DEM Primaries/Candidates thread
QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Dec 21, 2007 -> 08:45 AM) An Obama-Richardson ticket would be better than either party has offered since Reagan term 1. I agree. I also thing an Obama/Webb ticket would be formidable.

Stone to Call 670 broadcasts
QUOTE(G&T @ Dec 19, 2007 -> 04:20 PM) I used to think DJ was getting better, but I don't know anymore. I don't think he brings anything interesting to the broadcast to actually tell fans something about the game. I think both Hawk and DJ are sounding worse because the team is so crappy. It's hard to be excited to talk about a bad team for 3 hours straight. We were spoiled by our magical season in 2005. It probably wouldn't have mattered who was in the booth that year and we would have liked them. Contrast that to today and we as fans are more annoyed as we watch this team and then become more critical of the play by play.

Stone to Call 670 broadcasts
QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Dec 19, 2007 -> 04:12 PM) I would trade the entire broadcast team for Stoney, and could hire anyone to sit with him and it would be better than the product we have today. Throw in Gilbert Gottfried for all I care. Just give me Stoney!

Everyone, yes everyone, has a blog
QUOTE(GoSox05 @ Dec 19, 2007 -> 02:38 PM) I just wanted to know. Its something I never thought of before. So is Christmas celebrated in the Middle East or is it not that big of a deal? Christians in the middle east would celebrate Christmas. Muslims, Buddhists, Atheists, etc in the middle east will most likely not celebrate.

I think it's too late for Paul to do anything in Iowa. After Friday most people won't be thinking about politics until after the New Year.

QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Dec 18, 2007 -> 11:27 AM) Catholic League President Bill Donahue slams Huckabee for appearing to use a cross in his Christmas ad. Sometimes I wonder if we are electing a pope.

QUOTE(Athomeboy_2000 @ Dec 17, 2007 -> 06:42 PM) The Clinton's are getting desperate. They're sending out the dogs (husband Bill, Bill Shaheen, and Sen. Bob Kerrey) then when the dogs get back they reprimand them publicly, but giving them treats once they get inside. I am obviously on the Obama bandwagon now but my gosh, you'd think Karl Rove is part of the Clinton campaign. They disgust me.

QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Dec 12, 2007 -> 03:15 PM) *dons tinfoil hat* If I didn't know better, I'd say this was a back door way of painting Obama as the bad stereotype of a black male. /tinfoil I just don't see how these negative attacks will help her. He admitted to drug use many years ago in his first book. Americans like to hear the truth and he hasn't lied about it or tried to cover it up.

QUOTE(Alpha Dog @ Nov 13, 2007 -> 11:30 PM) PORK CHOPS FOR DINNER! Damn good eats! I would love to slit your cat and dog's throat in front of you and your family and eat them as you watch. Damn good eats! Those are delicacies where I was raised.

QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Nov 13, 2007 -> 08:41 PM) Only someone with a brain the size of a chicken would make such a silly and offensive comparison. So I guess only I am not allowed to make personal attacks going forward. QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Nov 13, 2007 -> 08:41 PM) Considering you just admitted you don't eat meat not because of health concerns, or the cost, but because of ethical ( ) reasons, you should care. Why else would you do it? Just to feel better about yourself? I don't eat meat for a variety of reasons but you never cared to ask why. You just ignorantly assumed it was only for ethical reasons. QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Nov 13, 2007 -> 08:41 PM) Just for your smugness, personal attack, and offensive remark about the Holocaust, I'm going to drive my 8 MPG F-150 Van 1.5 miles to work, order a few cheeseburgers from McDonald's and throw them on the ground. Let's see how much more of your "ethical" sacrifices you'll make to balance out the damage I'm doing to (y)our precious Earth. Unreal. And I'm the one with a chicken sized brain.

QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Nov 13, 2007 -> 05:22 AM) Do you honestly think that cow cares that you purposely chose not to eat a hamburger? No. Why would I? QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Nov 13, 2007 -> 05:22 AM) Animals are stupid, Apparently you are too. QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Nov 13, 2007 -> 05:22 AM) and we can't have just have a bunch of them running around the Earth with no control. Didn't Hilter say the same about Jews? QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Nov 13, 2007 -> 05:22 AM) There are 4 times as many Chickens as humans. Not before factory farming became the norm earlier in the 20th century. Before then, eating meat was not very common for most people. It was expensive and mostly exclusive to the wealthy. Hence the diseases of affluence.

QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Nov 12, 2007 -> 01:34 PM) At least for the last one, the hosts finally started saying that Gravel isn't actually running a campaign since he doesn't bother, you know, campaigning, and didn't include him. I was wondering about that. I assumed he had dropped out of the running.
