QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 6, 2016 -> 12:32 PM) Btw, no one pointed this out in here yet, Burdi pitched this afternoon for BHam. His line: 0 IP, 1 H, 4 BB, 4 ER (ERA is currently infinite, presumably some of those runs scored after taken out). I think this should also be mentioned, from Scott merkin Fulmer last 3 starts: 19 IP, 10 H, 2 ER, 9 BB, 22 K. Fulmer has 46 strikeouts in last 35 innings.

QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jul 6, 2016 -> 11:05 AM) Oh for the love of. It's been well established that Rose didn't recruit back then because he 1) Was the White Knight basketball fans idolize in that he wasn't "can't beat 'em, join 'em" but in that he was "Can't beat 'em, go again." 2) He was loyal to his teammates and didn't want to undermine the Deng, Kirk, etc. There's a lot wrong with Derrick's last four years with the Bulls, but his first four years he was the Heir Apparent to Kobe in that he wanted to win on his terms, would die on the court, etc. None of those reasons make it right. He needed help and we all knew it, and he thumbed his nose at the process

QUOTE (GreenSox @ Jul 6, 2016 -> 10:50 AM) How's that development coming, all while the control clock is ticking? And if Hahn was going to let Boras make personnel decisions, then pick someone else. Tell us, what has Cooper accomplished in the last several years? Honestly, listening to yall one would think that Hahn, Cooper and Williams have actually been winning. Honestly, anyone listening to you would have a terrible team on the field and would trade away any and all players before they turn 25. Except Saladino Rodons development is fine, he shows flashes of dominance and then falls back to some bad habits. I'm disappointed he hasn't taken the same step we saw in his first year where he straight up dominated down the stretch, but I'm sure that doesn't matter to you because that doesn't fit your narrative that he hasn't progressed at all. Cooper hasn't been getting the most out of his pitchers the past couple years, I won't argue that, but your assertion that he is pretty much worthless is tiring and incorrect. You say the same damn thing all the time, we get it. You don't like Cooper and Hahn.

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jul 6, 2016 -> 10:46 AM) If bulls sign wade, I think the plan would be for them to grab Chris paul or Westbrook and buy out rondo and then a year later when wade comes off the books they would look to bring in another star with Paul and Butler recruiting. Either way I think people realize recruiting matters a ton and wade has a ton of street cred and a year from now I think the Bulls know they will have an easier time pitching buckets and wade to potential free agents vs buckets on his own with space for potentially two deals. Just watch, we will sign Paul and then Lebron will leave Cleveland two years from now to team up with buckets and a ring chasing wade! Step away from Xbox

It would be funny if Riley pulled the rug out from under Wade and he had to scramble for a deal

QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Jul 6, 2016 -> 08:55 AM) I actually agree with Caulfield here. I don't see the downside in having it open. Not like rumors just start right before the deadline. Every year same thing. One week before the deadline KM is new, Caulfield.

QUOTE (SouthSideSale @ Jul 6, 2016 -> 10:09 AM) What did he tweet? All you have to do is look, you can find it

Wade, Rondo, Charles Oakley /offseason

QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Jul 6, 2016 -> 09:25 AM) You really need to stop with this. You either have Rodon under these circumstances or you probably have Aaron Nola instead. Him coming quickly was part of his agreeing to sign for $6.8 million. I've been over this before though. Not to mention that what he is learning at the major league level is great for his development. But hey, ax to grind. Gotta throw in the dumb deity comments
-
QUOTE (GreenSox @ Jul 6, 2016 -> 07:23 AM) The affirmative decision to rush up Rodon and his stunted development as a #4 is another feather in Hahn's cap ( Cooper's as well). Cooper's continued status as whitesox deity another issue as well. You should tweet this at write sox again

Caulfield stop trying to force the opening of trade winds. Jason usually opens the forum a week before the deadline

QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Jul 6, 2016 -> 12:45 AM) Since when do big time NBA players go to s***ty teams just for money? KD went to what is now for sure the best NBA team not the Kings or Nuggets to get a huge pay day. Like Melo?

