QUOTE (bmags @ May 5, 2015 -> 09:48 AM) Wasn't that incredible? Man, I'd kind of stopped reading that stuff, didn't want to believe it. Also, I hate bernstein and Cowley. But that was some pretty damning stuff. GarPax are competent if not above average at putting together teams, but they are psychotic egomaniacs. edit: I apologize for not linking, trying to go through twitter feed. I just dont get it. The only thing I have heard about Thibs is that he is stubborn. Not undermining, not mean, not a guy who will smile to your face and stab you in the back, just stubborn. If the story is true and these people feel like they have been bugged, I just dont know what to say, that is insane. it seems like Garpax feel like they should be coaching. f*** it, come down from your perch and coach them if you feel like Thibs isnt good enough. Dont hire someone else to fire later, you have gotten plenty of guys to line up and knock down. Show us how its done

a few years ago i just said f*** it and bought those Ace knee braces, and it has actually helped me a lot. My knees dont bother me much, if at all after the games. Its just the quads and my back that tighten up. Before the braces, there was a lot of post game knee popping and ankle popping. -
QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ May 4, 2015 -> 01:02 PM) He should have kept his mouth shut (vs. making the comment if he doesn't go in first two days, he wouldn't sign). In hindsight, he probably would have been best served getting drafted as if he got drafted he could have at least been able to sit out a year and re-enter but since he went undrafted, he now is a mere UDFA (since league isn't going to let him re-enter). That said, maybe that works better for him in long run as he is just 3 years removed from being a FA? bad agent advise. They misunderstood the draft process

QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ May 4, 2015 -> 12:49 PM) I guess what I'm wondering is, can he sign a one year deal, no longer be a rookie and then get a big deal in 2016 assuming he proves it? I wonder what team would allow him to do that though. He basically is at the mercy of the NFL front offices now because of what his agents advised him. Why would anyone offer him a prove it deal knowing he is a first round talent? Any team is going to want to give him a lengthy contract as opposed to watching him bolt after one year

QUOTE (Iwritecode @ May 4, 2015 -> 11:46 AM) Finally got to play my first full 7 inning (plus one extra inning) game on Thursday. They put me at first base and I caught everything they threw at me including a few low throws that I had to pick out of the dirt and a few with the sun directly in my eyes. Even managed an unorthodox DP by catching a runner trying to go from 2nd to 3rd on an infield grounder. I'm glad I played well but I really don't like playing first. Probably my least favorite position besides catcher. My swing was all off because I kept hitting everything off the handle of the bat. I even struck out once on a pitch that was high and outside. I'm pretty sure it was because we were already in the 8th inning and the ump wanted to move the game along. The game before us had gone into extras as well so we were running pretty late. I'm sooo out of shape though. Finally today I'm able to walk around without my legs hurting so much. We have a DH at the end of May that might just kill me. Every friday i walk like an old man at work -
there were some twitter rumors that the Bears were extremely frugal with UDFA this year because they want to make a run at Collins

Im so disappointed in this young season, that is my confession

QUOTE (shipps @ May 4, 2015 -> 09:10 AM) I am done with predicting what the Bears will do in the draft. I thought they would find a way to get a pick or two more than they had...they didnt do that. I thought they would go heavy on defense...they didnt do that. I thought they would get one of the edge rushers in a draft that was heavy on talent at edge rusher...they didnt do that. This is why you dont football, Shipps. THIS IS WHY

QUOTE (WilliamTell @ May 3, 2015 -> 03:51 PM) Unfortunately he's a Fox property. Wouldn't it be awesome to have him fight the Avengers? It would be awesome. I am hoping somewhere down the line Fox comes to a similar agreement with Marvel as Sony did

Why did Amos drop? Seems like he was valued higher

QUOTE (Soxfest @ May 2, 2015 -> 01:32 PM) Bears selected Penn State DB Adrian Amos with the No. 142 overall pick in the 2015 NFL draft. Amos (6'1/218) played the boundary, slot, and safety for the Nittany Lions, starting 38 games and compiling 9.0 career TFLs, three sacks, and seven interceptions. He wasn't beaten for a single touchdown pass as a senior. Amos ran 4.56 at the Combine, but showed short-area quicks with a 4.03 short shuttle. Amos improved his forty to 4.39 at the PSU Pro Day and has extensive special teams experience. Amos is a bit of a tweener defensive back, but his versatility should get him on the field early. Not a fan of day 3 We are all very surprised at this
