QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Sep 16, 2013 -> 12:34 PM) What does that even mean? Dead is dead. He didn't grovel for his life.

QUOTE (oldsox @ Sep 16, 2013 -> 08:29 AM) His BA is sinking fast. Down to .264.. What happened? Now looks like the .300 - hitting Gordo that we saw recently is just a figment of our newton. My question is what value an arbitrator will put on Beckham, because I don't see the Sox volunteering tp pay what they would have had he kept hitting. That said, if his slump continues, they will probably keep playing him. This year end slump has to cost him a lot of money. Gordon Beckham sucks. This is an undeniable fact.

http://www.ign.com/articles/2013/09/16/gra...t-auto-v-review I think this is going to mean "so much for Madden" for awhile.

Just amazing Breaking Bad. Just amazing. Hank went out a man, so that's good. Walt's call to Skyler was brilliant. Only two episodes left.

QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Sep 16, 2013 -> 11:23 AM) I'm not sure what the hell we're supposed to do with MJD and Wilson. Wait til next year. -

Pierre Garcon and Dwayne Bowe both had good to spectacular weeks and outperformed Larry Fitzgerald. Just sayin'. Also, having MJD and David Wilson in my lineup makes me want to self mutilate. -
The new The Great Gatsby was surprisingly solid.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Sep 13, 2013 -> 10:05 PM) When LeBron James is the prize, you damn right you give up that player. Beasley, at that time, had no place with Miami once they got James. But now after years of drug abuse and regression - perfect fit moneymaker.

QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Sep 13, 2013 -> 03:50 PM) It's tempting, but I gotstohave a physical copy of my games if I can. Agreed.

Wow, a paycheck with 43% more money is nice.

Michael Beasley is a big fat negative, and anyone who argues differently needs to stop watching the NBA (or start watching it much more closely).

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 12, 2013 -> 07:36 PM) I dont know if anyone told her, but you can totally see Hannah's Montanas in her new video.

New Rise Against makes me happy.

QUOTE (chw42 @ Sep 12, 2013 -> 09:53 AM) Bryan Cranston's pizza throw was the best. I preferred "booooooooooooo b****"

QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Sep 12, 2013 -> 12:08 AM) Oh my god, this may be the greatest parody video I have ever seen. Hahaha, wow. That is fantastic.

QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Sep 11, 2013 -> 04:06 PM) It really is ironic that the two players who saved baseball fewer than 5 years after a strike wiped out the World Series are being shunned by the MLB when the MLB knew that atleast one of these guys - McGwire - had muscle enhancing drugs in his locker. Yes, I know Cal did his thing in 1995 and that was nice, but there were still a ton of people bitter about baseball. Then - home runs! - and popularity's back up again ...and then f*** those guys! MLB's a bunch of idiots. They should have just brought in testing and forgotten about the era instead of creating the pointless witch hunt that was the Mitchell Report. That said, that remains some good f***ing reading.

QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Sep 11, 2013 -> 03:54 PM) Well a lot of times they use inside jokes and jokes that you'd have to know the character to understand. Same thing with Workaholics and their bevy of inside jokes and terminology. Or on Arrested Development. Or on Parks & Recreation. Or on pretty much any good comedy.

McGwire / Sosa was still one of the most pleasurable "races" I've ever seen. It's not like they weren't on an even playing field.

QUOTE (Stan Bahnsen @ Sep 11, 2013 -> 02:43 PM) Saw half a show of the League for the first time last week. Thought it was just awful and unfunny. I'm a fan of Sunny (though a little off the rails, imo, the past few seasons), and was surprised that they'd put the two back-to-back. Do I need to give it more of a chance, folks? I respect all your opinions, but I really don't have the time to be less selective in my viewing. The League is f***ing hilarious.

QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Sep 11, 2013 -> 01:18 PM) Indeed. His whole train of thought on Bowe made sense to me. You read his book? Great stuff in there about things different leagues do, etc. I did. And yes, his train of thought made sense on Bowe, but sometimes he gets carried away. See: Miller, Lamar. -

QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Sep 11, 2013 -> 10:53 AM) I don't know about much better, they did have Owens, who Bowe is trying to serve as on this team (and has similar size). You little Matthew Berry fan. -
QUOTE (juddling @ Sep 10, 2013 -> 03:34 PM) SOA back tonight.....as excited as I am at it's return....I must admit I can barely remember how last season ended....... The first episode was solid - nothing spectacular. The school shooting is a very smart way to talk about guns.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 10, 2013 -> 02:59 PM) I'm the opposite. Because baseball season was pretty much done when hockey ended, I have been waiting for hockey and high school sports forever.
