QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Dec 19, 2011 -> 06:08 PM) For some reason I REALLY want to play the new Cabela's hunting game, but I'm not sure where I can rent it. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Dec 21, 2011 -> 12:45 AM) Steam is having their massive sale, and I got suckered in to buying Sid Meier's Railroads! I love those "tycoon" type games, and this was marked down to $5. Can't complain about that. I have decided that you have strange interests. I bet you are a fun drunk.

John Doe was rather high on my list. WHAT'S IN THE BOX!????????

QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ Dec 21, 2011 -> 07:43 AM) No we don't! NFL season is over for me, I'm watching the Bulls/Lakers and the other NBA games that day... This x infinity. -
I really love this team. Boozer does indeed seem lighter on his feet, Deng is really stepping up into a legit #2 role, and Rip Hamilton creates something fierce. Please, please stay healthy.

Bulls are so deep.

QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ Dec 20, 2011 -> 09:23 AM) Especially since Hanie gets a 70, shows that that list is BS, he is 58 tops. The 70 is pretty accurate. The speed he has moves it up a bit, but the dude has no arm and no accuracy. -
QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Dec 20, 2011 -> 09:02 AM) Was it a matter of outbidding someone else? Or a waiver order? I thought the Bulls really had no chance because the Clips were way in front of them in the waiver order And im pretty sure Rip cleared waivers, so there was no bid, he just signed a FA contract You're getting the two points mixed up. Rip cleared, yes, but Chauncey did not. I was curious how much the winning bid on Chauncey was, but it appears we didn't get a bid regardless, of which I was unaware.

QUOTE (thxfrthmmrs @ Dec 19, 2011 -> 11:46 PM) After watching the Clippers Lakers tonight, does anyone feel that Billups would be a better fit at SG for the Bulls than Hamilton if the Bulls had a shot at him? To start off, he is a very efficient player and scorer, no matter what his FG% suggests because he only takes smart shots. He is still an ace three point shooter, Rip is not. I believe he shot 39% from the arc since joining Detroit. Second, he can handle a lot better than Rip, and can create for himself. He can sometimes play the point and let Derrick play off guard and go off. Also, he is big and strong for a PG, at this stage of his career, he is better at checking 2s than 1s. If the Bulls' biggest roadblock is Miami, then Billups can check Wade better than Rip can. Lastly, Billups was the Final MVP and Mr. Big Shot, if it comes down to the last shot, we would have another option other than Derrick to go to. Overall, I just think Billups compliment Derrick very well in this starting lineup. If the Bulls only had a shot at Big Shot. This is interesting. That game last night was crazy. One thing I learned was that Chauncey still has something left in the tank. That steal - run the court - pass off the backboard to Blake was nuts. How crazy is it that Blake Griffin went from having Mo Williams and Eric Bledsoe tossing him the ball to f***ing Chauncey Billups and Chris Paul? CP3 also had a great lob to DeAndre Jordan for an alley oop dunk. The Clippers are must-see TV this year. And yeah, I think Chauncey can shoot better, run better, and obviously pass much better than Rip. I wonder what the Bulls would have had to bid (perhaps the $5 million they bid on Rip?).

QUOTE (fathom @ Dec 19, 2011 -> 07:43 PM) Some rumors that Dwight Howard gets traded to Lakers tomorrow It was actually the Nets in said rumor, but I doubt it happens.

QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Dec 19, 2011 -> 07:52 PM) Let's not get crazy here. At most, I nodded gratefully that they finally did something of note. I JUST finished the finale. The wife and I agree, "we wasted 3 months for 12 good seconds of a season". What a f***ing waste, yet now season 7 might be pretty good. That was seriously the ONLY way they could have ended this season and made me want to come back. F*ck.

