QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Apr 27, 2007 -> 10:21 AM) Damn, have to watch online. No way to download that I can see. Anyone know a way/place to download the videos to be watched later? If you use firefox there is a video downloader plugin that you can install. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/2390

GOP Primaries/Candidates thread
QUOTE(Rex Kicka** @ Apr 27, 2007 -> 09:55 AM) Mitt Romney on Osama Bin Laden. Buch and Co. must feel the same way seeing that they gave up on the search for Bin Laden and shifted efforts to the imminent threat known as Saddam Hussein. Must be that Republican theory of being able to protect America better than the Dems....just ignore the person/people that actually attacked our country and spend billions on people who did nothing to us.

GOP Primaries/Candidates thread
QUOTE(Texsox @ Apr 27, 2007 -> 09:15 AM) I'm looking for someone who will balance the budget, raising taxes if necessary to accomplish that, but I would prefer they look at spending less first. I would also like someone who respects everyones religious beliefs. I would like someone with a plan to exit Iraq that doesn't involve us handing Iraq a blank check for the next two decades. A pro Constitution candidate who doesn't wish to trample on my rights. Kucinich is your man. He even had a pocket sized version of the Constitution at last night's debate. Plus, if he's elected we would have the hottest first lady ever (I wasn't alive when Jackie O was the 1st lady ).

DEM Primaries/Candidates thread
QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Apr 26, 2007 -> 07:58 PM) Well, I missed the debate. Anyone see it? Thoughts? Any good stuff? I don't even know what channel it was on. Was on MSNBC. Pretty tame for the most part. I think Clinton, Dodd, Kucinich and Edwards did the best. Obama seemed too hesitant at times. The Senator from Alaska is crazy and Richardson lost my interest after Brian Williams stated that Richardson is the NRA's #1 candidate in the race by either party.

Rogowski removed from 40 man
QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 26, 2007 -> 02:44 PM) Even with the record, our hitting has been abysmal against LHP so far this year. We are pretty crappy offensively regardless of which hand the opposing pitchers throws with.

QUOTE(StrangeSox @ Apr 26, 2007 -> 02:16 PM) Didn't FDR get in on the whole multimedia thing with his fireside chats? You might be right but the guy had polio and looked terrible. Someone like that couldn't be re-elected these days.

DEM Primaries/Candidates thread
QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Apr 26, 2007 -> 02:08 PM) Then you will see the 2nd of his big disadvantages (1st being lack of name recognition). Richardson speaks alright, his speeches are solid. But he doesn't have anything like the charisma or affect that Obama or Edwards have. He's nothing to write home about as a public speaker - he just kind of says what needs to be said. Based on what you said I predict he has no chance. We are in the multimedia age. The days of FDR are long gone. People want the "presidential look" as well as someone who sounds "presidential". Oh wait....how did the current boob get elected for 2 terms if that's the case??? Never mind.

QUOTE(kapkomet @ Apr 26, 2007 -> 02:00 PM) And right now, that's why Barak is the candidate that gets it... the attack machine that is the Clinton machine has to do the damage. If he survives that, he's our next president. I agree. I also find it amazing how much support he is getting from the grass roots level. All the $100 or less donations have added up to quite a large sum in Q1. He really has a huge buzz and feel-good aura about him that few politicians ever get. He also seems to be quite liked by moderates even though his voting record has been quite left-leaning.

I for one look forward to tonight's debate. It will be my first time hearing Richardson speak. Will have to follow the Sox on Gameday.

WCIU and blackouts (HD related ramblings)
I agree that Comcast's HD broadcast is lower quality compared to ESPN and other stations. I find it rather annoying. And how does a crappy UHF station like 26 get MLB rights in the first place?

2007 White Sox Catch-All Thread
QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Apr 25, 2007 -> 10:06 AM) Sox offense climbing up the charts. Went from 30th to 28th in batting average in a matter of 2 days! And back down to 29th. Scary that after almost a full month of baseball we are hitting .229 as a team.

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Apr 26, 2007 -> 12:41 PM) Richardson is one of the few Dems that intreagues me. I am sick of Hillary and Barack already, and everytime I have seen something from John Edwards, it makes me wonder why I thought so highly of him in 2004. The rest of the Dems around don't seem viable at all to even consider at this time. Wow, I'd hate to hear your opinion on the list of crap nominees on the other side of the aisle.

Although most scoffed at the additions of Marquis and Lilly you must admit they are pitching very well in the early going of this season.

QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 25, 2007 -> 03:55 PM) There's going to be quite a few fly balls hit to LF tonight with all of the pull hitters the Tigers have. Wind should be blowing from left to right tonight if I am correct.- DEM Primaries/Candidates thread
QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Apr 25, 2007 -> 03:39 PM) Edwards joins in with a stronger statement than either of those 2. Nice retort John.- DEM Primaries/Candidates thread
