AM) He was WAY too fast off the edge for the colts Saints. Not to mention he looked 100% better than at the start of the season against running plays. The guy is somewhat a freak of nature. Im pretty sure thats what you meant. And you are 100 percent right. It was insane how fast he was getting out of his stance when Brees said hike. There was a big deal made about how rare it is to sack Brees and how the Saints dont turn the ball over much, and the Bears totally dominated both of those categories yesterday. I dont understand how Rex didnt have a good game to tell you the truth. Given the conditions, and the fact that he didnt have any turnovers, I was really happy with how he managed the game. The Bears knew this game was going to be won on the ground, and thats what they did. The passing game was secondary yesterday, and Rex's numbers refected that.
  2. QUOTE(NUKE @ Jan 21, 2007 -> 09:22 PM) Including the one where nobody was covering him at all and he could have run in for a TD. That cost em the game right there. And dont forget the other one, where he was actually in the endzone with noone covering him. Caldwell left 14 points on the field in a crucial time of the game. I wonder if Brady is missing Deion Branch right now?
  3. I gotta say Im glad we arent facing Belichek in the Superbowl. I think the Bears defense will be able to hold back the Colts offense better than the Colts defense will be able to hold back the Bears offense.
  4. This Colts-Patriots game turned into a heavyweight boxing match. Punch, Counterpunch.
  5. And Ellis Hobbs takes it right back at the colts
  6. Tie game, two different teams after the half so far
  7. There is a great polish deli called Essence of Europe in Rolling Meadows on Wilke road, their prices and quality are top notch.
  8. QUOTE(redandwhite @ Jan 19, 2007 -> 02:23 PM) That's the thing with Lovie Smith. He doesn't like change, want change, or even sniff change. It's what killed the Bears last year against Carolina in the playoffs, it's what I believe will kill them this year in the playoffs. Right, thats why he changed QBs midway through a game twice in the past 3 years. And thats why he changed Offensive coordinators after one year. And thats why he took out Mike Green, the experienced safety, and put in Chris Harris, a rookie. He just doesnt change anything. Base everything Lovie does on one game, thats really smart.
  9. Bam Bam really had a tough go at it after WCW closed up shop. Its a shame to see such a larger than life character slide down the slope he has and end up dead. Unfortunately, it seems pretty rare that former wrestlers have a good quality of life after their careers end.
  10. Hm, Jay Mariotti feels the same way. Go figure. http://www.suntimes.com/sports/mariotti/21...T-jay19.article

    The Office

QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Jan 18, 2007 -> 10:39 PM) Yeah, it seeme that this episode was moreso getting to the story, mainly with the Jim/Karen thing at the end. I agree. As soon as Karen found out last week about Jim and Pam, I didnt think it would be long before she asked Jim about his feelings towards Pam. Of course, he asked Karen first if she wanted to help with a prank and she blew him off, she had to know he was going to ask Pam next. I think the thing that threw me off about the whole episode was how down Michael seemed throughout the episode. And I know it was because he was without his right-hand man, but it just made Michael a completely different character. He had a couple of really funny lines when he was talking about how Andy creeped him out though, I was laughing when he was hiding behind the door when Andy was searching for him. Im wondering whats up with Ryan and his psycho girlfriend, she hasnt been in much of any episodes since the dance.

    The Office

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jan 18, 2007 -> 10:21 PM) I thought it was ok. It was the first time I've seen it and I just wasn't overly impressed. I do have a different sense of humor though. Im just messing with you, its not for everyone. It would probably be much funnier if you got to watch season 1 and 2 so you had some background on the characters

    The Office

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jan 18, 2007 -> 10:09 PM) See, that sounds funny. Where was that stuff when you made me watch it last week? I have no idea how you didnt find last weeks episode funny.

