QUOTE (DirtySox @ Mar 9, 2012 -> 02:17 PM) I hate seeing AJP. People who say this truly forget the black holes we had at catcher in the 15 years leading up to AJ. -

QUOTE (Cali @ Mar 9, 2012 -> 02:08 PM) Don't much care for the WGN boxscore graphic this season The location is moronic. Enough with catering to the select few sports fans who haven't upgraded to HD televisions. However, today's broadcast, though widescreen, isn't HD, so hopefully the location is moved. -
I cannot experss how much the experience increases in The Show when you add all your custom sounds. Player walk-up music, Thunderstruck to start the game, Nancy Faust's "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" playing randomly throughout the game and after losses. Let's Go-Go White Sox after the game ends. I added CSN music for between innings. After a "k" the stadium plays hawk saying "HE GAWN". It's a perfect experience. Someone over at OS uploaded a ton of random team specific stuff too. I'm excited for that first game against Texas, and to give up a bomb, to hear the Natural music in the background. Anyway, can't wait to play more tonight. They made Sale a beast in that game.

QUOTE (JPN366 @ Mar 8, 2012 -> 11:58 PM) "Lullaby" is f***ing impossible to read. "Rant" is somehow worse.

More like "run away".

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Mar 9, 2012 -> 07:40 AM) Starting to think this team just can't stay healthy enough to make it. Yeah, D-Rose, CJ, Rip, Deng, and we all know Boozer is playing with fire. We'll see... a loss to the hapless Magic in March coming off an 8-game win streak isn't something to get too worked up over. You won't see another 1st quarter like last night for a long time.

QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Mar 9, 2012 -> 02:11 AM) Is it weird that I watched that and the first thing that went through my head was "Brad Miller is still in the league? And plays for the TWolves?" I had that revelation last week watching a T-Wolves game. Seriously, the exact same reaction.

That game was exhausting. It sucks to lose it.

QUOTE (DukeNukeEm @ Mar 8, 2012 -> 08:16 PM) Rose doesnt feel pressure Rose IS pressure.

I have a rager right now. That was amazing.

I'm proud to say I am not involved in the latest back and forth!! WOOO!!! In other news... Bulls on TNT tonight. Love it.

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Mar 8, 2012 -> 03:02 PM) When you're playing for the last shot, you usually sacrifice a little bit in order for the opponent not to get a chance to tie or win. The shot was fine. They could have worked it around and found a lay up with 10 seconds left, and then might have lost. A fadeaway one step inside the 3-point line isn't exactly fine. I understand you don't want the opponent to have any time left, but that's one of the worst shots in basketball.

QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ Mar 8, 2012 -> 02:31 PM) Can we stop including Boozer in any trade talk? NOBODY WANTS HIM, WE'RE STUCK WITH HIM AND ANY POSSIBLE TRADE WILL PROBABLY INCLUDE ANY COMBINATION OF DENG, NOAH, GIBSON, WATSON OR ASIK AND PICKS. /rant No one wants him, no, but as a salary match with valuable draft picks he could. /NOT TYPING LOUDLY
-
Dearest Atlanta, how do you feel about Carlos Boozer and a boatload of draft picks?! Smith under Thibbs would either be a homerun or a big time strikeout. Oh, and yes, I know a-he won't get traded and b-if he did the Bulls would never pull it off.
-
Dwight's going to wind up staying in Orlando or with the Lakers.
-
"I think everybody wants to be that guy to take the last shot," Howard said. LOL, Dwight isn't even that on a team whose next best players are Jason Richardson and Jameer Nelson. The reason? BECAUSE DWIGHT CAN'T SHOOT. Seriously, not interested in that guy.

QUOTE (Brian @ Mar 8, 2012 -> 09:54 AM) Anybody go thru phases like this... My little cousin was watching one of those live action shows on Disney and I have to admit, some are kinda funny. Everytime Im flipping around and see one on Disney or Nick, I find myself watching them. I like iCarly and Good Luck, Charlie. Don't judge me. You, sir, are a creep.

