Magloire Traded To Milwaukee
Kyyle23 replied to hammerhead johnson's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
I think Milwaukee got ripped off. Desmond Mason and a 1st rd pick are worth way more than Jamal Magloire -
QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Oct 26, 2005 -> 11:37 AM) I wouldn't be so sure of that at all. Go see the movie Do the Right thing. They are right on with this. I am currently doing a project on Neo Nazis for English (We each have to do a cult and the one i had to was Neo Nazis) and i was on that resistance Message Board trying to find info about this. One of the guys said that he was watching MNF. Why the f*** would you watch MNF if you are a Neo Nazi when half of the players on the field are either Black, Jewish, or Latino. THey look at famous black people as either not being black or not being black enough for them to hate. You are basing your opinion of Skinheads on the movie Do the Right thing and a Skinhead messageboard you went to for "research". Seriously, think about that. Unless you are a skinhead, I wouldnt go around telling people how they all think. It could get you in trouble.

QUOTE(3E8 @ Oct 26, 2005 -> 10:01 AM) You are way off. They don't give credit to black men/women for anything. I couldnt agree more.

He has been incredibly patient at the plate for the past month and a half, but you can tell he is getting away from his timing leg kick. he is starting to become susceptible to the low and outside breaking balls again. Fortunately there arent enough games left in the season for him to go into a prolonged slump

QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Oct 24, 2005 -> 09:45 PM) I saw part of the Prime Time piece and I think they'll grow out of it. Kids do a lot of stupid s***. This might sound weird, but if you're going to be a racist, be openly racist. In other words, some racists join the KKK and move to the mountains in all white communities and march and wear hoods and spew hate, etc. Other racists live in big cities, in racially mixed neighborhoods and talk to you at work and smile in your face on the train. Who is a bigger threat, the clown in a hood marching in the mountains, or say, the all white upper management team at your job who tell ni**er jokes on the golf course? I would tend to agree with you if their mother didnt play such an important role in the brainwashing of these two girls. The mother has propoganda on the left and right of these girls at all times, and home-schools them to boot. The first time that these girls have to deal with an actual situation with people of different races should be very tense and confusing for those girls.

Actually, im curious about this Mariotti quote Anyone pick up on this in any other publications? I wonder who these guys were?

I dont think Garner is a bum for fighting for his team and showing his emotions. It wasnt as if he just arbitrarily threw a chair, there was a reason for it. Honestly, i didnt see anything that Garner did last night that would fall under the "classless" category. He held himself and his team responsible for the loss, he didnt snap on the media, and he talked about what they needed to do to win after the game was over.

QUOTE(Brian @ Oct 26, 2005 -> 08:54 AM) Yeah, I still don't know what they were arguing about. Than all of a sudden, Bruce hangs up. Actually it was better than that. Bruce said "If you dont want me here, I can leave" And Dolgin said "See ya" *click* It was priceless. bruce really sounded like he was trying to bigtime Dolgin for some reason or another, and Dolgin had enough of it. I thought it was great

That article has to be from The Onion.

She has actually been doing it all year. To her credit, she has been on the cubs reader comment boards for every game too. But she has been on every White Sox reader board all year trolling and pretty much making cheering for the Sox annoying and impossible. She never posts on the messageboard though. She only posts on the reader comment board, because there is a 300 word limit, and retaliation is really worthless on that board, because it refreshes only when an entire page fills up. Definitely a troll though.

QUOTE(Steff @ Oct 25, 2005 -> 03:25 PM) The family told it with smiles on their faces. The print media is making it sound like they are blaming the Sox. Didn't say anything about doing the interview, which I agree is stupid.. I was specific about how the story is being told. The story is pathetic. It may have been told tongue in cheek by the family, but that article basically says this woman died because the Sox are going to the world series. I dont remember any tripe like that coming out in 2003 in the reverse direction. Sure the media is pathetic to paint it that way, if the family didnt intend it to sound the way it does. But still, this is a story that didnt need to be told to anyone for any reason. Im sure there were plenty of elderly cubs fans who have passed away in the past 2 weeks, and none of their families went to the papers with it.

thats really pathetic. And it shows how unbelievably petty some cubs fans are.

How is this for Cubs messageboard humor Apparently the Tribune Company fell into an extra 60 million dollars this off-season

QUOTE(WinningUgly85 @ Oct 25, 2005 -> 09:48 AM) You know I got sick of the fox broadcasters so I muted my television and turned on my reciever/surround sound system to ESPN 1000 and listened to Jon Rooney and Ed Farmer give the play by play. To my surprise there was no delay really and it seemed to be timed perfectly. I don't know how it will work now since they are playing in Houston. But it was cool hearing Hawk in the radio both during the 7th inning. Hawk was at Game 2? I thought he said he was staying in Fla?

this will probably end up being the least used thread, lol
