  1. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Nov 3, 2006 -> 07:40 AM) Well that's it. There is something going on with Anderson in the clubhouse that we haven't been told yet. Either #1, he's lazy, or #2, he's a complete jackass and pissed off his whole team, or #3 a (the D-angelo Jimenez as I like to call it) combination of both I mean think about it, the Sox were willing to put a guy out there all of the time who self-admitedly could not play CF over Brian. I have no doubts something extra is going on there... i think you hit this on the head ss2k5. this is odd that the organization was so "behind" him. However, i dont think he's a jackass, from everything I've seen he fit in well with the club. i think the problem is that he plain can't hit.
  2. QUOTE(sox4lifeinPA @ Oct 31, 2006 -> 09:05 PM) Lets say you had $2500 (yeah steff, only $2500 ) Where would you go? And what would you do? I just got back from my honeymoon in Maui, but that is too pricey. However, while out there, I was told that Cancun and Jamaica are affordable because we were complaining we'd never be able to come back because of the expenses. Just make sure it's tropical, and you will be very happy.
  3. QUOTE(tonyho7476 @ Nov 2, 2006 -> 08:26 AM) This show drives me f***ing crazy. This cloud of smoke thing is just ridiculous. That being said, can't wait for next week. The problem I have with this show, is everything seems government conspiracy, and then "weird others" conspiracy, so it becomes believable, then they throw the black smoke at us again. It started out as "magical, unbelievable things" happening, then those things were explained with real life (everything must just be part of a project)... even the polar bears could possibly be explained that way. Now a cloud of black smoke kills eko, wtf? However, that episode was great, so much for my favorite character, now locke is back on top (and sawyer, who's going to get some next week).
  4. QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Oct 31, 2006 -> 10:33 PM) I believe this was a rumor started by Will Carroll and the New York press is on it, but Bruce Levine shot it down during the 9 o'clock hour on ESPN radio. Would you trade Garcia for Sheff + cash and put Gary in LF? this won't happen. this is east coast created garbage. this team doesnt need power hitters, especially aged, ex-roiders with bad wrists...
  5. QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Oct 31, 2006 -> 12:15 PM) Controlling sperm production without effecting testosterone levels AND avoiding 'unwanted' side effects? My ass. I wouldn't feel comfortable taking these even if were deemed completely safe. that's kind of funny, yet I'm sure you, like most of us, enjoy the fact that your woman takes birth control pills that have documented side effects...
  6. I'm unsure, but him in a Cardinals hat has to be against some rule... f*** that, he's losing my love with this bulls***.
  7. you gys are way off. obviously the scissors had peanut butter on them, but the victim, who was allergic to peanut butter, actually licked the peanut butter completely off, and as his/her esophogial wall began to close, the scissors were dropped and the victim flung backward on the bed and died. DUH
  8. he slipped. you can't fault him for slipping. and monroe made max effort. pods wouldnt have gotten a glove on that ball.
  9. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Oct 24, 2006 -> 04:58 PM) Here's the question I have for folks here: how comfortable are we with a quasi-rookie leadoff hitter/LF next year? (Stick Milledge next to Anderson and suddenly we have a great defensive outfield, with potentially a ton of speed and good power in LF) isn't one of the knocks on milledge his defense? I could be wrong.
  10. happy anniversary, white sox world championship. what a year it has been...
  11. go away. you left him at the alter, now leave him alone.
  12. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Oct 11, 2006 -> 07:03 AM) 7/11 stores are paying the White Sox $500,000 to move the start time of weeknight games to 7:11. a little more time for me to get to my seat. i love it.
  13. its all filled... sorry man myt eam name is "I give Indian head." i hope thats ok for soxtalk... haha
  14. hey guys, last last night i decided to set up a hockey league at yahoo. I would like many of the regulars here to join, as I think it would be good times. I am going to leave it as "private" until about 5 this afternoon, bc I want it to fill up by the 10pm draft. The draft is live online, but you can obviously pre-rank your players. Yahoo! Fantasy Hockey League ID: 90866 Password: hockey

    The Departed

QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Oct 9, 2006 -> 10:26 PM) Although I question how sincere you were in your belief that the Sox were going to be contenders if you thought scheduling a wedding in the middle of October was a safe bet. haha, trust me, it was scheduled quite some time ago, and that thought entered my mind... though my fiance' is all about the white sox as well, and she would have put up with going out and watching the game, at least one of them, while we were in maui. it was something i was "worried" about, but i sure wish i had to deal with it. it's going to be hard enough missing the bears game on sunday night, though it should be over relatively early anyway!
  16. QUOTE(sircaffey @ Oct 9, 2006 -> 09:21 PM) Zimmerman's a rookie who put up similar if not better stats than Crede...in RFK. Zimmerman should win the GG in the NL for sure. If not this year, he will have many when his career is over. actually, the one knock on Ryan Zimmerman is his putrid defense. He had issues in his only minor league season as well as issues this year in the majors. he's a loooong way from the gold glove. just look at his .965 fielding percentage this season, compare that to .978...

    The Departed

QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Oct 9, 2006 -> 04:33 PM) Good stuff, the married life. Notice the lack of green. Mrs. FlaSoxx is the one that keeps me sane. Alcohol helps too. im getting married in 5 days! holy schneikies!
  18. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Oct 9, 2006 -> 07:45 PM) i gotta say thats not one of your better efforts. shameless self promotion, btw
  19. QUOTE(CanOfCorn @ Oct 9, 2006 -> 01:22 PM) Personally, I'd rather have Jeter if we are going to trade with the Yankees. He will do whatever it takes to win, yes, you lose a lot defensively from Uribe, but you pick up about 70 points in batting average and about the same in baseball IQ. Discuss. The Yankees will never trade Derek Jeter. End of discussion.
  20. QUOTE(Soxfest @ Oct 9, 2006 -> 01:14 PM) KW needs to see what it would take, I put A-Rod at SS and think he would be a great addition and Sox have talent to get a deal done this winter! it would be awesome, but i think the yanks would deal his ass to the NL.
