QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Mar 13, 2012 -> 03:36 PM) I want me some Pau. But I don't see how Watson & Boozer plus parts work but I'd endorse it. Pau is a stud. http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=7e7elwt boom done
-
Rose Rip/Brewer Deng Gasol Noah That'd be incrediBULL.
-
To elaborate, Asik, Watson, Boozer in a deal for Pau is being thrown around.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Mar 13, 2012 -> 03:24 PM) really hard to believe that Marshall's trade value was 2 third round picks if it weren't for the teams trying to clear Manningcap. It's LeBronathon all over again.

QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Mar 13, 2012 -> 03:16 PM) Mario Williams will visit with Buffalo first. Tonight. Bah.

HELL YES NOW SUPER MARIO

NFL Network's Jason LaCanfora suggests the Bears have a good chance to be the first team free agent DE Mario Williams visits, and "it might be the only team." The Bears are expected to "go hard" after Williams, similar to the approach than landed them Julius Peppers two years ago. LaCanfora confirms the Bears will also pursue Vincent Jackson, and it could end up as an "either/or type of situation." The Jaguars also "want in on" the Williams sweepstakes. Mar 13 - 2:33 PM

QUOTE (KG#1 @ Mar 13, 2012 -> 01:50 PM) Just read that Chris Carpenter has bulging disc . . . I know the Sox probably won't trade Gavin until the deadline, if at all - But there is another possible destination. St. Louis Cardinals eye 'Plan B' Let's trade them Mark Buehrle for Colby Rasmus.
-
I'd imagine the Bears plan on signing Orton? Clearly backup QB needs to be addressed. I really don't see them getting Jax and Mario, that really can't happen cap wise as stated in the previous post. Here's what I'd like to see, if the Bears added this, they'd be good to go. Super Mario Other Mario (Manningham) Kyle Orton Draft R1-R7 Eric Winston (released by Texans) and oh what the hell throw in Dallas Clark.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Mar 13, 2012 -> 01:38 PM) The sad thing is, for most people, it's not the high-quality, big steaks that get them in trouble, it's the fast food. Yes, and that's the worst part about this... the straight up steak is at 13%, while the processed garbage is 29%.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Mar 13, 2012 -> 01:02 PM) Even if they were to amnesty Bosh, they cannot get far enough under the cap to even offer a respectable deal to Howard. If they drop Bosh completely, let eveyrone go, and fail to offer team options to people like Chalmers, they still have about $55 million in commitments for next year. They'd need the Magic to be willing to help them out. It still pains me that Kahn so mindlessly took Michael f***ing Beasley off the Heat to enable this entire situation.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Mar 13, 2012 -> 12:50 PM) It would be theoretically impossible for the Heat to sign howard as a free agent. They could possibly pull off a sign and trade for him built around everyone on their roster who isn't the big 3. That basically means the Magic would have to accept Miller, Chalmers, Haslam, Battier, and Anthony in exchange for him. I don't know why the Magic would do that. Apparently in that situation they would amnesty Bosh.

Life is so s***ty sometimes. A friend of mine found out seriously last week that he had cancer in his brain, and this morning he's already dead.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Mar 13, 2012 -> 11:28 AM) @kbergcbs Despite Orlando's efforts to appease Dwight Howard by acquiring Monta Ellis, GSW owner Joe Lacob has no interest in the deal, sources say. @kbergcbs Lacob won't send Ellis to Orlando and help the Magic keep Howard. Lacob wants to preserve chances, however slim, of getting Howard himself. Yeah, and Orlando has nothing to trade. They are out of options.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Mar 13, 2012 -> 10:58 AM) making Dwight Angry. He just keeps ripping Diesel off!

The alternative is no little league season, right? Kids benefit. No harm no foul.
-
QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Mar 13, 2012 -> 10:11 AM) Now if he goes to a team like the Heat, than that is blasphemy. I don't see how that would be possible, but if it did happen no amount of D-Rose would keep me from dropping the NBA.
-
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Mar 13, 2012 -> 10:10 AM) Part of the problem in all these spots is why they wind up not having good parts around him...and it seems to me, the answer invariably is that they keep trading for guys that Howard wants. The Cavs did the same thing...they didn't make moves (i.e. trading Szczerbiak's expiring deal for a better player) because Lebron didn't want them to, then they made other deals (Shaq) because Lebron wanted them to, and it kept them from really growing the team they needed. No one has made more aggressive and borderline insane trades the last few years than the Magic, and I'll bet those trades haven't happened over Howard's objections. Yeah, the inmate is already running the asylum, which is why they keep winding up with 3 point shooters to clear room for Dwight down low so he can get his numbers. It's a joke.
-
QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Mar 13, 2012 -> 10:07 AM) I have this feeling the Magic will make this crazy desperate trade, deal all of their assets, flop in the playoffs, and Howard will still leave them high and dry. They only have one asset, and he's the one they want to keep. The best they'll do is like Stephen Jackson, and that's not getting them past the Bulls or Heat.

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Mar 13, 2012 -> 10:02 AM) The one concern I have in all of these reports is that there are always these hidden teams that jump in. Plus, Emery is supposedly keeping a sealed lid on Halas Hall which makes me wonder how real these leaks are. I'm assuming they are coming from reps of Williams/Jackson vs. Bears insiders. Yeah, in this day and age there's no stopping it. I'd imagine reps of every player, when fielding other calls, simply say (like in this case), "you are nowhere near the offers we've received from the Bucs and Bears, are you going to let this premiere wide receiver slip to someone else?"
-
QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Mar 13, 2012 -> 10:01 AM) The players are going to crap on it all they want. The reality is the NBA is a star driven league and without stars you won't win. If they keep Howard and 2 years from now win a championship who cares. We've already proven that Howard does not mean a championship. He's had plenty of time and plenty of support. He's going to pair up with another superstar in another location, and there's no stopping that. Sadly, that star won't be Rose, for whatever zany reasoning he has, but it will be someone. Either way, the Magic making it known he can decide the fate of their coach and General Manager makes the organization look unprofessional. Jesus, a guy with barely a high school education hiring and firing your GM is the dumbest thing I've ever heard proposed.

Yahoo Sports' Jason Cole reports it's down to the Bears and Bucs for Jackson. If the Bears signed Jackson and Mario somehow, and then drafted really well for the O-Line, some secondary help, and some lineback help, they'd be looking great.
