  1. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Oct 20, 2009 -> 11:43 AM) You know the Washington Times was founded by a man who said the Holocaust was restitution for Jewish leaders not supporting Jesus. He also thinks he is the second coming of Christ. Oh and thinks homosexuals are "dung-eating dogs."
  2. QUOTE (DukeNukeEm @ Oct 17, 2009 -> 02:00 PM) ^ no kidding. I'm pretty sure you've all heard about the judge in LA who's stuck in the 1930's? See how crazy some people are in this country: http://www.conservativeunderground.com/for...ead.php?t=20544 A particularly good one. anyways, this judge is crazy.
  3. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Oct 17, 2009 -> 05:26 PM) reports of a 6 year old boy floating away in a homemade weather balloon? Pretty standard. lol

QUOTE (qwerty @ Oct 17, 2009 -> 10:02 AM) It's definitely not too often that you see shiny bread, that is for damn sure. oh, i'm sure eating shiny bread with lead paint on it is just fine.
  5. QUOTE (lostfan @ Oct 17, 2009 -> 07:14 PM) I actually forgot I was black so I don't do meth. Are coke addicts covered? I make enough money to not have to do crack. All those drugs you mentioned are covered. 'Magic Mushroom' addiction? not covered. sorry.
  6. looks like the tea party enthusiasts are starting to take votes away from the GOP. they want to run their own candidates when they feel it is necessary. http://online.wsj.com/article/SB125564976279388879.html
  7. QUOTE (lostfan @ Oct 15, 2009 -> 02:58 PM) Obama wants to force feed me meth? Sweet, where do I sign up for this? you, sir, are a drug addict. luckily for you that's covered in the Obama plan.
  8. So, is there free health care yet? I haven't been paying attention. If there is, what does it cover. Everything? I want some free stuff.
  9. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Oct 14, 2009 -> 10:24 AM) GOP.com Changes The Game. Is cool now gold. political. gold. nothing makes me wanna vote more than a cool blog, like 'What up?'. It makes me wonder WHAT IS UP! then I vote GOP. Winning strategy, well done.
  10. QUOTE (Tex @ Oct 13, 2009 -> 10:20 PM) Alongwith the snazzy new web site, how about some policy initiatives that will grab young people and build the party? f*** that. Just put up some crappy website, it'll get votes. Right? You kids love the interweb right? see, the GOP is cool now.
  11. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 24, 2009 -> 10:15 PM) If you aren't even educated enough to explain another point of view, you don't deserve a bailout either. Well I certainly can't accept any form of a bailout after all these posts, I will post the mr_genius alternative sunday or so. I need to get up early tomorrow so I'm going to sleep. and I'm going out drinking tomorrow so I will refrain from a drunken explanation of my much anticipated plan.
  12. QUOTE (kapkomet @ Sep 24, 2009 -> 09:54 PM) Good lord. You're the one spouting this s*** without any real basis for your rants other then "BAILOUTS SUCKETH". How do you know? What could have been done differently? Do you even know? Other then just "something, anything"... which is a load of unbased bulls***. mark-to-market?
  13. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 24, 2009 -> 09:45 PM) Can you give something more than one-liners, or did Ron Paul not prepare you to be challenged at a fundamental level? No, I've already given you basics and I suggest you learn to use a search engine if you wish for a detailed plan. You can find plenty of respected economists writings on the bailout which will give you a different perspective. I have given you enough to go off of. Sorry, no bailout on this one for you.
  14. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 24, 2009 -> 09:21 PM) Yeah, cuz that's what I said. No one said the banking industry didn't cause its own mess. But at the sametime, if you think our society could function without a banking system, you might want to pull your head out of the sand and recognize that it hasn't been reality since oh my. and yes, the entire system fails without 3 trillion! keep telling yourself that to justify this bulls***.
  15. QUOTE (bmags @ Sep 24, 2009 -> 11:49 AM) kind of hope lost can add some light without compromising anything. Of what it says in this, how much of the tactics to track him are...ahem...of recent legality. Say...8 years... out of curiosity. i heard the terrorists were watching the Glenn Beck show when they got busted. he probably inspired them to attack
  16. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 24, 2009 -> 09:02 PM) The bonuses are a distraction. In reality that amount of money had very little effect on the bottom line, and zero effect on the value of a banks portfolio. The last two sentences would have meant no banking system, period. i really don't think so. there could have been a much smaller bailout and kept the banking operations from completely failing. if the side wings of the business go bust competition picks up the business. the funds should have been the bare minimum to secure the banking industry, period. billions in bonuses are not distractions, and you know this judging by your complaints of a 2 billion dollar cash for clunkers deal . but it's done and it's crap. i guess i'm just going to have to accept our bailout minded society. nobody is responsible for their own actions, large segments of the population wants the government to do everything for them; but i guess i'm going to have to accept it and stop posting in this thread.
  17. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 24, 2009 -> 08:33 PM) So, let's hear it. for starters, the minimum amount of funding to avoid a disaster. bailout funds would not go to bonuses, and all other business related portions of the company go bust if need be. these corporations do not belong in business. they failed. this is reality, this is not socialism where your failures are backed up with my money.
  18. QUOTE (lostfan @ Sep 24, 2009 -> 08:11 PM) Yeah that's what I'm trying to do and I can't. Wouldn't we basically have to start everything over somehow? There could have been other steps taken, rather than multi-trillion dollar abomination that we are paying for. The bailout was a complete failure when considering the amount of money; it has set us up for bigger more devastating crashes to come. There is this myth that the bailout, the way it was put together, was the only possible action to take. It's just not true.
  19. QUOTE (lostfan @ Sep 24, 2009 -> 05:42 PM) Believe it or not, liberals are pissed at Obama for not being liberal enough. Blasphemy. Questioning Obamacus gives aid and comfort to the terrorists.
  20. I just saw an interview where Moore questioned some of the Great Leader's decisions. He must be reprimanded.
  21. QUOTE (lostfan @ Sep 24, 2009 -> 04:51 PM) What is being argued in this thread? I can't telll anymore. This is why I'm getting visibly irritated. Are we defending right-wing extremists or denying they exist? If so, what the f*** for? Are we calling liberals hypocrites? Are we saying Glenn Beck is bad for America? What? This is all Rush Limbaughs fault. oh wait, Glenn Beck I meant to say. it's all Glenn Beck's fault.
  22. QUOTE (Rex Kicka** @ Sep 24, 2009 -> 02:05 PM) Actually its not unprecedented at all. The shallow 2001 recession had the same effect although to a lesser extent. When a lot of the jobs that are lost in a recession never come back (re: manufacturing), this should be expected no? it's not a good trend. on the current scale, it's very bad. a u-6 rate of 20%, with a roster of people that lost jobs which are 'gone and not coming back' is a big deal. we have had negative job growth over a decade and I don't see that trend reversing.