One thing I really am enjoying so far (don't have enough games under my belt to see how repetitive he gets) is the addition of Steve Kerr to the commentary. It's very natural, and he adds great insight to players. They did a great job keeping none of the player-specific commentary from talking about the previous year's team. That plus the white jerseys for everyone really helps with player movement.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Dec 19, 2011 -> 04:12 PM) Dead-on. The Bears are actually very similar to the White Sox, as they've failed spectacularly at adapting to the obvious changes in the modern NFL. Running games are almost moot these days. They're still very important. But it's not 1992 anymore. The game is more than ever geared towards the pass. Teams are winning with explosive aerial attacks as their strength, with the running game as more of a supplement. The run no longer sets up the pass. It's the other way around now. The Bears keep going into every season with thrift-shop style offenses in hopes that they run into some luck and that the defense/ST will do what they've done during most of Lovie's tenure. I really have a hard time condemning a team that made it to the NFC Championship Game last year and was the second hottest team in football prior to their franchise QB getting injured this year. Their fault lies with having zero depth. They lost 3 starts on the offensive line, the most productive rb in the league, and Jay Cutler in a span of weeks. That'd ruin any team. -
QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Dec 19, 2011 -> 12:30 PM) I haven't seen the last episode, but everything is so damn cliche so far. Oh look, the racist Irishmen, the take-no-s*** slave post civil-war, the dumb native american that can't understand what he's up against, and the immoral and corrupt white man, etc. They're cliches for a reason, yo. The above pretty much define the era.

QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Dec 19, 2011 -> 11:17 AM) I'd heard good things about Hell On Wheels. Maybe I won't waste my time then. No one's talking about it, but Hell On Wheels is really awesome, man. Give it a shot; you won't be disappointed.

QUOTE (bmags @ Dec 18, 2011 -> 08:02 PM) I just bought NBA 2k12, i'll let you all know soon how it goes. I couldn't wait until X-Mas (stupidly asked for it thinking the wait wouldn't be too long), so I redbox'd that s*** over the weekend and started dominating dudes online with the Bulls. It took me awhile to figure out how to hop-step. Hold L2 and use d-pad right or left. Once I figured that out, the world was at D-Rose's mercy. The game is fantastic. They somehow made it even better. I imagine December 26th - end of time I will be playing this.

Homeland - I'm not sure how I feel about it. Obviously, we're going to have some sort of cliffhanger/way to make a season 2 make sense without having to bring in a whole new cast. I feel like nothing happened, though. Honestly, I was hoping Brody would blow everyone up, because that's what 24 would do, haha. However, it was brilliantly acted (Damien Lewis had better win an Emmy, but then again, so should Claire Danes). I enjoyed the moment right before the episode ended with her realizing Brody new the child, and thus further confirming her suspicion. Her character is so painful to watch, as she's right about everything yet no one believes her (classic conspiracy theory storyline played perfectly). In the end, I feel like there was a ton of buildup for an episode in which not really that much happened. I'm intrigued to see Brody burrow his way deeper into American politics, but also find it comically unbelievable that he'd be on a cell phone talking to a guy who managed to avoid any tips about him coming out for 7 years at one point. I enjoyed it, though; I thought the season the whole was exceptional, yet I feel the finale left me wondering what I'd just spent an hour and a half watching.

QUOTE (Brian @ Dec 19, 2011 -> 04:55 AM) -Survivor does it again. Pulls me in with a decent season and than awards the money to a less deserving player. Not a fan but Coach ran the show pretty much the way Boston Rob did last year. He should of won IMO. I'm officially done with Survivor. Personally, I think Redemption Island has ruined the drama of voting someone out, and everyone is terrified to make the big move. Seriously, Coach not winning makes watching (and playing) pointless.

QUOTE (Felix @ Dec 18, 2011 -> 02:17 AM) I don't think the Wolves will be good this year by any means, but they're at least moving in the right direction. Rubio is more suited for the NBA game than the euro game, and he's got plenty of athletes to take advantage of. The Wolves are interesting. They keep acquiring talent, but I still don't see all the pieces fitting together to make any sort of contender. Keeping Love this upcoming offseason will be huge, as he's pretty awesome. They need to, at some point, combine some of these assets for a big-time player if/when one hits the market, and pray said dude wants to extend in Minnesota (no small feat for any team not in LA/Miami, apparently).

Judging from that second trailer, it certainly seems Nolan is borrowing quite a bit from the 'Knightfall' saga... especially with Bruce Wayne looking quite ill and the inmates breaking out of Arkham.

The two-part Sunny finale was hilarious.

QUOTE (bmags @ Dec 16, 2011 -> 08:38 AM) If we were debating Rips 2 for 10 v. Richardsons 4 for 25 deal I wouldn't be arguing. I already waxed poetic on my annoyance with the Bulls not offering on Richardson.
