White Sox vs. Tigers, 4/22/07 (L)
I feel like the biggest jinx. Turned the game on with 2 outs in the 9th.

White Sox vs. Tigers, 4/20/07 (W)
QUOTE(Rex Kicka** @ Apr 20, 2007 -> 06:38 PM) Erstad is now 3 for his last 37 for a .081 batting average. And his on base percentage is a stunningly awesome .128 (5-39) But it feels like he's hitting over .300 as Hawk would say.

QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 20, 2007 -> 06:35 PM) Honest question here: since the 4th game of the season, has anyone ever seen a more pathetic stretch of hitting from one player than we've seen from Erstad? No. I wish a reporter would ask Ozzie the same question though.

Whoah! We scored by a HR. Weird.

Must be too cold in Detroit tonight.

Brian Anderson
All the things that Ozzie likes about Erstad are the same things that Mack brings to the table. He hustles, tries to break up double plays, etc. Why not just have him play instead of Darin? He can actually get on base from time to time. Just don't play him in CF.

QUOTE(Balance @ Apr 20, 2007 -> 09:14 AM) What, pray tell, is the significance of 4/20? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/4/20

AND THAT'S A WHITE SOX WINNER!!!
QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Apr 20, 2007 -> 09:13 AM) I still think Jenks is a problem. He does have 4 saves, but I think in at least 3 of them he came in with 3 run leads. I thought he looked solid last night. The one guy who reached base looked at strike 3 but the ump called ball 4 for some reason.

QUOTE(Controlled Chaos @ Apr 20, 2007 -> 09:11 AM) He's speaking about Anderson, although it should be about Erstad. Anderson hasn't received any AB's to not look lost. Erstad on the other hand...has the second mosty AB's on the team. I was being a smart ass.

Time to finally score some runs for Danks. Warm weather in Detroit today so no excuses for the bats.

QUOTE(SEALgep @ Apr 20, 2007 -> 08:59 AM) I will say that at least Erstad can advance runners and have productive outs. Really? Which games have you been watching?

2007 White Sox Catch-All Thread
QUOTE(Jenks Heat @ Apr 20, 2007 -> 08:06 AM) When Vazquez and Buerhle start the Sox are 6-0, 1-7 when they do not. Danks gave up 5 runs combined in his 2 starts. Damn offense.

QUOTE(Colorado Sox Fan @ Apr 20, 2007 -> 08:31 AM) I'm not looking at the numbers. Watching him at the plate, he hasn't improved a lick and looks as lost as ever up there. Leave Erstad alone. He's trying to get into a groove.

Paulie is having a terrible year so far just in case no one has noticed.

A gapper would be nice. It would load the bases with the speed we have on board.

QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 19, 2007 -> 07:27 PM) It seems like ages since we last scored a run without the use of a homer. Seriously. What has it been? 4 games?

QUOTE(LVSoxFan @ Apr 19, 2007 -> 07:21 PM) Wow ARod has 10 homers already? I think he has more HRs, hits, and RBIs then our entire offense.

MARK BUEHRLE HAS PITCHED A NO-HITTER!
Unreal. What has Erstad done to deserve another shot at leading off?
