  1. interesting... I'd do this in a heartbeat. NY Daily News
  2. let me translate "I was dumb to say we couldn't sign him, so now he's not going anywhere (unless I can get something good for him." inactivity=s***ty
  3. QUOTE(jackie hayes @ Nov 28, 2006 -> 10:41 PM) I mean, there are a lot of bizarre trades proposed here, where we're getting Hughes and Pelfrey and every great prospect the Angels ever had, but -- when you start talking about trading for Miguel Cabrera, just drink some water and sleep it off for a day, please. I mean, I'm only asking you to post half-sober, for God's sake. thank you
  4. QUOTE(WhiteSoxfan1986 @ Nov 24, 2006 -> 03:33 PM) That's whats so bad, people in Wisconsin won't be able to watch the Packers (they do have a thursday night game later this year too). I guess Colorado Springs couldn't watch the Broncos yesterday. well, im sure NFL Network did this in order to get these areas to pick them up, and trust me, when the cheeseheads can't see the Pack, or the Bronco fans can't see their team, the outcry will get it done. a smart play. i get the NFL N, so i don't really care...
  5. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Nov 27, 2006 -> 03:45 PM) If Garcia + Fields for Santana were possible, I'd do it in a heartbeat. with Joe's back, now might be the time to move him...
  6. thought this deserved its own thread. the update just said this deal is close...
  7. QUOTE(Soxbadger @ Nov 21, 2006 -> 07:11 PM) Zito and MB have very little chance at realistically getting 300 wins. 20 wins per season for 10 more years? They have already played some of their peak years and were not getting 20 wins. 2003: Barry Zito, 23 wins oh, and the Cy.
  8. good for Juan. now lose some weight off dat phat ass...
  9. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Nov 21, 2006 -> 10:49 AM) Good point, I really wish he hadn't used the C word, because when he ripped into Richards for being a 'has been', he made him look pretty stupid. I'm not defending the guy for using it, but sometimes ( and I speak from experience) when someone fires a racial slur at you, you realize you're dealing with a stupid SOB and the only way to be hurtful back is to stoop to their level. cracker came after the N word. there's no excuse, richards went overboard... but to refuse to forgive is crazy. he's deserving of a second chance, and id gladly pay my money to see him...
  10. some told me that NPH came out last week... kind of surprised by that one.
  11. QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Nov 21, 2006 -> 10:10 AM) wishful thinking Heilman/Humber + Lastings is more realistic, and even that isn't necessarily going to happen I'd be happy with either...
  12. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Nov 20, 2006 -> 01:40 PM) The Bulls will be a near 50 win team by the end of the season. I wouldn't bet on that one...
  13. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Nov 20, 2006 -> 01:29 PM) I would guess we would win at least 5 more games next year, simply from having the much improved bullpen all year, plus I think the majority of the starting pitching is going to have bounceback years, big ones in the cases of Garcia and Buehrle. Heck at the rate the Hawks are going, the Sox EASY. the hawks have a better win percentage than the bulls there, killer...
  14. QUOTE(3 BeWareTheNewSox 5 @ Nov 18, 2006 -> 02:07 PM) yes, it is the core. go to amazon.com, you should see the info (i'm logged in) even core is worth it. obviously millions of people will be trying, itll be like trying to get world series tickets. but its SOOOO worth it.
  15. of coures i voted for hawk. QUOTE(Rex Hudler @ Nov 18, 2006 -> 02:15 PM) I sure as hell don't see Hawk as a HOF'er. Just one man's opinion, but he is average at best and as far as signature phrases "He Gone" is horrible. It reeks of mediocre homer. This coming from Rex Hudler!
  16. 1,000 Xbox 360's are going to be sold for $99 through Amazon.com on Thanksgiving...
  17. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Nov 17, 2006 -> 11:50 AM) the same reason alot of people on here want to keep Freddy, because he is "proven." "proven" to sweat. this deal helps you now, and in the future... santana is cheaper, had a better era and whip last season, and has no where to go but up...
  18. why would the angels want freddy over santana when santana had the better season next year, and projects to be the much better starting pitcher for the next five years?
  19. QUOTE(YASNY @ Nov 17, 2006 -> 05:15 AM) From the Sun-Times: I don't covet the idea of facing Freddy in the playoffs, but any package that includes Santana sure gets my attention. Here's the link. Scroll down, as it appears to be a blank page at first. sign me up. id do it straight up for f***s sake.
  20. yeah... its not March, its f***ing November. Calm down.
