  1. QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 25, 2007 -> 03:55 PM) There's going to be quite a few fly balls hit to LF tonight with all of the pull hitters the Tigers have. Wind should be blowing from left to right tonight if I am correct.
  2. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Apr 25, 2007 -> 03:39 PM) Edwards joins in with a stronger statement than either of those 2. Nice retort John.
  3. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Apr 25, 2007 -> 03:04 PM) That might be the single s***tiest lineup ever ever. Nah. Look at the Royals lineup on any given day.
  4. I love the renamed thread title.
  5. Cubs game finally started. Perhaps our chance of getting the game in is better than I thought.
  6. QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Apr 25, 2007 -> 02:19 PM) It's sad that we're again hoping for an offday to rest a fatigued bullpen. What's going to happen in the summer? Are the other contending teams having their starters pitch 8 and 9 innings each night? Am I missing something here?
  7. Hmm....no Thome again. Perhaps because of the playing conditions?
  8. I'm Mom and I want to shoot down everything you say so I feel good about myself. Cause I'm an uptight ***** **** ***** ***** Buster ***** **** ***** *****... you old horny slut.
  9. Not a good sign for tonight if they can't even get the Cubs game underway. The chance of rain increases later tonight according to accuweather.
  10. QUOTE(knightni @ Apr 25, 2007 -> 12:56 PM) Someone here had said of the last 9 no-hitters thrown, Buehrle is the only one to win his next start. Is that true? I heard the something close to the opposite.
  11. QUOTE(Queen Prawn @ Apr 25, 2007 -> 12:30 PM) I packed a couple sweatshirts besides my jacket tonight. Forgot my gloves though dangnabbit. Gloves just muffle your clapping anyway.
  12. QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Apr 24, 2007 -> 06:58 PM) Kucinich is just not electable. And that is entirely the reason I will not vote for him. And I do agree he seems the most honest.
  13. Sox offense climbing up the charts. Went from 30th to 28th in batting average in a matter of 2 days!
  14. I know I'm kind of a dick poster but how does a guy who has 68 total posts and has not posted since March of 2006 get a happy birthday thread while my sorry ass gets ignored two years straight? Anywho...happy birthday guys. Old folks like me can get annoyed with birthdays as we get older.....as you can obviously tell.
  15. QUOTE(Texsox @ Apr 25, 2007 -> 09:34 AM) I think everyone who has contributed to this thread can agree that no matter how sophisticated the security system. No matter how cool the keypad, remotes, sensors, monitoring is, it just isn't the penis extender a powerful hand gun is. You're read my mind.
  16. QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Apr 25, 2007 -> 09:21 AM) They won't be breaking into just any place. For real. I'd think they'd be concentrating on Ozzie Guillen's home and not my shack.
  17. I must admit I am shifting my devotion towards Erstad over Anderson. Anderson just looks so bad against any pitcher out there whether it's an ace or a scrub. Erstad started the season hitting poorly but so did the entire offense minus Pods. Batting him leadoff is another story. I'd rather see him hitting 7th through 9th.
  18. QUOTE(Dan @ Apr 25, 2007 -> 02:34 AM) An alarm can be disable and is not the end all be all. Really? I don't think the average burglar has espionage training to fully disable an alarm system. In my case I have a wireless powered alarm system. The central hub is located in an interior room of my condo with no window access. The system has battery backup. The battery gets tested weekly by Brinks (remotely) to make sure it is still ok. I would be truly amazed if a burglar would be able to disable this type of alarm system. As a side note, we were provided 2 remote alarms (similar to car alarms that you put on your key ring). These remotes have panic buttons and when pressed will immediately notify the police of an intrusion. The alarm company won't even call to confirm if there is a problem...it goes straight to the police. The remote is kept on the nightstand next to my bed and is a lot quicker and safer than searching for a gun and keeping it away from children when not in use.
  19. Feels good to be in 1st place after the tough schedule we've had in April.
  20. Granderson hits one out to make it 7-5 in favor of Anaheim. Sure would be nice to have a guy like him or Sizemore leading off and patrolling CF for us. *sigh* What a complete bust Sheffield has been so far. Another GIDP.
