QUOTE (Jake @ Jan 15, 2013 -> 11:00 AM) This Kashi cereal (the one with 13g of protein, I'm such a bro for buying this) tastes like...nothing. I tend to think lots of cereals taste like nothing, but this one changes my outlook forever. Bring on the Splenda and fruits. Cereal sucks. I make overnight oats. 150g greek yogurt scoop protein powder (double chocolate) one packet strawberries & cream oatmeal frozen strawberries splash of almond milk That's part of the food I prepare for work the next day, and by the am the berries have defrosted (adding more liquid to the group) and you mix it all up and it's delicious. Awesome stats, too.

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jan 15, 2013 -> 11:31 AM) Just act surprised when you watch it for a 2nd time with her. With exploring the ondemand greatness of directv, there's plenty to keep me occupied.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jan 15, 2013 -> 10:45 AM) 7 years and lucking into a superstar with the #1 pick. They were making the playoffs well before Derrick Rose was drafted.

QUOTE (BigEdWalsh @ Jan 14, 2013 -> 10:47 PM) Bulls' shooting pct. that night was SICK. That was a rough season.

QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jan 14, 2013 -> 09:07 PM) DEAR LORD TAJ GIBSON. THAT WAS NASTY Yeah, his dunk last night was a thing of beauty.

48-20 end half. Bulls.

The Bulls gave up five points in the second quarter.

QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Jan 14, 2013 -> 04:29 PM) Colin Kaepernick was awesome Saturday night, but you need to be good for a few years before you can put his name next to the top guys. It will be interesting to see how Wilson, Kaepernick and RG3 play next year once the league adjusts to them. IF he plays.

QUOTE (Jake @ Jan 14, 2013 -> 07:53 AM) Anyone else here drink almond milk? I just got on to it and like how it fits my diet. I go with an unsweetened vanilla, which is 40 cals/8 oz. That's half the caloric content of skim milk, though I sacrifice the protein content. Allows me to have cereal, protein shakes, etc without adding as many cals. It is about twice the price of milk, though -- unless you drink organic milk, in which case good God is that s*** expensive. You must be drinking Almond Breeze at 40 cals. The unsweetened vanilla Silk PureAlmond Milk tastes better and comes in at 30 cals/8 oz. I don't drink regular milk anyway - usually almond, sometimes soy.

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Jan 14, 2013 -> 04:14 PM) Yeah, to each his own. I would think Mary would be the worst by far, followed closely by Matthew. But yeah, I can see where you're coming from. Bates could have manned up and he wouldn't be where he's at right now. Matthew is a pimp.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jan 14, 2013 -> 02:56 PM) Both of the times I went through Vegas I caught a cover band playing at a place on the strip, outdoors, right next to Jimmy Buffett's margaritaville. After Google-mapping it, the place was called "Carnival Court". This is such a Grandpa post.

QUOTE (SOXOBAMA @ Jan 14, 2013 -> 03:01 PM) Who will be the top 5 QB's for the next 3 years? NOT Kaepernick.

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Jan 14, 2013 -> 12:40 PM) Steve why the hate for Bates? He was the best character for the first season and a half. Everyone has their own opinions. I would personally say he's my least favorite character, and the wife agrees. The dude's is just a big b****.

QUOTE (2nd_city_saint787 @ Jan 14, 2013 -> 01:19 PM) http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/2013/1/13/3872...general-manager Thoughts on Jerry Angelo potentially getting the Jets GM job? Since JA won't do anything with them, maybe the Bears can get some Jets first rounders.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jan 14, 2013 -> 01:28 PM) I agree. A 34-year old Konerko is probably better than a 44-year old Frank Thomas who has been out of baseball for 4 years. Konerko is 36 and will be 37 on opening day. Oh God, he's going to suck so much ass this year.

QUOTE (Doc Edwards Shot @ Jan 14, 2013 -> 01:09 PM) Maybe for the regular season, but definitely not for the playoffs. As I recall, Frank was a big choker in the postseason. He never did much. In fact, I remember him not even getting a friggin' hit in all 3 games of the 2000 ALDS against the Mariners. Not even one bloop single - NADA. Needless to say, that helped the Mariners with A-Rod, Griffey Jr., and Edgar Martinez sweep the series. I'll take Konerko for the playoffs, thank you. That grand slam he hit in game 2 of the World Series was arguably the single greatest moment in the entire history of this franchise. Maybe even better than winning game 4 to end the series and jump around on the field as champions. http://www.baseball-reference.com/players/t/thomafr04.shtml Frank Thomas had a career .870 OPS in the playoffs, albeit he didn't have many appearances. There's not enough statistics to prove you wrong, but I'll just go ahead and say your remembering one disappointing series does not define a player. Konerko had a career .854 postseason OPS. Of course, one played in a World Series, which is why you "misremember".
-
Frank Thomas is always the answer. He was a f***ing monster and in his prime I'd take him over a lot better hitters than Paul Konerko.
-
We'll owe around 2k like every year. Time to s*** out a f*** trophy already.

This is great news.

QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jan 14, 2013 -> 11:50 AM) You cant talk about Old Testament and New Testament as if they are the same. Old Testament is supposed to be the actual historical story. As if you were watching a true historical documentary starting from the beginning of the universe. The Bible sux.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jan 14, 2013 -> 11:44 AM) I barely watched any of the playoffs this weekend for that reason. Lots of basketball this weekend. Oh man, this weekend had some of the best games I've ever seen.
