Patent Law Reform
QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Feb 28, 2011 -> 09:20 PM) But those rules would do nothing more than just change the game. If I am a major company say Microsoft, I submit as thousands of patents hoping that I write one vague enough to some how say I patented twitter, etc. So it wont end patent lawsuits, except if you consider the big boys leveraging out every small competitor via threat of lawsuit. As for patents themselves, they are extremely difficult and something that Ive only been a part of 1 time. Drafting was ridiculously annoying and problematic to say the least. As for the proposed change, Im not a huge fan of a law that will significantly tip the scales in big businesses favor. But I can completely understand why big business is padding some pockets to make this change. agreed

The Republican Thread
QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Mar 1, 2011 -> 10:24 AM) Fair enough, but I think that criticism would fit better in the Dem thread. Plenty of people on the left were pissed at him for caving on that (and the estate tax), and it was a Republican party demand. Just seems odd that it's in the ® thread. There's a lot of different Republican leaning opinions on many of these issues.

How about this one; http://michellemalkin.com/2011/02/23/video...works-activist/ there is a media blackout for most major outlets on this stuff. Very different from the coverage the Tea Party protests got.

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Feb 23, 2011 -> 01:52 PM) Those f***ing Republicans. Why can't they tone down the rhetoric? http://thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefing-roo...-when-necessary Just proves what all of us distinguished GOP thread posters knew all along, the calls for civility from the Democrat party and their media minions was just opportunistic rambling.

Vice President Joe Biden Catch All
QUOTE (knightni @ Feb 20, 2011 -> 09:35 PM) Modified the sub-name. It seemed appropriate somehow.

Vice President Joe Biden Catch All
and actually, i believe i may have been incorrect earlier in the thread. if it's just you, there could still be a line. if the vendor is talking on his cell phone, and not taking your order, you are standing in line. a one person queue.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Feb 20, 2011 -> 03:59 PM) If I get in line first for a hot dog, I'm first in line, the line doesn't start behind me. And I get a hot dog. Win-win. but if it's just you, there is no line. if I am at the DMV and I am getting my license handed to me I am not in line, whoever is next is first in line.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Feb 19, 2011 -> 11:55 AM) You still can't even call the party what it wants to be called, you have to make a grammatical error to call them something else. well, if they shut down the government i'll call them by their proper and glorious name of 'Democrats'. I'm willing to compromise here, Balta.

QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Feb 17, 2011 -> 12:06 PM) Obama promises full funding of Land and Water Conservation Fund, for only the third time in its history, as part of his Great Outdoors initiative. He also wants a new CCC-like job corps for young people, working on parks and rec areas so that they are working. Funding will come from existing oil and gas extraction funds, so this doesn't have to pass Congress. Linky. waste of money - The environment thread
