QUOTE(ScottPodRulez22 @ Jun 17, 2005 -> 12:20 PM) Who's the first baseman on your All-City team? 8.8% Derrek Lee, Cubs (126 responses) 91.2% Paul Konerko, White Sox (1311 responses) Domination!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Derrek Lee is being Konerkowned.

Ok, this really doesnt have alot to do with the game thread, but my boredom at work is killing me. I was just checking the power rankings on SI.com, and I cannot help but notice that Dan George bears a uncanny resemblance to Paul McCartney. My random thought of the day. On to the game, what kind of an out pitch does Houlton have? I havent heard much about him, other than his last start was pretty good(against the twins?). hopefully the AL Central can continue the domination of the dodgers via the White Sox. I dont expect anything less than a series win.

And while I am in on the conversation, I think that Marissa Miller from the last two SI swimsuit editions is the sexiest woman on the planet. I heard her on an interview with Steve Czaban last year, and she said she has like 3 sisters and they all look alike. Hotness x 4 = hard to beat.

QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Jun 17, 2005 -> 12:04 PM) Wow, what a difference from your 1 and 1a! From seriously curv-a-licious to stick woman. I didnt notice anything but ample cleavage when she was rollergirl.

QUOTE(HSC's Biggest Fan @ Jun 17, 2005 -> 11:51 AM) Padilla hates the Sox, read his crap. He is a bozo. Maddux, next time he pitches watch how often he lifts his cap and wipes his brow. honestly I cannot fault a pitcher for wiping his brow. It is so hot on the field in their uniforms, and they are constantly throwing, alot of sweat builds up on your head. If this is somehow cheating, then they all cheat.

QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Jun 17, 2005 -> 11:31 AM) I hope Mark grills his ass back. Didn't Garland call him recently out on comments he made during ST? Yep, the thread takes yet another turn. STOP CHANGING THE SUBJECT I CANT HANDLE IT ANYMORE! Was it finally Padilla that was identified as the reporter that Garland was talking about? I didnt hear that.
-
QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jun 17, 2005 -> 11:13 AM) Well kind of, I was just mentioning that cause supposidely(sp?) it happened before this interview. didnt you know it is illegal to change the subject? Werent we talking about Major League Movie quotes? I mean Mark Buehrle? I mean, this is serious business, the whole changing of the subject thing. Nowhere on this site do you ever observe anyone changing the subject ever. Dont do it again.

QUOTE(Steve9347 @ Jun 17, 2005 -> 11:07 AM) Wow, that guy is nuts to say Patterson is better than Rowand right now. The only thing Patterson is better at currently is hitting homeruns. He has fewer RBIs, lower batting average, and a thousand more strikeouts. Nice work, tribune. Who and what are you talking about? The All-City team?

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jun 17, 2005 -> 11:07 AM) On Silvy and Carmen Bruce Levine is on and said that before the interview Padilla came up to Buehrle and said "I'm rooting for you guys to lose this weekend cause I'm a Dodgers fan." If that's true that's one of the most unprofessional things I've ever heard. Padilla isnt the greatest beat reporter in the world, it wouldnt surprise me if he said something like that

QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jun 17, 2005 -> 10:27 AM) I have one thing to say about Omar Vizquel: O-ver-ra-ted. After last nights performance against the Twins, I will reserve any judgement on Omar Vizquel. He was ball-to-the-wall awesome at the plate last night.

QUOTE(Princess Dye @ Jun 17, 2005 -> 10:07 AM) Whoa. when have you ever seen Uribe get to anything that should not have been playable? I thought he made a few of those plays against San Diego. One in particular with hermanson on the mound in the first game.
-
you know, I didnt think Maddux at all. I thought Zambrano right away. All I ever see him doing around the mound is licking his whole hand. With the speed he throws and the crazy movement that he gets, I wouldnt be surprised if he throws a spitball.

QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Jun 16, 2005 -> 01:51 PM) Perhaps the greatest feat I pulled off last Christmas was convincing my wife that when I was buying this self-contained classics video game console (Pac Man, Galaxian, Dig Dug and a couple more on in), that it was for my kid and not for me. Since then me and the boy have become video game buddies, and he begs Mom to get each new classics console when they come out - that way I don't have to do it! Im gonna have to try that soon. My daughter is starting to get interested in games that I play, but MarioKart Double Dash is way too advanced for a 4 year old. At least my 4 year old

QUOTE(Queen Prawn @ Jun 16, 2005 -> 12:48 PM) How is stealing a ball that is worth $5-10 a felony? In these times, looking at someone wrong can get you sued.

Super Mario was a shadow of Donkey Kong more, especially since he was the ill fated plumber who had to run up the ladders to beat DK. the strange thing about that was that DK was the one throwing the fireballs and hammers, yet Mario was the one who ended up with the fireballs and hammers when his games came around.

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jun 16, 2005 -> 01:21 PM) Damn am I old http://www.cnn.com/2005/TECH/fun.games/06/...5.ap/index.html Dont date yourself, SS2K5 . I still remember playing PacMan, Joust, Defender, Ms Pacman, all those fun games at Pizza joints. they were all even cooler back then because they were the table design that you look down at, instead of the standup models.

so Ozzie isnt the only venezuelan that Maggs has pissed off....

Sorry fantasy GM's, Sox not ready to deal

Dammit, just when i had a trade scenario involving A-Rod, Chavez, Lenny Harris, and Scott Eyre all worked out to present to you guys. DAMMIT! -
QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jun 16, 2005 -> 11:57 AM) His sinker wasn't as sharp as it has been, but he literally had to have the entire ball over the plate to get a strike called, which never happens in this day and age. In that vein, I would have to say the umpiring crew for this series was not consistent with either team in the strikezone whatsoever. Vazquez plate was about 4 inches wider than El Duque's, and last night the plate widened and shrunk literally with each pitch. Not a good series for the men in blue.

pfffft, the sun even shines on a dogs ass every once in a while.

QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ Jun 16, 2005 -> 10:37 AM) How has that show not been cancelled yet? it probably costs ESPN more to insert another show.

QUOTE(TheDybber @ Jun 16, 2005 -> 10:19 AM) Ummmmm... ew. :puke LOL. Being in an office all by myself all day with only Soxtalk to converse with makes me a bit off-kilter. These threads that Buehlretheace complains about actually are usually the ones that amuse me the most in the morning.

QUOTE(TheDybber @ Jun 16, 2005 -> 10:14 AM) Are there any groin diseases that AREN'T nasty? Well, I had this one in mexico that was really quite nice...... Did I just type that?

QUOTE(KevHead0881 @ Jun 16, 2005 -> 10:07 AM) I prefer the MJH version: U.S. Comiscular Field that sounds like some kind of nasty groin disease. I prefer comiskey
