  1. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Mar 2, 2012 -> 03:22 PM) lol. That fool fell apart when he got traded. It's pathetic. Man the f*** up and earn your millions, p****. +80
  2. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Mar 2, 2012 -> 03:18 PM) Lamar Odom to the D-League? Wow, never figured Kris would be the best of the basketball-playing Kardashians. He seriously gave up because he wanted to be in LA.
  3. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 2, 2012 -> 03:03 PM) If that were the case, he might be examining you. I bet he'd examine my butt. edit: ewwwwwwwwwwwww
  4. QUOTE (sunofgold @ Mar 2, 2012 -> 01:59 PM) And Danks is better than McCarthy. I'm not so sure about that. edit: yes, of course Danks has given us many many innings the last year and has been far and away the better value since the trade so don't bother
  5. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Mar 2, 2012 -> 02:54 PM) (You realize you just said that to the geologist and I'm having to bite my tongue to avoid a rant...right?) I'd have to be dead or blind to not know you are a geologist.
  6. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Mar 2, 2012 -> 02:42 PM) Braun was pretty self-righteous after the win and did a great "I'm not saying, I'm just saying" routine where he roundly impugned the collector's integrity and then finished with a statement that he wasn't accusing anyone of anything. I took it as a smug asshole who just got off on a technicality and is trying to rebuild his image by tearing down the collector's. ie - kick the little guy. Ugh, Braun is trash. Very rich, happy trash.
  7. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 2, 2012 -> 02:45 PM) The worse seeded teams gets the first two games of the series at home, and then the better team gets the last three at their place. That is stupid.
  8. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Mar 2, 2012 -> 02:20 PM) They're going to have some drought problems over the next 50 years. Yeah, but they'll also have great coastal property sometime soon, too!
  9. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Mar 2, 2012 -> 02:05 PM) Adam Schefter ‏ @AdamSchefter NFL security determined between 22 and 27 defensive players on the Saints, as well as at least one asst. coach, maintained a bounty program. Investigation reviewed 18.000 documents totaling more than 50,000 pages. Commissioner Goodell will determine the discipline. NFL determined that former Saints DC Gregg Williams administered the program with knowledge of other defensive coaches. Discipline for the Saints could include fines, suspensions and forfeiture of draft choices. NFL investigation of Saints began in 2010 when allegations were made that Saints targeted QBs such as Brett Favre and Kurt Warner. I'm not surprised that this was going on, but I hope multiple people are fired or suspended long time.
  10. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Mar 2, 2012 -> 02:37 PM) He wasn't exactly stellar in Carolina last year, was he? That was with Cam Newton throwing to him... something tells me Jay Cutler might have passed a bit more at the goal line. It was a fail. A big, fat fail. Olsen had plenty of speed to be a nice target in a 4-wide set if Martz wanted to have a TE that blocked. He certainly would have been a better WR this year than Roy f***ing Williams.
  11. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Mar 2, 2012 -> 12:15 PM) Like the one they drafted in the 1st round 5 years ago? Martz. F*ck Martz.
  12. Adam Dunn's interviews lately are just freaking weird. "I'm not doing anything different than I've done before" - as he talks about how he's doing things differently. "Can a guy who wasn't injured win Comeback Player of the Year? If they can I'll win it. I don't really want to win it but whatever I guess I'll win it." What a screwy dude.
  13. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Mar 2, 2012 -> 11:14 AM) You just said the R word. poopy poop eat my poop
  14. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 1, 2012 -> 06:24 PM) That is way funnier with Deng as your avy. heh.
  15. QUOTE (Brian @ Mar 2, 2012 -> 11:25 AM) I got an A in Bowling at SIU. I also got an A in Bowling - at NIU. f***ing college.
  16. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Mar 2, 2012 -> 10:36 AM) That would be Joel Schumacher. He drew all of his inspiration from bondage videos and the 50's show with West and Burton. And I'm not kidding about the bondage videos, I took a visual literacy class in college where we went over the costumes and the videos that inspired them. That sounds like a class that paid real dividends. f***ing college.
  17. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Mar 2, 2012 -> 10:49 AM) You're underestimating the lack of talent at 3B today. It's borderline SS shallow. You've got Longoria, Zimmerman, Beltre. Those are the elite. Then you've got guys like Sandoval (long as his weight is under control), Youk, a declining Pay-rod and Aramis. Brett Lawrie should be a good one. But the position sucks. If Morel can hit .275-.280, 15 HR, .310 OBP - something along those lines - with + defense at third, you're doing well. You might have actually posted something not completely retarded today. That's a big "if", but also a good point.
  18. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Mar 2, 2012 -> 11:03 AM) I have this strange feeling the Bears will wind up with Laurent Robinson. That sounds about right, because it would be just the right amount of disappointing.
  19. QUOTE (fathom @ Mar 2, 2012 -> 10:23 AM) The thing is, Morel's glove can be good enough where he doesn't have to display massive power in order to be a useful player. If he can hit .270 with 15 homers, he'll be very useful. Not as a starter, given he doesn't take many walks that's a pretty big hole and below replacement level.
  20. QUOTE (DBAHO @ Mar 2, 2012 -> 01:48 AM) Dumping Ellis's contract The Warriors would never have to dump Monta. They could absolutely get a quality return for him if they decided they were over him. Everything I've heard regarding the Warriors and Magic involves the Warriors trying to decide if they want to "rent a Dwight" in the hopes that he stays (which he wouldn't, obviously).
  21. QUOTE (Brian @ Mar 1, 2012 -> 08:59 PM) Larry David stopped after 12 pumps Oh man, that episode was classic.
  22. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Mar 1, 2012 -> 07:17 PM) On first viewing, DK was clearly better. That was a legitimate edge of seat thriller. You really were convinced you didn't know who would win. At about 1:30 my wife and I looked at each other and both of us were leaning towards the TV in anticipation of how the ending would go. For the 30 viewings that happens when good movies get on cable, Returns works better. Returns???

    2012 TV Thread

Oh wow. Just watched the first episode of Life's Too Short. The scene with Liam Neeson had me crying.
  24. QUOTE (CanOfCorn @ Mar 1, 2012 -> 04:16 PM) Funny, because I have one of those at home. Straight from a computer at the Cook County Clerk's office. And I was born at Northwestern Memorial Hospital... ...or was I? You f***ing Kenyan.
  25. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Mar 1, 2012 -> 04:14 PM) Noah being healthy is obviously better than him not being healthy. But he's still Joakim Noah. He's a valuable player with limitations. Against Miami, they're going to have to score the ball. Rose and a healthy Noah is not enough. Two of Deng, Hamilton and *gulp* Boozer are going to have to step up consistently if they're going to have any chance against Miami's defense. No one is saying that only Rose and Noah would need to score to beat the Heat. I was merely pointing out that if the series started today, the Bulls would be in a better spot because Noah is street balling.
