Just amazing Breaking Bad. Just amazing. Hank went out a man, so that's good. Walt's call to Skyler was brilliant. Only two episodes left.

Pierre Garcon and Dwayne Bowe both had good to spectacular weeks and outperformed Larry Fitzgerald. Just sayin'. Also, having MJD and David Wilson in my lineup makes me want to self mutilate.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Sep 13, 2013 -> 10:05 PM) When LeBron James is the prize, you damn right you give up that player. Beasley, at that time, had no place with Miami once they got James. But now after years of drug abuse and regression - perfect fit moneymaker.

Wow, a paycheck with 43% more money is nice.- NBA Thread 2013-2014
Michael Beasley is a big fat negative, and anyone who argues differently needs to stop watching the NBA (or start watching it much more closely).- 2012-13 Music Thread

QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Sep 12, 2013 -> 12:08 AM) Oh my god, this may be the greatest parody video I have ever seen. Hahaha, wow. That is fantastic.- 2013 MLB Catch-All thread
QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Sep 11, 2013 -> 04:06 PM) It really is ironic that the two players who saved baseball fewer than 5 years after a strike wiped out the World Series are being shunned by the MLB when the MLB knew that atleast one of these guys - McGwire - had muscle enhancing drugs in his locker. Yes, I know Cal did his thing in 1995 and that was nice, but there were still a ton of people bitter about baseball. Then - home runs! - and popularity's back up again ...and then f*** those guys! MLB's a bunch of idiots. They should have just brought in testing and forgotten about the era instead of creating the pointless witch hunt that was the Mitchell Report. That said, that remains some good f***ing reading.- 2013 TV Thread
QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Sep 11, 2013 -> 03:54 PM) Well a lot of times they use inside jokes and jokes that you'd have to know the character to understand. Same thing with Workaholics and their bevy of inside jokes and terminology. Or on Arrested Development. Or on Parks & Recreation. Or on pretty much any good comedy.- 2013 MLB Catch-All thread
McGwire / Sosa was still one of the most pleasurable "races" I've ever seen. It's not like they weren't on an even playing field.- 2013 TV Thread
QUOTE (Stan Bahnsen @ Sep 11, 2013 -> 02:43 PM) Saw half a show of the League for the first time last week. Thought it was just awful and unfunny. I'm a fan of Sunny (though a little off the rails, imo, the past few seasons), and was surprised that they'd put the two back-to-back. Do I need to give it more of a chance, folks? I respect all your opinions, but I really don't have the time to be less selective in my viewing. The League is f***ing hilarious.- Fantasy football advice thread
QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Sep 11, 2013 -> 01:18 PM) Indeed. His whole train of thought on Bowe made sense to me. You read his book? Great stuff in there about things different leagues do, etc. I did. And yes, his train of thought made sense on Bowe, but sometimes he gets carried away. See: Miller, Lamar.- Fantasy football advice thread
QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Sep 11, 2013 -> 10:53 AM) I don't know about much better, they did have Owens, who Bowe is trying to serve as on this team (and has similar size). You little Matthew Berry fan.- 2013 TV Thread
QUOTE (juddling @ Sep 10, 2013 -> 03:34 PM) SOA back tonight.....as excited as I am at it's return....I must admit I can barely remember how last season ended....... The first episode was solid - nothing spectacular. The school shooting is a very smart way to talk about guns.- 2013-2014 NHL thread
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 10, 2013 -> 02:59 PM) I'm the opposite. Because baseball season was pretty much done when hockey ended, I have been waiting for hockey and high school sports forever.- Fantasy football advice thread
QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Sep 11, 2013 -> 08:50 AM) It's a close call for sure, I like both guys. I hear you on recalibrating - trying not to play a panic card after one week with guys, but also a good time to look to buy low when applicable. I think Bowe will still get a ton of targets in an Andy Reid offense and will be good in PPR. That was my thought-process on Wilson. It might have seemed like a panic move to get rid of Bowe, but it was purely trying to upgrade. Wilson went 10 picks before an overdrafted Mathews and Gronk went 10 picks before Bowe. I like that type of upgrade.- Fantasy football advice thread
QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Sep 11, 2013 -> 08:44 AM) PPR league where I have Graham and Witten (Flex), picked up Julius Thomas off waivers hoping to flip him. Didn't take long, traded Thomas and Garcon for Roddy White. Have Fitzgerald and Bowe at WR, so figure I essentially upgraded Garcon for White with a TE I'd likely never use. Wait a few weeks for his ankle to recover, and I'll have Fitzgerald and a seemingly healthy White instead of Fitzgerald and Bowe/Garcon. Though, I still like Bowe as possible WR2/Flex option and glad I moved Garcon instead of Bowe. I have grown to like Garcon over Bowe, but who the hell knows. After week 1 I'm re-calibrating. - Job Hunt Thread
