  1. Bill Walton was on the radio today saying Popovich deserved Coach of the Year. Get the f*** out. THIBS LED THE BULLS T THE BEST RECORD IN THE NBA WITH THE MVP OUT. A cavalcade of injuries couldn't stop the Bulls this year. DA BULLS BEST RECORD BRING HOME THE HARDWARE!!!!!
  2. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Apr 24, 2012 -> 04:08 PM) Iron Man > Thor > The Incredible Hulk > Iron Man 2 > Captain America That's how I'd rank them. I quite enjoyed the Edward Norton Hulk movie. I liked Captain America.
  3. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Apr 24, 2012 -> 04:09 PM) Re-painting end zones is a b****, better get that professionally done the first time. I do not believe he said the backyard IS a football field.
  4. QUOTE (CanOfCorn @ Apr 24, 2012 -> 04:33 PM) Alright...I just looked at Crawford's statistics since 2000. I concede. he isn't getting better. In fact, he hasn't improved at all. Yikes. I concede. HOORAY! Since he seems somewhat "new" to the Hawks, it's easy to mistake Crawford as "young". The same thing happens with Alexei Ramirez.
  5. QUOTE (greg775 @ Apr 24, 2012 -> 02:52 PM)
  6. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 24, 2012 -> 01:11 PM) A 500ish season is silly? I sure don't think so. No, that's an improvement over expectations, but your reasoning is whack given we have so few "kids" on the roster and any "development" you are seeing is at the cost of another year for our good players who are all old. This post seems negative, though, and I don't mean to be, I just think the rationale that we're developing "kids" that don't exist is silly.
  7. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 24, 2012 -> 08:24 AM) Not to mention living up to that contract with a new team has to be a big stress. Interesting writeup about the misconception that Albert Pujols is a "patient hitter" and that's why his 10-year deal wasn't ridiculous. Albert Pujols Never Walks
  8. QUOTE (chw42 @ Apr 24, 2012 -> 03:11 PM) Bismack Biyombo speaks English? http://espn.go.com/espn/grantland/story/_/...79686/your-deal cover =/= book
  9. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Apr 24, 2012 -> 03:26 PM) Technically we do have a developmental goalie "waiting in the wings" Yeah, from the Skille trade, Salak. Lord only knows how good he'll be, as he was nothing special in Rockford this season.
  10. I agree. Pulling weeds, edging, etc - the activities past mowing - each week after mowing makes it take 10-15 minutes longer each week, but then you avoid the awful clean-up Sundays that take forever.
  11. The White Sox' +18 run differential is 3rd in the AL and 5th in the Majors.
  12. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Apr 24, 2012 -> 03:10 PM) I'm totally confused here. If his salary is $17.5 million and the buyout is for $4 million, then you're looking at a total cost of $21.5 million. The halfway point value would be $10.75 million, which is $2 million less than you were quoting. Well, I'd imagine that's because you don't cut the buyout number in half simply because you had JFP for half a season.
  13. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Apr 24, 2012 -> 03:00 PM) I believe it's the fourth. Jeez, normally those freaks at Wikipedia jump on it right away.
  14. No matter how you spin it, the third ever case of Mad Cow's Disease in the USA is a big f***ing deal.
  15. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Apr 24, 2012 -> 02:36 PM) And we will, thanks for judging. That was meant to be more tongue in cheek and jabby, but it really came off just rude, so I apologize.
  16. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Apr 24, 2012 -> 01:59 PM) I put some down the last two weekends. Hopefully that solved the problem. I'm also having issues with clover. I didn't realize the weed spray took care of that. Might have to do a 2nd application. If you already hit them, make sure clover was listed and pictured on the front. Some don't do clover. However, if the one you used did state it took care of clover, be patient. It will be gone.
  17. QUOTE (mmmmmbeeer @ Apr 24, 2012 -> 07:07 AM) Do you think Jake would give a considerable discount to the Sox considering how little return they've gotten on the trade to obtain him? I actually do think that Jake would take a discount to make up for the checks he cashed when he wasn't producing. I don't know why, but I believe when I hear him say how disappointed he's been in his performance. I'm sure I'm wrong, but I think he would take a discount and stay here.
  18. QUOTE (greg775 @ Apr 22, 2012 -> 03:03 PM) The question is: What will Hawk nickname him and I could see him use Humburglar. Yuk. Ha, the Humburglar would be awesome.
  19. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Apr 21, 2012 -> 06:33 PM) Tepid lukewaRm wAter omg just saw this and i practically s*** myself. Any chance to make fun of HoT FiRe needs to be realized. This is delicious.
  20. QUOTE (greg775 @ Apr 24, 2012 -> 02:25 PM) Look. I'm commenting when I feel like it. There has been post after post ripping Ozzie that I ignore. Once in a while I am going to respond until I get banned. You look at all the anti Ozzie posts in threads and I have rarely commented on them until they finally piss me off, so don't tell me to get the f*** over it. Thank you. Ozzie was negatively impacting the team and not trying to win. There is empirical evidence of this. Why would you support him? Listen, he was fun. Ozzie being Ozzie was a blast, and he was a HUGE reason the team won a World Series. Things came to pass, and he turned on your team and he turned on you, Greg. Ozzie gave up on this team so he could get out of his contract and get involved with all the fun that was a new franchise in Miami. He wasted your time, he wasted my time, and he made the White Sox look like a bunch of idiots. Yes, it wasn't him alone. Dunn and Rios falling apart last year and Greg Walker also get their blame. However, Ozzie did not manage to win, and you should at least be willing to admit this, and also willing to move on and enjoy what so far has been a best-case scenario for the White Sox in 2012. Your inability to recognize this makes you the Ozzie Guillen board troll, and also makes me wonder why you don't just root for the Marlins.
  21. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 23, 2012 -> 02:38 PM) Actually, with him being back on the DL, I kinda doubt he's able to be moved for much this summer. Where you getting your info? He missed like 2 games and hit a jack in his return.
  22. Keep shoveling it in, folks. 3rd ever Mad Cow case discovered in USA (California)
  23. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 24, 2012 -> 02:14 PM) Luongo apparently just said he would waive his no trade if the team asked him... Doesn't he have like 10 years left? It's more fun to laugh at his collapses in the playoffs than to root for him, I imagine.
  24. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Apr 24, 2012 -> 01:48 PM) LOL, dont let your emotions skew your vision. Yeah, I'd already admitted as much if you'd kept reading.