    The Office

Sort of a downer episode this week. I dont think I have seen Michael that subdued in an episode ever. Im happy Dwight is back, but I am kind of surprised they didnt drag it out a little longer. Messing with Andy was funny, I liked the phone trick. I liked Dwights moments at Staples too, "If you need anything, I will literally be right here".
  15. I think Kennedy might get a shot. You can never count out Edge or Orton in these matches either.
  16. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=2733245 Cubs are offering 11 million, Zambrano is asking for 15 million. If the Cubs are going to be spending money like fools, Zambrano wants to get a piece of the action, not that I blame him. How can the Cubs offer him the same money they are paying Lilly? Those two arent even on the same planet in terms of talent.
  17. even though this will probably draw alot of scorn, Blink 182's "The Mark, Tom, and Travis Show" is a pretty damn good live album. Its nothing unique or off the charts, but if you are a fan of the band and dont mind d*ck and fart jokes then its something you would appreciate. ACDC Live is a good listen too. My dad stole my album from me
  18. LOL, on Sunday my 6 year old daughter was all pumped up for a snowstorm and nothing happened. She moped about it all day and right before dinner she said to me "Daddy, you know I think the Weatherman lied to us yesterday, he said there was going to be snow today" I said "Abby, unfortunately they lie to us alot." Her reply? "How do they keep their jobs then? Thats not right."
  19. One thing is for sure, HBK is one hell of a bleeder. I liked the match until the scripted ending brought it to a fiery crashing halt. HBK leg dropping Orton onto the carefully placed chair and kicking the other chair into Edge's face was not fun to watch. And it seems like Rated RKO is about to break up, they set up a few causes for controversy with Edge spearing Orton off the apron and Edge running away when Orton was about to get bashed and HBK had the sledgehammer. I forgot to say how much I liked Carlito coming to the ring to tell McMahon how much his new ideas sucked. Carlito rules.
  20. QUOTE(LowerCaseRepublican @ Jan 15, 2007 -> 09:42 PM) Again, I hope it's to heel Flair. Remember, 7 year rule where this has happened before in the E. I can't remember who they turned heel but they did the same thing. Supposedly the guy had been jumped but nobody saw it and he faked it. Then during the main event, the "injured" superstar heeled. And kyyle, don't diss the Brain Chop. It's one of the 5 moves in Khali's arsenal. I wouldn't want him to lose 20% of his repetoire. You are misunderstanding me. I am saying that Khali's opponents never hit him in the legs. Everytime a smaller wrestler tries to take out a bigger wrestler, they work on the legs. No one ever touches Khali's legs, they just hit him in the chest and try to hit him up high, and he responds with the brain chop. It just looks like they have some sort of edict that you arent supposed to hit Khali low. Its probably because his knees would bend the wrong way if you hit him right. I would be glad if Flair turned heel in this situation. I dont think I want to see Evolution come back and call itself DX. I really cant stand edge. I think he is the worst on-mic personality the WWE has.
  21. There must be a rule that wrestlers cannot go below Khali's waist, because they all try and give him the chest chop and he just pops them on top of their heads with his overhand chop. Its probably because of his knee problems, but if the guy cant take the abuse necassary to take him down then he doesnt need to be in the ring with them. I loved seeing Ron Simmons trying to break out of the Masterlock. Damn! Eh, Ric Flair has been "knocked unconcious" backstage. Blech, fake drama.
  22. This happened a few years back in a college hazing incident. The exact same thing, some kid was pledging a frat and they had a water drinking contest, he started complaining of a headache and disappeared, and a few hours later they found him dead in his room.
  23. QUOTE(Butter Parque @ Jan 14, 2007 -> 01:28 AM) It would have to be the James Baldwin trade. LOL, what has Baldwin done since he was traded away? Here let me show you, it wasnt pretty http://www.baseball-reference.com/b/baldwja01.shtml The Sox did good cutting bait with James Baldwin, it definitely wasnt a dumb moment. His shoulder/Rotator cuff was never the same after 2000.

    Cancelled Gems

I really liked the first season of "Men Behaving Badly". Then they changed almost the entire cast around Rob Schneider and it really sucked.
  25. QUOTE(bmags @ Jan 13, 2007 -> 02:34 PM) i don't know. I put on the new one, and then it just kind of reminds me to listen to deja entendu. The new one took me a little while. I really like Millstone and Archers, quality stuff. They dial it back a notch every album though, it sounds nothing like thier first album.
