  1. Bears agreed to terms with No. 45 overall pick WR Alshon Jeffery on a four-year contract. The first member of the 2012 draft class is signed quickly, thanks in large part to the new rookie wage scale. Last year's No. 45 pick, Rahim Moore, signed a four-year, $4.448 million contract with a $1.73 million signing bonus. Jeffery will vie for the starting job opposite Brandon Marshall this summer, though he may need a year of development before making a fantasy impact.

    2012 TV Thread

QUOTE (Brian @ May 2, 2012 -> 09:57 AM) Andy is the worst character on the show to me. His movie descriptions and 5,000 Candles in the Wind are his high points. Stupidity as funny gets old to me. You're on drugs.
  3. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 2, 2012 -> 09:45 AM) Just noting that Rose's defense is missed too. Oh, I know. It was a good post. I was just channeling Stacey and then getting depressed all at once. I think I need to have a kid or something, because this injury is effecting my happiness too much. Of course, I don't want to ruin my wife's rocking body, so screw kids.
  4. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 2, 2012 -> 09:32 AM) Jrue Holliday shot 37.5% when Rose was on the court and 70.6% when Rose wasn't on the court in the first 2 games. STOP IT DID YOU NOT GET THE MEMO THIS KID IS SPECIAL f***
  5. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ May 1, 2012 -> 06:15 PM) Tom Hardy is fine damn he so fine

    2012 Book Thread

QUOTE (EvilJester99 @ May 2, 2012 -> 12:55 AM) Just bought the GOT books.. got hooked from the show. Now have to read them. Looking forward to them. I just finished the first book. It's actually pretty incredible how well the show is done. I learned a bit more about the characters, but really the show covered it all.
  7. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 2, 2012 -> 09:06 AM) Like a said, a large portion of that was the Bulls laying down on defense. How many run outs did they give up last night? Tighten the screws back to where this team is normally and those numbers look a whole lot different. The 59% comment was in response to Badger posting that they wouldn't shoot better than 50% in the game.
  8. The only good thing to come out of these playoffs is J4L coming back to the NBA Thread like a guy who needs his fix and immediately ODing. I love it. This season is a waste. Badger, I like you, but you have to stop with the know-it-all comments. Everytime you post you act like you're the only guy with a clue in the room. I post I'm depressed, and you reply "Steve, You really worried Holiday wont miss a shot and the 76ers will shoot over 50% from the field? Because law of averages suggests otherwise." First, that was completely irrelevant to my point, second, Jrue only shot 74%, but the Sixers shot 59%! What do we take from this? I guess it's that I hate everything right now and every post will anger me.
  9. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 1, 2012 -> 09:17 PM) I think you're watching a team that had its heart ripped out. Pushed a big first half on guile and emotion but that faded and now depression takes over. That and the other team is shooting like 70% which gets the f*** old.
  10. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ May 1, 2012 -> 08:04 PM) Steve, You really worried Holiday wont miss a shot and the 76ers will shoot over 50% from the field? Because law of averages suggests otherwise. Um. The Bulls will win this series. I however don't believe Derrick Rose will play again in 2012. Hence depressed. Joakim guns are blazing!!!!!!!
  11. Noah just scored on a Rose runner. It was tight.
  12. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ May 1, 2012 -> 12:26 PM) Guaranteed airball on the first shot... Over the backboard.
  13. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 1, 2012 -> 12:08 PM) I must admit, I'm completely oblivious about how to use Twitter because most of this time since it became truly popular, I was in China and it's blocked unless you use a VPN or proxy and there was really nobody interesting worth following until recently. I will be interested in seeing if DeLuca, Telander or Phil Rogers reply with a personal comment. In the past, Phil Rogers, the couple of times I sent him something, always responded promptly and informatively. In this case, they're probably afraid to say anything for public consumption on this situation, except to say it's "unfortunate" and blah blah blah. I would imagine the fact that you have no followers, and follow hardly anyone (that might be changing), will make it seem very single-use and probably those tweets won't be worth a reply to this mini celebs.
  14. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ May 1, 2012 -> 10:41 AM) NSFW: lord have mercy
  15. Thanks to the plagues of 700 years ago, 10% of Europeans are resistant to HIV. The world, it interests.
  16. The "knee injury" last night appears to be a hamstring injury.
  17. QUOTE (greg775 @ Apr 30, 2012 -> 05:54 PM) Glad to see Walker getting the credit he deserves. Everything I've read about him would indicate the guy works his ass off. Maybe the Braves players actually listen. Or maybe the hitting coach doesn't matter as much as the talent (ding ding). You have become a character unrivaled on Soxtalk. It's quite commendable.
  18. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 1, 2012 -> 09:55 AM) You gotta remember though that for every good series, you also get a stinker. You get a down Padres team or a Pirates team or something like that. Or a s***ty Cubs team. Every. Year.
  19. Interleague would be much better if they focused that extra 3 games on teams that don't come to US Cellular often enough. I can handle less Cubs to see matchups against San Francisco, Washington, Miami, Arizona, etc.
  20. QUOTE (iamshack @ May 1, 2012 -> 08:50 AM) I think he is being Caufield and imagining the Rangers had they not traded AGon to San Diego 7 years ago or whatever... Well, that's a realistic scenario.
