2011-12 White Sox off season catch all thread
Steve9347 replied to southsider2k5's topic in Pale Hose Talk
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Feb 6, 2012 -> 12:27 PM) This offseason has been as boring as the 2011 White Sox. Close, but nothing is as boring as the 2011 White Sox. God, that team was frustrating. -
QUOTE (kapkomet @ Feb 5, 2012 -> 06:53 PM) False. You know why? They get the card that makes it not cost that much direct from the manufacturer. Would we like to keep making things up that aren't here for the purposes of villifying someone? But I like how you made a big point of $6k to $1m for me. I'm not saying it's not a problem, but in a lot of cases there's a lot of ways around "screwing people over" the way you all want to make it sound like. Easy, killer.

QUOTE (sunofgold @ Feb 6, 2012 -> 12:28 PM) Orlando Magic should be able to beat the Clippers tonight, right? Why is everybody else telling me the Clippers are going to win tonight. Am I missing something? Dwight Howard distraction factor? Did you hear the Clippers got Chris Paul?

QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Feb 5, 2012 -> 10:02 PM) I think there's a reason no one participated. Because people are stupid. -

Oh cry me a river, Keith Bogans.

Good game. The highlight of the evening was the first Will Arnett Hulu commercial talking about his 3,000 dollar suit. I got a boner.

Key and Peele is HILARIOUS

Rooted the Nook Tablet for side-loading of applications. It. Is. Awesome.

Decent cash in the end for Edwin. I'd have taken the $30 million, though, if that report is accurate.

QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Feb 3, 2012 -> 01:59 PM) Is it only season 1 on Netflix? I may have missed an episode or two in season 2. There are 10 episodes on Netflix. I imagine they are season 1.

QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Feb 3, 2012 -> 11:58 AM) And my statement was "sometimes I wonder" not exactly extremely critical. I flipped. You forgive. We love.

QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Feb 3, 2012 -> 11:41 AM) You completely missed the point, and I dont really feel like explaining it because obviously youre too intelligent to understand my moronic statements. I get the point. Is he the one to lead us to a championship or is he the stepping stone to the next coach who takes us all the way. Listen, Doug Collins was going to win it all with that Bulls team had he stayed around, because of the talent. Thibs has talent. If they add another superstar and he's still around, they'll win it with him. If they add another superstar and coax Phil out of retirement or hire the next guy, I don't really feel that dude would get all the credit. Heck, even VDN is winning with loads of talent this year!
-
QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Feb 3, 2012 -> 11:19 AM) I like Thibs, but I sometimes wonder if hes more Doug Collins than Phil Jackson. This statement is moronic. No one is Phil Jackson. He was a therapist, not a coach. Thibs is Thibs. I'd liken him more to Scott Skiles with a set rotation and plan than anyone else. He's his own beast.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 3, 2012 -> 10:42 AM) This would be the downside of having your story told over and over again as a story of redemption. People are all to happy to watch you fall. I don't think anyone is happy. These are demons he will battle his entire life. The fact he's not dead or homeless is itself impressive. He could have been one of the all-time greats if he'd stayed clean. Hopefully he will not miss much time the coming season due to this... his body is deteriorating quickly due to the damage he'd caused, but man, those first couple years in Texas were something. When I visited Dallas a few years ago, I attended a game in Arlington, and their playing "The Natural" music when homers are hit is awesome. Hamilton hit two bombs to the upper deck, and that music playing after was something. One aspect of his game that was underrated was his outfield range. That dude galloped like a horse in the outfield and got to EVERYTHING. The Rangers won that game (against the Astros) 16-8. Anyway, I doubt too many are rooting against Hamilton. It is, however, news.

QUOTE (Big Daddy Kool @ Feb 3, 2012 -> 10:19 AM) You're 1st mistake was reading Bleacher Report Always. Bleacher Report is moronic blather from nerds taking a break from their WoW. -
QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Feb 3, 2012 -> 12:18 AM) I made a Hans Zimmer playlist to listen to while a workout. It's incredible. If anyone has any suggestions, pleas let me know. I've got music from Inception, The Dark Knight, Pirates of the Caribbean, Lion King, Cool Runnings, The DaVinci Code and Gladiator. lame

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Feb 2, 2012 -> 08:44 PM) I hate when I can't watch on Wednesday night and have to avoid the TV thread for 24 hours. Yeah, it did suck that Sarah got voted kicked off too. Maybe the whole "ex" thing kept them from finding another partner. My issue was that I saw Mandi's boobs the entire time before what Vinny did. What was the difference? Good to see Wes straight up get his ass kicked. His partner stepped up and he got smoked. His ego needed that. I too was a day behind. Wes is a little b****. He has absolutely zero social gameplay. If he'd just show up and act normal for once he could get a decent group of the non-veterans together and take them on, instead he instantly pisses everyone off. As for what Vinny did, just because a woman dresses like a slut, that doesn't mean you can rip her top off.

QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Feb 2, 2012 -> 05:35 PM) Yeah Steve some of us have been on the Workaholics train from the beginning. About time you got on. I had no idea it was this funny. I'm excited to catch up!

QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Feb 2, 2012 -> 08:38 PM) They pushed the lead despite the line up. Results dont always make it the best choice. Oh Lord, Coach Badge has been going a little whack. In Thibs I trust.
-
QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Feb 2, 2012 -> 01:15 PM) Kings GM responds: It was his team on their home ice so he could just be full of s***, but it sounds like a legit excuse. I hate when people paid to write don't understand the difference between insure and ensure.
