  1. QUOTE (Rex Kicka** @ Sep 8, 2008 -> 08:03 PM) Hey, this is cute. Turns out that Palin was a member of an Assembly of God church in Wasilla that preaches that Alaska will be one of the "refuge" states during the End Times. She visited and spoke there in June of this year where she talked about a proposed pipeline being part of God's plan for Alaska. She went to a more traditional church starting in 2002. The same year she ran for Lieutenant Governor. http://www.cnn.com/video/#/video/politics/...palin.faith.cnn The cuteness of Palin will wear off soon. This pick will blow up in their face before it's all said and done.
  2. QUOTE (Alpha Dog @ Sep 8, 2008 -> 02:55 PM) Obama identified one of the 7 states he thought existed that nobody else knew about! New Pennsylvania! I wonder if that is next to New Ohio? Anyone know what the capitol is of New Pennsylvania? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AuysikG55Ks I think it borders Czechoslovakia.

    Watched Lars and the Real Girl as well as The Savages over the weekend. Savages was solid. Lars had me until about the last 3rd of the movie when it became a bit too ridiculous.
  4. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Sep 8, 2008 -> 12:57 PM) Not sure if you realize this, but, if you increase cap gains tax, it WILL effect basically everyone in the country. Just because you don't pay that tax bill, doesn't mean the bill won't be passed down to you indirectly. I realize that but the average American doesn't know squat about investing in the markets.
  5. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 8, 2008 -> 11:45 AM) Not to mention it leaves out increases in things like social security, capital gains, gasoline etc... An overwhelmingly large proportion of America could care less about capital gains. That's for the elitists. And Obama is proposing an elimination of income tax for seniors making less than $50K.
  6. Seeing that the economy is the #1 issue on voters' minds Palin shows us why she is the best choice for McCain: Link The emperor has no clothes
  7. Oh yeah...that anorexic girl from The Hills (I think that's the show) is a big McCain fan.
  8. QUOTE (retro1983hat @ Sep 8, 2008 -> 09:32 AM) I saw Lindsay Lohan complaining about McCain and promoting Obama. Last time around, Kerry had all the celebrities stumping for him I firmly believe that with every celebrity that backs a candidate, that person loses votes. It's almost as if "Lindsay Lohan thinks it's right, it must be wrong." That and what really makes a celebrity knowledgable about politics? Honestly, how many of these Left Coasters know anything about the issues. Rosario Dawson was at the GOP convention. And Ted Nugent is still a dickwad.
  9. Your taxes under an Obama administration: http://alchemytoday.com/obamataxcut/
  10. QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Sep 7, 2008 -> 11:59 PM) Americans don't like being told what to do And yet McCain/Palin wants the government to tell women what to do with their bodies.
  11. It's so much fun to listen to Hawk whine about balls and strikes.
  12. QUOTE (Alpha Dog @ Sep 5, 2008 -> 07:43 PM) Quotes from people in Alaska re:Palin: http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/worl...icle4671858.ece Although it was the 'water flowing thru their sluice boxes' that got my attention. I could only imagine if the spouse of Biden or Obama were a member of such a group. The hypocrisy is laughable.
  13. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Sep 5, 2008 -> 03:28 PM) what part moved you? The POW, the POW, or the POW? The chants of Drill! Drill! Drill!
  14. QUOTE (Flash Tizzle @ Sep 5, 2008 -> 03:15 PM) Neither did I. It goes to show the perceived media bias exists in some way, because otherwise, none of us would be surprised. We're all led to assume anything judging popularity/interest would favor Obama. Not sure I see the correlation. McCain had more viewers = media bias?

    I kind of enjoyed "1000".
  16. QUOTE (Leonard Zelig @ Sep 5, 2008 -> 03:31 PM) Has anybody said how it happened? He punched out the entire Baseball Tonight crew.
  17. QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Sep 5, 2008 -> 03:03 PM) Well that's definitely true, but it seems especially the case for Obama. The people who love him REALLY love him and the people who hate him REALLY hate him, in both cases with more fervor than I've ever seen for any other candidate before. Can I ask your age?
  18. QUOTE (Nokona @ Sep 5, 2008 -> 03:00 PM) So not only are they going to run on his platform, they're now going to use the "more of the same" line. what a bunch of f***tards No kidding. GWB has been in control for 8 years and our economy is for s*** but Obama is more of the same!?!?! WTF? I don't think 5% of Obama's policy stances resemble Bush's. What delusional world are they living in? It's laughable at this point.
  19. QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Sep 5, 2008 -> 02:59 PM) is a bit of a polarizing figure to say the least. Fixed
  20. I find it odd that McCain is running a new negative ad against Obama labeling him a celebrity the day after his speech drew more viewers than Obama's. And after all the Palin hoopla. Go figure. http://thepage.time.com/2008/09/05/obama-the-celeb/
