  1. QUOTE (WBWSF @ Apr 18, 2018 -> 09:00 AM) JR has said numerous times that the franchise has always been more profitable with low payrolls/losing teams. Since you repeat this over and over, I would like you to find this quote so i can read it in context of what he is saying
  2. QUOTE (Thad Bosley @ Apr 17, 2018 -> 11:05 PM) Not to be confused with the incessant whining by an apparently uninformed, yet overzealous mod, about anyone, ANYONE, who dares to call into question the horrific record of the owner. Oh hai Thad, so surprised to see you pull up a 4 day old argument about JR. Gonna cry about JR kicking your dog again? Cant wait
  3. This has the feel of a Cy Cahill vs Lolz Gonzalez type event
  4. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 17, 2018 -> 01:57 PM) Harper is an OF because he wasn't good enough to catch. Moncada is plenty good enough to play 2B, even at a high level. probably also because they didnt want to wreck his knees/legs and shorten his career
  5. i knew he was gonna be bad at the plate, but now he is missing balls that he should be catching. Cant keep him up
  6. QUOTE (bmags @ Apr 17, 2018 -> 09:15 AM) Man is there anything worse than NFL Draft Twitter? It's embarrassing constantly seeing overly sensitive fans writing incredibly offensive tweets at the scouting guys because they didn't make a mock draft that they liked, and of course are idiots because some of they gave a good grade on a player that was bad previously. It doesn't seem like the other sports (can't speak for hockey) bring the same kind of terrible fan as the NFL. Especially given the unpredictable nature of the nfl draff
  7. I think Bears take Nelson if he is there, and trade back(Buffalo, Arizona) if he is taken before their selection. I wont be disappointed either way
  8. Rebuilds take a year, right? We should win 100 this year
  9. Canha misses that ball and Abreu probably could have gotten an inside the park Hr

  11. QUOTE (Tony @ Apr 16, 2018 -> 10:22 AM) No Wild Wild Country talk? 4 episode in, crazy. Pretty incredible how little national play that got. I vaguely remember it, but after watching it I can only say this would be like if Waco happened and you only found out about it from a documentary 30 years later
  12. Off to Oakland
  13. Not a good day for our friend Quintana
  14. Bears sign WR Benny Fowler

QUOTE (insiderinfo @ Apr 13, 2018 -> 12:14 PM) He is a a leader of the team and just needs time relearn some of the skils he had. Venturia needs to move him back to shortstop too. Robin is on it, I assure you

    Well this is a thing
  19. QUOTE (WBWSF @ Apr 13, 2018 -> 11:24 AM) Have you noticed that JR has disappeared from the scene? He use to appear on TV and radio and would grant interviews with the papers. No more. He has been MIA for a long time. 2 months ago http://wgnradio.com/2018/02/15/jerry-reins...s-a-radio-game/ 4 months ago http://www.nbcsports.com/chicago/video/ins...jerry-reinsdorf http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/baske...2019-story.html 8 months ago https://chicago.suntimes.com/sports/sox-cha...n-it-to-win-it/ not hard

  21. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Apr 13, 2018 -> 10:32 AM) But why offer $2M??? If you're not comfortable with the knee, fine whatever let him go. But you think the knee's worth $2M but not $3M, which would get you either Meredith or a potential 2nd round pick? There's no obvious logic or strategy behind it. e: I think Meredith was the leading receiver during Fox's time with the Bears thanks to Alshon's injuries. Letting Alshon go for nothing and then letting Meredith go for nothing at a position you're already lacking in just isn't very confidence-building. It's not like Pace is above handing out expensive contracts to garbage/past-their-prime players, e.g. Victor Cruz or Glennon. Why not tender the extra million? Again, according to Bernstein Pace thought other team doctors would feel the same about the medicals and they could bring him back on a much cheaper deal. It was also mentioned that he may miss this upcoming season
  22. TIFWIW, Bernstein opened the show saying that his Bears source said that the decision was completely medical. He said Meredith didn’t get his procedure done by Bears team doctors, and when they evaluated the knee, they were not comfortable giving Pace the OK. And concerning the depth of WRs, there will be additions. This isn’t the final depth chart, players will be added. Fretting about it now is worthless.