QUOTE (daa84 @ Mar 8, 2012 -> 09:30 AM) its absolutely impossible to tell anything about it without and examination, or at least a more detailed explanation - the red circle helps, but is it on the dorsum (top) or plantar surface (bottom) of the foot? is there swelling/heat/redness? are you able to still walk on it? was there some sort of trauma to it? I'm certainly not an orthopod or physical therapist, but likely its just inflammation from overuse, and most experts are going to tell you rest/Ice/NSAIDs. Not sure how your shoes fit, but a pair that fits well will probably help. Its possible theres a fracture but given the fact that the pain is only with workout, probably unlikely. sorry i can't help more - ptatc will probably be able to help as this is his area of expertise I appreciate the feedback. I hate not working out and playing ball, but rest time it is.

MLB 12 is nuts. It's so incredible. Stephen Strasburg is a beast in that game. They actually made Chris Sale really legit, too, which I did not expect. Man, the Sox suck. I'll either have to do a draft or get trade crazy. Right now I'm just enjoying the RTTS, which is vastly improved. The skills they have you run through actually teach you ball recognition, and the points feedback is much better and doesn't crush you for good at bats just because you didn't get a hit. 11/10.

QUOTE (JPN366 @ Mar 7, 2012 -> 11:49 PM) FYI...you can get "Fight Club" on the Amazon Kindle store for 25 cents right now. I went through a Palahniuk phase awhile back. His best one, in my opinion, is "Choke" which they butchered into an awful movie. "Survivor" was pretty good. I'm kind of tired of his work, but I do have his latest book on my Nook ("Damned"). His books just keep getting weirder and weirder, though.

QUOTE (GoodAsGould @ Mar 8, 2012 -> 06:39 AM) I think all time is kind of dumb since majority of people would have never seen at least half the people on their list and if they have it would just be on espn classics which isn't enough to judge a person either. Plus, Bill Simmons already did it better than anyone can with his Basketball Pyramid. Everyone should read that damned Book of Basketball. I've read it twice, so fun. Level 1 96. Tom Chambers 95. Jo Jo White 94. Jack Twyman 93. Kevin Johnson 92. Bob Lanier 91. Dwight Howard 90. Chris Paul 89. Shawn Kemp 88. Gail Goodrich 87. Connie Hawkins 86. Arvydas Sabonis 85. Robert Horry 84. Obviously, the book goes into great detail about every player. Again, sof***inggood.

One disturbing trend I've noticed is the increase in Derrick Rose isolation plays to end quarters and games. The Bulls are at their best when they move the ball in these situations. Derrick has hit some ridiculous shots as time expires the last few games. That shot last night was awesome. I still can't believe it went in... however, most of the 24 seconds he spent waiting for the clock to wind down, I was hoping something would develop. When Delfino pinched in to help Jennings on Rose, Deng was unforgivably wide-open. Yes, Rose hit it. Yes, it was awesome, but man, when you have 24 seconds, that should not be the shot you take. Anyway, just a rant. Just a COMPLAINT about Derrick Rose. Back to our regularly scheduled drool fest.

QUOTE (Felix @ Mar 7, 2012 -> 11:42 PM) I didn't post it because of anything that happened tonight (or anything that the Bulls have ever done). You shouldn't presume things, especially since I wasn't even replying to a comment that was about the Bulls game. Jesus christ, defensive much? It was posted because it's an interesting article on an interesting topic, and because the ridiculous mindset that LeBron is an awful person because he doesn't take the last shot for his team in every possible situation (which chw42 alluded to). It seemed pretty relevant to that. Bah, I deleted that post almost immediately when I realized it had nothing to do with Rose. Like, seriously, it was up for less than 15 seconds. I'm sorry that it wasn't quick enough. My apologies, and that was an excellent article.