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jul 5, 2016 -> 05:52 PM) Dear Mr. Keymaster: Just for your information, it's summer vacation time for teachers. Thanks for your concern/s about my posting habits. If you have any good book recommendations, would love to hear them. I've seen every possible movie so far, caught up with Game of Thrones and Silicon Valley and am waiting to buy books back in the U.S. At any rate, I will be traveling to (and throughout) the US for three weeks starting on July 16th so please don't encourage Dick Allen to feel too encouraged or he'll start writing taunting posts even when I won't be there to respond, then claiming some type of Pyrrhic victory...whether the Sox are playing well or not. Maybe if he's lucky, all of Central China will be washed away first and he won't have to hear from me again, and he can go back to debating with Thad Bosley & Co. Thanks in advance for your time and consideration, The Caulfield12 PS: Hope there are more comics-related movies coming out soon for you to dissect. Let me find the aloe I feel so burnt

Reds pitching be like "HIT THIS. HIT ALL OF THIS"

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jul 5, 2016 -> 02:05 PM) You're right, you are such a great fan...so you're in favor of giving both of them 3 year extensions RIGHT NOW for the great work they've both done so far, yes? And Ventura's HoF plaque is surely on its way, as soon as he leaves the White Sox, that is. PS: Please PM the 38 who don't think the White Sox will make the playoffs and call them out for being "bad fans," that should keep you occupied. you are posting like 4 posts for every 1 other member posts, and honestly your points are so scatterbrained and contradicting from one post to the next(and sometimes within the same post)that nobody can help but notice how overwhelming your presence is. And I agree with Dick(dont tell him), the Sox start winning again and all you want to do is tell everyone that they suck pretty much every chance you get. You need to re f***ing lax

HERE IS TO A WHITE SOX WIN AND NO BUTTHOLES CALLING THE CITY

I think it is hard to compare Burdi to Sale-Fulmer-Rodon because he came from college as a reliever, whereas the other three were starters. Stretching Burdi IMO is a different beast because he truly doesnt have the same kind of workload as they did

QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jul 5, 2016 -> 09:49 AM) Well to be fair, that's not hard to beat. I'd be a better LF than Schwarber. True, I guess I will just say I dont think Bryant deserves comparison to Schwarber in left within criticism of Maddon

QUOTE (Swingandalongonetoleft @ Jul 5, 2016 -> 09:32 AM) had to google hold the door

QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jul 5, 2016 -> 09:27 AM) Missed this, what happened? He collided with Almora in left center while fielding a fly ball. I dont have a problem with Bryant in the outfield as much as i would Schwarber. Bryant has been competent and i havent seen errors like we have seen from Schwarber in his short time out there.

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jul 5, 2016 -> 07:55 AM) I don't think Feeky is responsible for who stays on the White Sox 40 man roster, any more than he was responsible for scouting Quintana with the Mets and Yankees in their respective systems. But, if he spotted something, more power to him. Maybe the White Sox need to sign him to a contract. And that kind of "everyone else missed it" thing was no comfort to Cashman on Q or Contreras, nor was it to all the teams who passed on drafting Mike Trout. Yea, thats not what DA said. Not at all. I think you should have another celebration of your (rumored) calling of Jeff Bannister as best of everything in all of the MLB.

QUOTE (SouthSideSale @ Jul 2, 2016 -> 04:40 PM) Waiting for the crew to come in and say we're all overreacting lol Why bother, might as well let you guys cry somewhere

Man, the Heat are going to look quite different next season. Wade or no wade
-
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jul 2, 2016 -> 01:00 AM) Bud Norris, 6 IP, 2 H, 0 ER, 1 BB, 8 K's against COL for the Dodgers. Jeremy Hellickson shut down the Royals. Expiring contract. Available for a B prospect or two C's. just stop already

July 1st, 2016 - Chicago White Sox vs. Huston Astros - 7:10
Kyyle23 replied to hi8is's topic in 2016 Season in Review
It's like they told themselves not to try and hit home runs and over corrected to line drives right at people
