  1. This team is better than a user controlled team in NHL 13 on rookie mode.
  2. QUOTE (HeGone33 @ Mar 1, 2013 -> 11:55 AM) Bring back Goff and put him with Abbatocola, them two together is non stop entertainment. They've done a few shows together in the past. Goff's getting paid in ATL.
  3. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Mar 1, 2013 -> 11:42 AM) Because the competition is CJH. By default, you have to listen to B and B. And yea, at some point they decided to run with "We are smarter than all of you, and if you do not agree then you are to be insulted repeatedly." But then Mike from Milwaukee calls and all is forgiven.
  4. Yes, clearly this town needs more Mike North.
  5. QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Mar 1, 2013 -> 09:46 AM) Mac's prevalent discussions of athletes' male genitalia is also very creepy... McNeil and Spiegel are terrible, in my opinion. I'd love for Law Holmes to get a real shot at that slot without them shoving Dan Hampton on air with him which made it completely unlistenable.
  6. QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Mar 1, 2013 -> 09:30 AM) The best talk show host in Chicago is Lawrence Holmes in my opinion. Bernstein is annoying but it a good way where you want to listen to him. Boers is a putz and just an idiot who is hard pressed to make coherent thoughts and usually ends up parroting Bernstein. My ideal show would Bernstein and Holmes. I love Waddle & Silvy, but CJH was garbage. Jurko brings nothing to the table except in football knowledge. Too often jokes around instead of giving real thoughts. I didn't hate Harry, but he really did not bring much. Carmen is good, but was not a good fit with those two. If I am ESPN, I bring in Lawrence Holmes for the afternoon drive. I actually think he and Carmen could be a good team. I love Law Holmes, he's great. He's a bit of a kiss-ass, though, which would definitely work for ESPN. They'd have a real crowd pleaser if they brought him in to work with Carmen or Silvy in an 11-2 or 3 slot.
  7. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Mar 1, 2013 -> 09:22 AM) exactly what I told my buddy. He was terrible. So, ESPN has to make a move to try and get this slot again, but IMO going syndicated would probably be the worst possible thing. I would boot Jurko, and bring Silvy and Waddle in to reunite with Carmen and let those guys go. It has to be a local flavor and Waddle and Silvy have been doing well for themselves They might as well go syndicate. You aren't going to beat Boers and Bernstein. They used to be a younger demographic, but now they've been on the air for like 15 years. So the younger demographic (see 18-30 - I include my new age in the younger demographic heh) likes them, while the older demographic (see 31-45) fell in love with them at that early age and keeps listening. There's no chance in this town to beat B&B in the 2-6 time slot. It's not happening. You go syndicate there if you're ESPN and focus on improving the morning show (I'm sorry, Waddle & Silvy is pretty stale).
  8. Crawford injured again, but gets the win with 6 saves last night prior to leaving.
  9. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Mar 1, 2013 -> 08:44 AM) Harry Teinowitz fired from ESPN Long overdue.
  10. I'd say it seems like no one has a f***ing clue when that kid is playing again.
  11. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Feb 27, 2013 -> 02:32 PM) Both Te'o and another potential draft prospect at the combine are saying that teams are asking about whether those players are gay in their combine interviews. If it's being asked, it would appear to directly violate NFL-imposed discrimination rules and possibly state laws in the handful of states where it's actually not legal to fire someone for being gay. The NFLPA has issued a statement and the league seems to be saying they'll investigate. You frequent Queerty?

    QUOTE (RockRaines @ Feb 27, 2013 -> 12:21 PM) Shameless I believe was last summer and New Girl was the last couple of months. So it could be true. I'll try to find out actually. LOL @ "I'll try to find out". Detective Google says-
  13. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Feb 27, 2013 -> 12:55 PM) @SarahSpain: #Bears LT J'Marcus Webb arrested Sunday for possession of controlled substance, cannabis & paraphernalia. BUILD AROUND THIS GUY
  14. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Feb 27, 2013 -> 12:34 PM) No, but both of those teams had a very short window to work within that caused the panic and short sightedness. The Cavs and Magic both made the Finals before they started throwing money at every name possible, and then when their stars started getting closer to free agency, the wheels came off and the Hedo Turkoglus and Antawn Jamisons and Big Baby trades started flowing in. The Bulls need to be creative, but they have quite a while to be creative and appease Derrick, he is signed and isnt going anywhere any time soon. But goddamnit, it is time for the front office to show some balls and stop being afraid of the luxury tax. I am glad that Derrick is unhappy with status quo. Sadly, the Bulls are paying the luxury tax this year, you just wouldn't know it given the players they are paying it to (see Rip Hamilton!)
  15. The 49ers are the best run franchise in the NFL right now... they went 11-4-1 last year and made the Superbowl. They now have 5 draft selections in the top 93 picks. The Chiefs, on the other hand, went 2-14 and will pick just twice in the top 95.
  16. Damn fantasy baseball for making threads like this exist years after a player's last relevant campaign.
  17. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Feb 27, 2013 -> 11:22 AM) two 2rd round picks does seem a little much Hm. That says a lot about how much Reid believes in Smith.
  18. QUOTE (Tex @ Feb 26, 2013 -> 07:20 PM) Makes me think we had been lucky with Dollar Bill Wirt$. shut up

    I do think the threesome with mother and daughter was some f***ed up, hilarious s***.
  20. This is probably the best hockey card of all-time. Followed closely by this, because I still believe Hrudey's stick was inside a butt. My buddy and I used to laugh at that card all day long.
  21. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Feb 27, 2013 -> 09:41 AM) Understandable. 90s hockey!
  22. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Feb 27, 2013 -> 09:01 AM) Oh I absolutely adore my Sullivan jersey as well. He's one of my favorite Hawks of all time. I've never been a big fan of owning all-star jerseys for any team or player. I guess I just figure if I'm going to buy another jersey, get one that the team wears. I've never been proud to show off that player X made the all-star team. I was 16 years old when I got that jersey. I was obsessed with Tony Amonte.
  23. Wait. People still use Firefox?
  24. I can't believe people still care about this Manti deal.
