QUOTE (CB2.0 @ Jun 24, 2016 -> 07:45 AM) Thank you! I mean, SS2K5 digs up something I said 2 days ago (which was said in jest, really) tries to INCORRECTLY hamstring me with it, and I'm supposed to just take it? "mmmm hat" isnt really hamstringing you as much as poking fun. now everyone wants to get all serious and exact about it.

I mean, am i really reading an argument about the validity of a bet(and the qualifications of said bet) that ends in someone eating a hat? message boards ftw now and forever. CB2.0 wouldnt have eaten the hat anyways

QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Jun 23, 2016 -> 02:55 PM) I sort of agree, that Jaime is the valonqar, but why would he kill himself in the process? I agree that it seems pretty obvious what Cersei/Qyburn are doing in the show right now. Edit: If Tommen dies, who becomes king from a legal standpoint in the show? In the books it would be Stannis then Shireen (right?), but in the show? Would Margaery still be Queen? -

QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ Jun 23, 2016 -> 02:09 PM) Still time for Shields to give up lots of runs, but people didn't actually think he was going to keep giving up 6+ runs every start, did they? Yes. Yes they did -

QUOTE (ChiliIrishHammock24 @ Jun 23, 2016 -> 01:51 PM) Abreu got hit up high, only a few innings after he and Frazier both got hit up high last night. Abreu got hit in the thigh yesterday. Frazier, now his was scary -
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 23, 2016 -> 12:38 PM) According to the Fangraphs strike zone stats, he's actually throwing strikes at a comparable rate to last year, but batters are swinging at stuff out of the zone notably less than the last several years. This could be a deliberate game plan on their part - can't hit him so force him to work, or it could be that he's throwing things that are more obviously out of the zone when a pitch does get away from him. That just seems crazy when he is going 5IP with 100 pitches like he has been recently. Im not disagreeing with fangraphs but he just seems like he is overworking this year whereas last year he seemed like he was easily cruising into the 7th and 8th innings under 90 pitches
-
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 23, 2016 -> 12:40 PM) If that were part of their decision making it would say a lot about how management values personal issues with people compared to winning. You don't already know this?

QUOTE (shipps @ Jun 23, 2016 -> 12:35 PM) Wolves get a proven All-Star vet and guy Thibs loves in Butler and they still get a relatively decent pick at 14. Bulls get an unproven player with higher upside IMO than Butler and the 5th pick where they can get Dunn who they love. Its risky from both sides but benefits both sides. I could see it. Do you think the Bulls would risk losing a trade to Thibs?
-
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 23, 2016 -> 11:44 AM) Do the Bulls have the cap room to take on almost $10 million? isnt the cap about to take a huge leap?

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 23, 2016 -> 10:19 AM) Where did I claim to have the FULL picture on Tim Anderson? There are obviously some concerns still...less on the defensive side than offensively. I simply asked what is a REASONABLE goal for our Latin American program? When should we expect to start seeing some positive results at the big league level? Nobody can answer that, apparently. No, you asked if the money was reasonably invested. How the hell can anyone know that right now? f*** ME i was sucked into the caulfield vortex of WTF im out
-
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 23, 2016 -> 10:05 AM) Nobody ever answered the question of what GOALPOSTS the White Sox have set for their Latin American development program... Just saw a list of names. How is that helpful to know whether the money invested has been spent wisely or not so far? (Yes, I know, according to Dick Allen, we won't have the full picture until 2019-2022...even though Rick Hahn will likely be long gone by then.) right, and you have the FULL picture on Tim Anderson based on one week of at bats, right? You dont like name lists?

wtf are you even arguing anymore Caulfield. Do you know?

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 23, 2016 -> 09:31 AM) But you're going to see real progress out of a kid by the time they're 19 or 20. They've started playing, with very real competition, at the time they were 12-14, signed at 16 usually. I bet if you were to look at the top 100 Dominican MLB players of all time, 97-98% of them were in AA by their 4th or 5th year (at the latest) in a minor league system. At least 50% were up to the big leagues by 20-22. The ones "blossoming" at 23 and 24 are rare indeed. Now you can use the example of someone like Paulo Orlando, who's 30 years old now and has been a journeyman in the minors his entire lifetime as a professional ballplayer until 2015. Those situations are rare indeed, and that's primarily because he spent most of his youth as a soccer player and junior national level sprinter (100 M/4 X 100 meter relay)...so his baseball development was delayed way beyond where guys like Tim Anderson or Lorenzo Cain started. ORLY? Top 100 Dominican players of all time? Step out on that limb Caulfield, it is safe Where does the brazilian Paulo Orlando fit in here? Oh yea, Royals.
