if she wants out, you trying to keep her in is the worst thing for both of you.
  4. haha, the only thing i would change would be use a newer quarter from 2005 or 2006.
  5. someone just please tell freddy that this is a BIG GAME.
  6. I felt the same way watching the game yesterday and today... it felt like this was the White Sox again... I really really hope we take tomorrow.
  7. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Aug 12, 2006 -> 08:03 PM) I dont think he would be available to the team leading the Wildcard right now unless they were mathematically out of it not to mention he needs to be waiver or dfa'd... there's no point to discuss it. preston wilson is a good defender, and used soley against lefties would be a fine addition... BUT who do you get rid of to bring him on? Or, I guess with 40-man's coming up...

I don't see how Detroit fans could argue that Maggs has been the better player this year (last year we won't even discuss!) Jermaine, .325, 30, 87, and leads all of baseball with a 1.025 OPS Maggs, .297, 16, 79, .816 OPS it's not even debatable.
  9. QUOTE(Buehrle>Wood @ Aug 11, 2006 -> 04:38 PM) Rob Mackowiak not hitting well? Huh? He's hitting .299 this year, 27 points higher than his previous high. And his OBP is sitting way above his career numbers as well. I'd say he's doing damn fine. agreed.
  10. it's never going to end, so don't let it bug you.
  11. With FOX, it shouldnt be a big deal. They should just have an MLB Extra Innings w/FOX package. FOX has no problem taking money for the NFL Sunday Ticket. I'm glad I get the U, but I'd much rather be able to watch the game in HD at my buddy's... PS, the title of this thread should have been changed to, "That is TOTAL B.S!"
  12. QUOTE(MarlinFan84 @ Aug 11, 2006 -> 03:40 PM) As many red blooded americans can attact the Chuck Norris Bridge as they went, it wont have any effect. The Chuck Norris Bridge can only be destroyed by Chuck Norris the Man. One of the most inovative functions of the bridge, according to some sources, is for it to totally dislodge from its placements and deliver a round house kick. This was designed by Chuck Norris the architect of pain. I heart MarlinFan84.
  13. QUOTE(Wanne @ Aug 11, 2006 -> 03:28 PM) For Liriano's sake (and ours)...I hope he sits the rest of the year...but I have a feeling that Minny will rush him back if it's still tight for the WC which would be disasterous for him in the long haul. I'd hope Gardenhire is smarter than that. wanne... i f-ing love this sig of yours
  14. As Jimmy Kimmel said last night, this would be a good, strategic move... in case Hungary was ever in disputes with the US because "what red-blooded American soldier would bomb the Chuck Norris Bridge?"
  15. QUOTE(rangercal @ Aug 11, 2006 -> 01:27 AM) He has 3 Hr's since July 16th. After having 10 each in April and May and 8 in July ( 6 of those being in the first 2 weeks. ) He has leveled off of late . I think he may be trying to beat those shifts and not pulling as much. He improved so much at hitting opposite field since April. Maybe saving his last wind for October. What does everyone else think? Maybe a Sore back? Maybe that is having him push singles and doubles instead of going for solo bombs. im thinking he's just getting tired.
  16. QUOTE(My Dixie Normus, but so is my gayness @ Aug 11, 2006 -> 11:17 AM) I don't care how he does it, but get Carl Crawford in left field at the cell next year. The Cubs could be celebrating 100 years a futility in the near future. I am not sure how that can not motivate them to spend money this off season. Another Sox playoff run would only add more pressure. Carl Crawford is the absolute, #1 target I would go after as well. I don't see the Sox beating out a team like LA, or BOS to get him, but if they could... wow.
  17. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Aug 11, 2006 -> 11:15 AM) The point is, a big name means nothing if he's not any good. I'm talking about the big name free agents as in the best available players, not just popular names. oh man, kalapse, you did say sandy alomar is a possible future HOF... regardless of what you meant, for shame! for shame!
  18. QUOTE(mreye @ Aug 11, 2006 -> 11:04 AM) Not the money the Cubs had. You're gonna tell me the Sox had the money to spend when they were pulling 1.6 mil vs the Cubs pulling 2.9 and 3+? I'll guarantee the Sox have spent a much higher percentage of revenue on the club than the Cubs have in the last 10 years. point taken.
  19. airbrushed.... look at vick's shoe... why oh why, i dont know.
  20. QUOTE(mreye @ Aug 11, 2006 -> 10:59 AM) I think you're missing the point. The Sox didn't have the money to sign that "big" free agent. The Cubs have and did and still haven't signed anyone. Oh BS, the sox always had the money. I love Kenny's ways of trading for players and getting other teams to pay their contracts, BUT, it was always BS that the Sox didn't spend, and now that they ARE spending, we be happy.
  21. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Aug 11, 2006 -> 10:53 AM) And they'll spend another offseason flirting with the big names in free agency only to come up short in the end, signing a few 2nd tier guys rather than actually shelling out the cash that they have available. It seems they do it every year, they'll negotiate with the big names to get the fans excited but in the end say the price was just too steep and sign a few of the lesser names instead. Who was the last BIG name free agent the Cubs signed? Who was the last big name free agent the White Sox signed? Iguchi, Pierzynski are the biggest names, and at the time of their signing it wasn't huge... (unless you count a Freddy Garcia extension, which I don't.) Colon, Garcia, Vazquez, Thome, all acquired in trade.... Paul Konerko... does that count? He was already our boy, so we had the leg up there.

QUOTE(Texsox @ Aug 11, 2006 -> 07:32 AM) I know a number of posters here use gmail, are you noticing a lot of spam not getting blocked? I've had no issues with spam getting through the filter. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Aug 11, 2006 -> 07:53 AM) Yeah GMail's great with the spam I get, it generally just goes straight to the Spam Folder. It's just a great E-Mail service in general. what he said.
