QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Apr 29, 2012 -> 09:41 AM) Wow, parks and rec has dropped off so much. This last episode (the debate) was awful. It certainly wasn't awful, but this whole election storyline is getting really, really old.

This is the most crushed I've been as a sports fan. Does anyone think Rose will ever be the same?

The Five Year Engagement was hilarious.

Poor Derrick Rose.

QUOTE (Jenksy Cat @ Apr 28, 2012 -> 04:48 PM) Such a long wait for a real report feels like "how do we spin this so it doesn't sound as bad" This. Though, the longer we wait, the worse the news will be.

f*** this season.

They're doing their best to ruin this idiot. He's playing like s*** in AAA... CALL HIM UP!

QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Apr 27, 2012 -> 03:49 PM) McClellin will wear jersey #99. I was banking on 93.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Apr 27, 2012 -> 01:01 PM) very sad. Hawk is going to lose it tonite, this is fact This.

QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Apr 27, 2012 -> 03:41 PM) Why is our number 1 pick discussing special teams. If our 1st round draft pick is playing special teams, then the terrorists have already won. If our 1st round pick plays special teams at all I will find Emery's home on Thanksgiving and s*** on his turkey.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 27, 2012 -> 01:09 PM) Racist. I just LOL'd. Well done.

QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Apr 27, 2012 -> 02:10 PM) Dejuan Blair had no knees or something crazy. (yeah just checked he has no acl in either knee). I prefer Taj. Why are people debating this? DeJuan Blair has no ACL's in either knee. He's also a 6'7" power forward in the NBA with NO F*CKING ACL'S!! Taj would be a monster on any other team as a starter!

QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Apr 27, 2012 -> 02:18 PM) I dont think Peppers technically plays either L or R de. Basically Peppers can line up at either side depending on which tackle he thinks he can beat more. You don't THINK? The Bears played 16 games last year and every game it was pointed out that Peppers lines up where he damn well pleases. Stop posting such obvious and overly repeated information.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 26, 2012 -> 03:38 PM) The sad thing is that their OPS's aren't that far apart this year. The big thing is Inge is a way better fielder than Morel, and being a third catcher could really free up some chances for Flowers to do things like DH and play 1B for some extra ABs. He hasn't played catcher since 2008.

Albert Pujols broke his 0-for-21 slump Thursday afternoon, singling in a loss to the Rays. Pujols was thrown out trying to extend that single into a double, however, so there's not much cause for celebration. The $250 million man is batting just .224/.280/.316 with no home runs and only four RBI in 19 games this season, and appears to be headed for a career-worst campaign. The high-priced Angels are in last place in the American League West with a 6-13 record.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 26, 2012 -> 03:27 PM) Now that would be an interesting pick up for us. Bring him in as the back up 3B, send Escobar to AAA, and if Morel flounders into the summer, let Inge have the job. at very least the guy would be a really nice utility guy at a lot of positions, plus a third catcher, which would let Robin use Flowers more without worrying about having a back up for AJ. Over the past two seasons Brandon Inge has made Brent Morel look like Alex Rodriguez.

QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Apr 26, 2012 -> 02:50 PM) Throughout the books, it is strongly suggested that Renly was at least bi-sexual The show has more than covered his sexual orientation. That doesn't make "came from behind" any more tolerable.

QUOTE (MEANS @ Apr 26, 2012 -> 12:53 PM) @ Steve, why do your avatar/signature photos look so sick? I illegally downloaded the filter that EA uses for their cover athletes.

Great topic, because clearly no one here can look at stats and realize that Viciedo hasn't played well and has a strike zone the size of Alabama.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 25, 2012 -> 10:04 AM) FWIW, I saw a lot of Buehrle in Milone last night. Worked all corners of the plate, up and down, and wasn't really predictable in which pitch he would throw in a certain situation. Topped out around 88/89mph and had a great change and a serviceable curve. He is a guy who is going to give us fits for a long time. I thought the exact same thing while watching.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 26, 2012 -> 12:15 PM) After seeing the value of RGIII in this draft, versus what it has taken to move up for a top QB in the past, things have really changed when it comes to how a draft pick is valued. Exactly, the chances of a holdout have gone to zero because "f*** you, this is what you get".

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 26, 2012 -> 12:10 PM) Be 100% honest with me. Do you really think the Knicks will be able to lose to the Bobcats tonight? Supposedly they will want to lose to the Bobcats because everyone seems to think the Bulls would be fun to play.
-
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 26, 2012 -> 11:51 AM) Then there's no reason to trade him. As noted, he may hold out, but missing the season is not going to be an option for him, and the franchise tag is still more money in 1 season than he's made his entire career. Yeah, but if you can get a 3rd rounder this year for Forte, draft a guy who can be your back 1b at that spot, and let some other team pay Forte, you do it.
