    Alright begin

you are clever to use position letters in this thread zing, busted. hickory was too fast
  2. QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Jan 2, 2014 -> 11:56 AM) Meh, the Bears avoided a wildcard exit. With that terrible defense, there were going nowhere fast. Getting in is pretty important, even if you feel your team doesnt have a shot. Nobody thought those same 7-9 Seahawks were going to maul the Saints like they did a few years back, but they did.

whisperer of QBs, Trestman is. In Trestman i trust
  4. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jan 2, 2014 -> 11:36 AM) Presumably in the call someone else was supposed to release over the top, perhaps the CB playing to the outside of Conte. Instead if that CB got the blitz call and went into man coverage, staying with the receiver on the sideline, it removed the help that Conte would have had in the original playcall. Well, according to Bowen, you arent correct. I will defer to him. I dont see how Bowman would be the one to cover the inside portion of the field that Conte vacated, that is just terrible
  5. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jan 2, 2014 -> 11:30 AM) But from where he was playing he wasn't set in an "over the top" position, he was up close to the line. That would seem to me to suggest the over the top help would have come from somewhere else - perhaps a LB dropping back or one of the CB's? His position at the time of the snap suggests that if he was supposed to drop into a zone, he wasn't covering the deep zone. He started in that position, he ran up to Cobb and then let him run past. Honestly, it isnt reasonable to ask Wright to cover both sides of the field in that call. You cant flush Rodgers like that and have only one guy playing center field Why? We saw why
  6. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jan 2, 2014 -> 11:13 AM) Kevin Fishbain ‏@kfishbain 6m Trestman said Briggs checked to a blitz on 4th-and-8, Conte didn't get the call, he was in zone. Sooooo, even if he didnt get the check to a blitz, didnt he still f*** up? He is the safety, if he was in a zone shouldnt he have followed Cobb instead of sitting down up front and releasing Cobb behind him?
  7. QUOTE (HeGone33 @ Jan 2, 2014 -> 11:07 AM) I guess then we can look at all the games the defense won over the years, when Cutler and the offense did everything to lose. Everyone keeps talking about this great Bears offense, but didn't they win more game with Lovie and his D? The defense got old and injured, it needs to be remade
  8. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jan 2, 2014 -> 11:04 AM) Well, in fairness to the defense, the Packers averaged over 26 ppg this season and over 30 in games Rodgers played...so 33 wasn't a terrifically bad showing. 33 is a terrifically bad showing under any circumstance
  9. I wonder what the terms are on Jennings. He was set up for a nice payday on the open market, he got a 4 year deal
  10. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jan 2, 2014 -> 10:44 AM) The franchise tag for a QB is waht, close to $18 million right? average of top 3, or top 5?
  11. Martellus Bennett was on B&B monday, and it really seemed like bringing his brother to the team is a big priority for him.
  12. QUOTE (raBBit @ Jan 2, 2014 -> 10:33 AM) Anyone listening to the press conference? Very strange how Emery/Trestman were talking about McClellin. They know that he has to produce this upcoming year, he is running out of excuses

Let it go Balta, just let it go
  14. QUOTE (DukeNukeEm @ Jan 2, 2014 -> 10:12 AM) If the Bears have a QB they like at 14 they take him. No doubt in my mind, you don't f*** around with that position. If you think defense will hold us back, I'd like to cite 2 decades of ineptitude where this franchise just could not find a QB. Im glad you arent drafting

    Alright begin

Just wait, man. You can do it
  16. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jan 2, 2014 -> 09:56 AM) The Bears telegraphed what was up like a Rick Mirer pass when they sat the hot McCown, and showed everyone Jay was their guy. Getting it done and out of the way quickly ends the speculation, but using any kind of logic, this was a done deal unless something really bad happened to Cutler like a career threatening injury. For all the speculation about what was on the line in his last start, most likely, unless he got hurt severely, he could have thrown 4 pick 6's and been brought back. Well if it was that obvious then they would have hired a airplane to write it in the sky

    Alright begin

getting the post count up with a math problem
  18. QUOTE (bmags @ Jan 2, 2014 -> 09:52 AM) Really pleased we kept Slauson. Was secretly, against all odds and reason, hoping for Johnny Football. I think they can still draft a heir apparent and stash him behind Jay for a few years like the Packers did with Rodgers. It may not be this season, but I wouldnt be surprised if it was. Who knows, maybe they make a late play on Murray or Mecklenburger because of their injury issues and let them come up slow
  19. QUOTE (Brian @ Jan 2, 2014 -> 09:01 AM) Is vegetative state the same as a coma? I'm no Dr. No way I would want to live like that for 7 years. Hope my family would let me go. Im not sure either, I was just going off of the CNN article i read that stated his condition is deteriorating. And I am with you, no way I would want to live like that
  20. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jan 2, 2014 -> 08:16 AM) Like the anonymous hints we constantly kept getting about him using drugs during the season? Or the leak about the whole "offering up their bats to a blow-up doll" scene? Didnt Cowley leak all of that? Pretty sure he did, because Ozzie wasnt a fan of Swisher, therefore Cowley wasnt a fan
  21. Looks like Ariel Sharon is getting close too, I didnt realize that guy has been in a coma since 2006
  22. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jan 2, 2014 -> 05:00 AM) Don't eat it, don't eat it, don't eat it,......... aaaaaw man you ate it
  23. There are so many different credit card products to choose from, really you just need to figure out what you want to spend it on(travel, day to day purchases, electronics, etc) and go from there. Each product is designed to reward you in different ways, and there is a lot of different reward programs even within each type. Each company (chase, capital one, BoA) should have a site portal that will allow you to search cc products for research when you are deciding what you want.
