  1. QUOTE (DBAHO @ Feb 8, 2012 -> 01:45 AM) Well I'm on the Lin Bandwagon, and I'm riding him like friggin' Secretariat. EDIT: The big test for Lin will be how that offense functions when Melo is back. D'Antoni has finally found a PG who can adequately play the pick and roll, a must in his offense. Lin and Stoudemire could actually have a nice 2 man game going, but if Melo is going to jabstep and hog the ball for 10-15 seconds 20+ times a night, well that ain't gonna be good for anyone. Hence why Galinarri would be a much better fit in that offense IMO. Prior to his injury, Carmelo was playing a much better team game. This has been a nightmare season, but I'm sure he'll be on board with Linsanity.
  2. QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Feb 7, 2012 -> 02:13 PM) Can we have a Bears thread in addition to an NFL thread? It's tough for people who aren't Bears fans to weed through 75% of posts related to them, especially once the season gets closer to beginning This is a White Sox message board. If you want to talk NFL without reading Bears posts, I'm sure there's a Seahawks message board.
  3. QUOTE (SexiAlexei @ Feb 7, 2012 -> 01:11 PM) What would you use the 1st to draft? The best OL I could find.
  4. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Feb 7, 2012 -> 04:53 PM) Stop it. Iverson was an excellent ball-handler (though he got away with carrying a lot) and one of the quickest players the game has ever seen. I'm not gonna pretend to know a lot about Lin. I watched some of the game last night. He certainly doesn't posses the quickness or ball-handling ability that is required to play the point full-time. He'll definitely need assistance (screens, etc) in getting free consistently. And there's no way in hell he can guard anybody. It's nice little Rudy-like story right now. It's not gonna last. Dude? I was referring to the fact that the Answer was totally right hand dependant.
  5. QUOTE (iamshack @ Feb 7, 2012 -> 06:42 PM) Well, I do know you love cats... Love is an understatement.
  6. QUOTE (iamshack @ Feb 7, 2012 -> 02:49 PM) What do you call that Nook tablet of yours? LOL, well, that wasn't a screen shot from MY device, just an example of the keyboard. But "girrlkitty" would be a pretty sweet name.
  7. QUOTE (Felix @ Feb 7, 2012 -> 04:03 PM) He can't dribble with his left hand and his outside shot is Rubioish. From my experience watching basketball players play basketball, you need to be able to dribble with both hands to be a real NBA player (especially at point). He's had two very nice games, but once teams start adjusting and forcing him to go left, he's going to regress hard. Allen Iverson much?
  8. Heh, installed an alternate keyboard (Swiftkey tablet) on the Nook Tablet. It's pretty much customized exactly how I want now. Nice keyboard for tablet since I'm a thumb typist.
  9. QUOTE (joeynach @ Feb 7, 2012 -> 10:22 AM) What if Chris Sale or Zach Stewart, who take MB's spot in the rotation emerge as absolute studs, posting 5x better numbers than MB. STRETCH!
  10. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Feb 7, 2012 -> 12:15 PM) A bounceback from the best decade of baseball the Sox have seen in a century or so? I realize its fun with the hyperbole and all, but let's deal in reality here. What he needs to bounce back from is 2-3 years of disappointing teams and a few bad trades. The decade as a whole has been pretty successful. Yeah, it's easy to say "aside from 2005, what have they done?" but 2005 happened. That's pretty huge.
  11. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Feb 7, 2012 -> 11:58 AM) I would be willing to give up the 2nd round pick but not the 1st. Yeah, the 1st is just way too important. I think a return of the two 2nd rounders they gave up for Marshall and a Johnny Knox, if healthy, would be fair. However, the Dolphins probably think they can compete soon, and they need to, so I'm sure it's not a match. Just get Jay a legitimate threat, PLEASE.
  12. Anyone who complains about media bias needs to take a hike. Certain networks have certain positions. Get the f*** over it. So f***ing what if CNN uses a different term between segments talking about what people post on Twitter. That network is mindless drivel 99% of the time.
  13. I think it's time to pass on Cespedes. The liklihood he lives up to his deal is quite low.
  14. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Feb 7, 2012 -> 11:38 AM) Willing to give up the 19th pick for him? Fun Cutler/Marshall reunion article
  15. Now maybe they can hire Brandon Marshall.
  16. The lynchmob wins again.
  17. QUOTE (Felix @ Feb 7, 2012 -> 07:20 AM) Don't worry, he'll disappear into nothingness soon enough. He's not a very good player. Actually, I disagree. I watched most of that Knicks game because the Bulls were up by 30 points at halftime. Lin does have some nice moves at the net, and he has solid court vision. This would be like completely dismissing CJ Watson because you'd never heard of that D-Leaguer prior to dropping 40 for the Warriors. I suggest watching Lin play a couple of times before declaring he's not very good.
  18. QUOTE (Felix @ Feb 6, 2012 -> 10:49 PM) http://twitpic.com/8gp27i Ladies and gentlemen, your 2011-12 Washington Wizards When you gotta go you gotta go.
  19. The Bulls are raping and D-Rose has hardly played due to two BS foul calls.
  20. Excellent start for Los Bulls.
  21. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Feb 6, 2012 -> 12:27 PM) This offseason has been as boring as the 2011 White Sox. Close, but nothing is as boring as the 2011 White Sox. God, that team was frustrating.
  22. QUOTE (kapkomet @ Feb 5, 2012 -> 06:53 PM) False. You know why? They get the card that makes it not cost that much direct from the manufacturer. Would we like to keep making things up that aren't here for the purposes of villifying someone? But I like how you made a big point of $6k to $1m for me. I'm not saying it's not a problem, but in a lot of cases there's a lot of ways around "screwing people over" the way you all want to make it sound like. Easy, killer.
  23. QUOTE (sunofgold @ Feb 6, 2012 -> 12:28 PM) Orlando Magic should be able to beat the Clippers tonight, right? Why is everybody else telling me the Clippers are going to win tonight. Am I missing something? Dwight Howard distraction factor? Did you hear the Clippers got Chris Paul?
