I had guessed she rewarded him a different way... so when I read it was marijuana I was a bit relieved...

Jimmy Rollins would be a perfect fit for this team, assuming we can rid ourselves of Pods. Then you can pursue another bat for left field (can one dream of Carl Crawford?)... a package of Pods, Josh Fields, and Lance Broadway would assuredly be looked at for Crawford... Then, your order looks like Rollins Crawford Dye Thome Konerko Pierzynski Crede Iguchi Anderson also allowing Iguchi to move down in the order for good, where I still think he could excel given enough time. However, none of this will happen, so who cares?

it's superstition, but why not follow it. if the viewers didn't know there was a perfect game going on, then they obviously didn't care enough. For the sake of superstition alone, Hawk should have kept his mouth shut. we can't place the blame solely on Hawk though, Chris Rongey busted out his own form of jynx...

personally, I think Jenks will be fine... macdougals crazy arm motion scares me a bit... but let him throw his arm off this year if it gets us in the door.

gee... maybe the world series clincher?

QUOTE(South Side Fireworks Man @ Sep 12, 2006 -> 09:36 PM) Will the Sox score more that two runs tonight? no.

QUOTE(mreye @ Sep 12, 2006 -> 09:27 AM) I thought they couldn't do that. I'll believe it when I see it. FOX owns that time and they don't bend easily.

QUOTE(Steff @ Sep 12, 2006 -> 10:00 AM) There was (and for some still is) no love loss for him. But one consistant thing is that everyone with a half a brain knew that the beef was with Kenny and Frank and not Frank and his teammates and fans. exxxactly.

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Sep 12, 2006 -> 09:50 AM) Unless we start adding names like Irwin Santana, this is a no-go. Irwin.

QUOTE(My Dixie Normus @ Sep 12, 2006 -> 04:05 AM) Frank Thomas was a cancer in the locker room and I am glad he is gone. a. cancer. in. the. locker. room. why? because he and konerko had a little spat where paulie classlessly took it to the media? or when he wasn't playing and fatass david wells called him out, only to find out later that the Big Hurt had a freaking torn BICEPS? dude, back it up if you're going to say that s***... that's ridiculous... he's the best player this franchise has ever seen.

f*** that, Joe Crede is a franchise third baseman that you don't get rid of for a scrawny little slap-hitting leadoff guy... we can do better, while not trading such a key to our team... Joe will be hitting 4th or 5th for this team when Thome is gone... oh, Lord, I just realized that Paul "double play" Konerko is on this team for 4 more years after this one...

Dumb. 95-2000 FRANK THOMAS over JIM THOME RIGHT NOW. JIM THOME over FRANK THOMAS BEGINNING OF SEASON. JIM THOME over FRANK THOMAS FOREVER. JIM THOME over FRANK THOMAS our other players have stopped, not him.

QUOTE(The Critic @ Sep 11, 2006 -> 10:33 AM) There's a discussion on this going on in The Diamond Club. Both teams got what they wanted out of each guy. I, too, am happy for both of them. if this isn't "Palehose Talk," I don't know what is.

OK, Thomas has been coming hard (ew) lately, and the numbers are actually getting close... unbelievable. So, who's going to finish with the better numbers regarding homers and RBI? average is thrown in just for comparision purposes Frank Thomas .281, 35, 97 20 games remaining Jim Thome .293, 39, 97 19 games remaining Regardless, to the Big Hurt and to Jim Thome for excellent comeback seasons.

of course Jenks should have come in. he's been one of the top closers in the game this year, and said he was fine... it obviously wasn't his night, but you can't question Bobby Jenks getting the nod...

um, when they arent asking questions of the people donating blood such as "do you have aids" then yeah, they need a lesson taught.

QUOTE($I Need Money$ @ Sep 6, 2006 -> 06:25 PM) we don't deserve to be that high. were like somewhere between 15 and 20. -
hmmm... what has this pitching staff had? contreras went on the DL for two weeks... that's about it... everything else could be assumed as an effect from last year, or you could say that these pitchers just regressed (we all saw this coming with freddy last year)... eh. nice idea though...

QUOTE(Steff @ Sep 7, 2006 -> 12:39 PM) No.. Really? f***ing full moon around here lately. well, i mean, who are you to make a judgement like this until your child is murdered and the killer (in your and about 70% of the publics eye) skates? you can talk all you want, but i think he can do whatever he wants within the law that helps him with his grief. -

Goldman suing to take OJ Simpson's likeness rights
Steve9347 replied to southsider2k5's topic in SLaM
QUOTE(Steff @ Sep 7, 2006 -> 08:35 AM) It seems.....? The guy follows OJ around like he's his mommy. I can't imagine the grief, but the hounding of him is creepy. I would think seeing him free as a bird spending his cash would make me more sick than anything else. the dude did murder his son...
