Vote Harrelson for the Ford C. Frick award
I can't vote as I refuse to like the pointless baseball hall of fame on Facebook.

QUOTE (SoxAce @ Sep 18, 2013 -> 09:49 AM) Hmmm James Starks (who I just picked up @ CIN) or Daryl Richardson (@ DAL) as a flex? That was the first time a Packers player ran for a 100 yards in like 80 years. Expecting a repeat is foolish.

QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Sep 18, 2013 -> 08:19 AM) pick two-hakim nicks, reggie wayne, james jones I've been playing nicks and wayne, but I'm leaning towards benching wayne this week vs. SF Eh, I'm still playing Wayne. Jones has a much bigger bust potential on any given week.

2013 Video Game Thread
Wow. This game. This is a game. I did the first two "missions" with Franklin (and gave him a James Harden beard). In those missions, I said "holy s***" aloud multiple times. The peak was when I shot a vehicle, then randomly shot at the ground, then the fuel from the leaking vehicle caught fire which caught up to the vehicle and the f***ing thing blew up! Other notes: I ran over a dog. And I laughed and I laughed. I drove up to the "Vinewood" sign and shot some tourists. Then I drove off the mountain and bailed and died. I dove off a high bridge into water and swam around a lot. I successfully outran a 3 star wanted level. I shot up a strip club. I shot a deer. I died like 8 times. I put on a backwards cap. I laughed outloud like 80 times at the sheer insanity on my screen. This was all just in 1.5 hours. Holy f***.

QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Sep 17, 2013 -> 03:20 PM) I actually find driving a lot easier in this one than in GTA 4. GTA 4 I was sliding all over the place, I couldn't make any turns without going about 1/4 speed, and I constantly hit everything. That may be more realistic, but it's much less of a pain to drive across the city when I can go 100 mph and still be able to weave in and out of traffic. I just dove out of the Atomic blimp at the highest I think I could go. I jumped out over the skyscrapers hoping I would hit one, but I missed them all and went splat on the street, it was gruesome. I've only actually accomplished 1 mission so far, despite playing for about 2 1/2 hours. The phone use is AWESOME. It was SO BAD in GTA 4, but in this one it is really slick and fast and useful. You can access your bank account, go on the websites, call or text friends and services, reply to emails (gives you choices of responses), take pictures, instantly save your game, and possibly other things I haven't notice yet. The nicest part may be that you use your controller to hit the buttons on the phone. This allows you to drive your car and use your phone, and it allows you go move through the phone so much quicker when you don't have to scroll through options. Yeah - I let it install on my lunchbreak and will get a good two hours in before the wife gets home from yoga. I'd be shocked if I do any missions beyond the first "find your apartment" mission (if that's how it's set up yet again).

QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Sep 16, 2013 -> 10:02 PM) Reggie Wayne, Pierre Garcon, or Anquan Boldin? PPR. This is a problem I wish I had. Nothing like saying "f*** it" and going balls out on running backs just to wind up with your 2 and 3 being MJD and Wilson.

QUOTE (chw42 @ Sep 17, 2013 -> 01:31 AM) One gripe about GTA V...analog steering is far too sensitive. Everything else is awesome though. The amount of detail is amazing. I'd be shocked if you can't adjust the sensitivity of the analog steering.

QUOTE (ChiSoxFan05 @ Sep 16, 2013 -> 03:42 PM) Not much of a Facebook guy, but there's a good Sox page I follow. They're usually pretty good with info, they leaked the Peavy and Crain deals many hours before they were official. Here's what they posted recently on Beckham: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=433...5219&type=1 Two posts and a link directly to a Facebook page. Obvious, much?

The fans are super excited for hockey in Florida. This was the anthem scene at the BB&T Center in Sunrise, Fla., this afternoon for Predators-Panthers. It proves once and for all that there's no better setting for preseason hockey than a doubleheader that begins at 2:30 on a Monday in south Florida in the middle of September.

QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Sep 16, 2013 -> 01:08 PM) Mac & Speigs had Arkush on this afternoon and the three of them were talking about how Peppers really isn't being double-teamed this year. It sure looked like he was double-teamed yesterday. That said, he's entered "old and bad" territory regardless. Julius Peppers of 5 years ago laughed at double teams and f***ed quaterbacks in the ass.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Sep 16, 2013 -> 12:59 PM) And you, like many, don't give him the credit he deserves because he has LeBron. Think back to '11 and compare them to '13 (offensively speaking) and it's not even close. "Pace and space" is what Heat fans call it. There's many articles you can find online dissecting the Heat's very complicated offensive schemes. The offensive scheme that involves players standing at the 3 point line to clear the lane for Wade or LeBron? Yeah, REALLY complicated. It's so brilliant it completely negates any value Chris Bosh has by making him take 18 foot jumpers all day.

Gordon Beckham
QUOTE (oldsox @ Sep 16, 2013 -> 08:29 AM) His BA is sinking fast. Down to .264.. What happened? Now looks like the .300 - hitting Gordo that we saw recently is just a figment of our newton. My question is what value an arbitrator will put on Beckham, because I don't see the Sox volunteering tp pay what they would have had he kept hitting. That said, if his slump continues, they will probably keep playing him. This year end slump has to cost him a lot of money. Gordon Beckham sucks. This is an undeniable fact.
