  1. A woman who shoots wolves out of an airplane and doesn't believe in evolution is normal ?
  2. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Sep 11, 2008 -> 12:52 PM) If under the Bush/ McCain Economy you lost your home in MI... you dont get to vote. Sorry. GOP = Voter Suppression DEMS = Voter Turnout
  3. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Sep 11, 2008 -> 10:32 AM) but... but... but... unless you have small townhall meetings you dont get to meet the people. Amazing how his stances change when it's politically expedient. The only way I see him/them do townhalls is if they hand select the questioners a la GWB. They couldn't dare risk someone actually asking Palin a tough question.

Happy birthday!!! It's been a pleasure reading your well-informed posts over the years.
  6. QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Sep 10, 2008 -> 03:55 PM) Some rich, famous person's opinion should mean nothing. End of story. Unless it's Chuck Norris or Ted Nugent.
  7. QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Sep 10, 2008 -> 04:04 PM) I'd love to know why you think the opinions of the rich and famous matter. Where did she say that?
  8. I'm against it. That's why we can vote for a new President every 4 years. If he/she screws things up royally you elect someone to take their place*. *Does not include the past 8 years. Americans forgot to care about the issues for some reason.
  9. QUOTE (thedoctor @ Sep 10, 2008 -> 01:03 PM) did palin deliver the boost or did the convention? i don't recall significant jumps until after the convention, when the typical jumps you'd expect to see following a convention happened. I'd have to guess it's mostly Palin.
  10. LOL...speaking of celebrities and their role in politics, check out this snippet from Matt Damon: And Yes, I agree, most celebrities should be ignored when voicing their political opinions. EDIT: And when I say "ignored" I mean that their opinions shouldn't sway voters.
  11. Feels like the only way we win this is if we throw a shutout against the Jays. Hope I'm wrong.
  12. QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 10, 2008 -> 12:16 PM) He's kind of like Harold was in quiet excellence. Except more productive.
  13. It'll be interesting to see McCain at the debates. He won't have "thanks, but no thanks" to hide behind. He will actually have to tell us what he thinks about actual issues.
  14. Over/under of 4 for the number of posts that include "if I make a list he would be #__"
  15. QUOTE (jphat007 @ Sep 9, 2008 -> 04:09 PM) We knew it would be tough without Q from here on out and we're facing the hottest team in the majors. Just hang on til the end of the week guys. When we're 2 behind Minnesota?
  16. First 2 guys walk and nothing to show for it. Pathetic.
  17. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Sep 9, 2008 -> 04:07 PM) Swish will probably watch strike 3 go by him. That was a 98% probability.
  18. A wasted at bat to a hitter that could have hit a walk off.
  19. QUOTE (CanOfCorn @ Sep 9, 2008 -> 02:49 PM) Steff...a lot has to do with company policy and/or the job someone does. In every job I've had they always ask, are you ok with overtime and weekends? Why, because that's the nature of the beast. If I want to do it, that's part and parcel of the job. YET, if I travel for the company, like SS2K5, as soon as I walk out my door, I'm on the clock. Also, if I'm done with my day, and I'm called back in or called for another reason, even if I didn't have to go in, it gets charged. Because, I was done for the day. We can't just throw everyone into a barrel and say, that's the way it is or that's not the way it is. But how many places reimburse you for eating and sleeping in your own home?
