  1. QUOTE (Brian @ Aug 28, 2008 -> 08:14 PM) Is that brunette next to Biden, his daughter? I think so. Definitely a looker.
  2. QUOTE (bmags @ Aug 28, 2008 -> 07:52 PM) it worked so well because he was so intense and nervous-looking, then he unleashes this great line and it was just super effective. Shame the networks didn't cover it. The networks are worthless. It's like watching NFL Gameday with 10 different analysts breaking it down.
  3. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 28, 2008 -> 07:44 PM) Why are there still seats in the upper deck open? It's a conspiracy. There's only about 400 people there. CGI.
  4. QUOTE (bmags @ Aug 28, 2008 -> 07:41 PM) I liked all the common people's speeches. They were funny. Barney Smith with a great line.
  5. He's just doing it to score some votes.

Pineapple Express was not bad for $5. A few laugh out loud moments.
  7. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Aug 27, 2008 -> 04:24 PM) PS: Unless I havent said it enough times, I covet that stage. Seriously I want it. Meh. It doesn't touch the stage used for Bob Hope's 1987 Christmas Special.
  8. And a little something for next week in the Twin Cities.... LINK
  9. Another reason to like Obama.
  10. QUOTE (Reddy @ Aug 27, 2008 -> 09:38 AM) ... that's my point tho. don't brand yourself as a 'new kind of politics' if you're NOT He would have been considered the dumbest politician ever if he decided to take public financing.
  11. The pickup of Harden has made this team the favorite to win it all IMO.
  12. QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ Aug 15, 2008 -> 11:17 PM) McCain will win by a landslide How do you figure? He's be out raised and out spent. He is also looking inferior in many of the battleground state polls. There's more enthusiasm about women's archery in the Olympics than there is in the McCain campaign.
  13. Back when I worked in the restaurant biz Sirotka and Parque came in a lot and I would always wait on them. Good guys.
  14. I personally think In N' Out is slightly overrated.
  15. I've personally never had one but I know people who love this place. LINK
  16. QUOTE (lostfan @ Aug 13, 2008 -> 08:59 AM) Rock Star Obama - he coined it a few posts ago and started short-titling it Am I the only one that thinks it's strange that the GOP is attacking Obama for having too many people liking him? Should he be trying to get as few people to like him as possible?
  17. BTW, if Royce Clayton makes this list I will jump out of a window.
  18. QUOTE (daa84 @ Aug 13, 2008 -> 08:44 AM) between dunn, big unit, bigger unit (rauch) and tony clark...this has to be the tallest team ever They could be a traveling basketball team. Maybe play the Globetrotters for charity.
  19. QUOTE (kapkomet @ Aug 13, 2008 -> 08:38 AM) When you look at what this man wants to do, there's fundamental shifts away from what makes us a better country. There's going to be little in the way of ingenuity or wanting to do things better from a private sector standpoint, if he gets purely what he wants (and they never do, but I am just saying it will be much easier for RSO then anyone else in modern history if he gets the super majority). We might as well all join the government and work for them. Again, you are being melodramatic. After what many historians consider the worst president in history you think Obama would destroy the country? Come on now.
  20. QUOTE (kapkomet @ Aug 13, 2008 -> 08:30 AM) No, and that makes my point even bigger. If people understood as a whole the irrepairable damage RSO can do with a supermajority congress, they wouldn't gravitate toward him. That's the main reason why this man isn't going to delve into details on anything (so he has plans on his website, whooo, most people aren't going to sit there and read it). Charisma alone is probably going to win him the election. I think you're being a little melodramatic about how out country will turn out with an Obama presidency. I was saying the same things in '04 about a 2nd Bush term. Granted things may happen that you may not be a fan of, not unlike what liberals just went through with GWB, but the world will continue to spin on its axis and the sun will still rise from the east.
  21. QUOTE (kapkomet @ Aug 13, 2008 -> 09:21 AM) No they won't. The "feel good" exposure is on RSO, not McCain. So what exactly is surprising here to you? Obama has been conducting a much more positive campaign than we've seen in a generation and counting on a true grass roots movement. And then add his charisma. Compare that to McCain who seems like an ordinary, run-of-the-mill guy running for president that you'd have difficulty differentiating from someone like Bob Dole or Walter Mondale (Personality-wise at least). Is there any surprise that a lot of people with little interest in politics are gravitating towards Obama?
  22. QUOTE (kapkomet @ Aug 13, 2008 -> 08:18 AM) Anti war is an "ok" reason to vote for him. Hello, McGovern. If people realized just how far left he really is, I don't think he'd have near the support he does now. I stand by my statement that there's a MAJORITY of voters that are simply enamoured by the man and doesn't have a clue what he stands for. Most people in this forum are versed enough in the issues (hell just read the board here, that keeps most people up on what's happening) to get it. I just don't think the majority of Americans are, period. They vote with emotion, not rationale, and "RSO" (Rock Star Obama) is much more of an emotional character then McCain. The whole point is that a large number of people that will vote for McCain know equally as little about him. So what else is new? This happens all the time.
  23. QUOTE (lostfan @ Aug 12, 2008 -> 02:47 PM) Did you think his shoulder injury would cause him to never recover or something? Basically. Figure he'd be one of those guys that keeps missing time here and there because of injuries and doesn't get a good rhythm going. Thought he'd be our Rocco Baldelli.
  24. QUOTE (GreatScott82 @ Aug 12, 2008 -> 03:41 PM) Until IF Linebrink comes back i think its best if....
