Deal: Bucks get Beno, Stephen Jackson 9 & 19. Bobcats get pick 7 & Maggette. Kings get 10 & John Salmons. -
QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jun 23, 2011 -> 03:20 PM) Flyers trade Jeff Carter to CBJ, Mike Richards to LA, and likely Versteeg to FLA. How big of a contract do they think they need to give Brzygalov? Jeff Carter is a massive pickup for the BJs. Richards to LA is cool. Versteeg is going to play for every team.

WojYahooNBA Adrian Wojnarowski Milwaukee has a three-way deal with Charlotte and Sacramento, sources say. -
Ah, sounds like Riggleman was pissed, gave Rizzo an ultimatum to pick up his option by the end of today's game, and walked. Rizzo is a tool.
-
QUOTE (chw42 @ Jun 23, 2011 -> 03:09 PM) Jim Riggleman just resigned as Nats manager. I hope everything is ok. That team is rolling. Rizzo on MLB Network right now I guess, they are playing it live on B&B on 670.

QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Jun 23, 2011 -> 03:11 PM) Are you guys serious? I thought the Departed was one of the better films I've seen in the past few years. I loved it. I loved it, but it was no marvel of modern film-making. It was absolutely PERFECT for what it was though.
-
QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jun 23, 2011 -> 02:19 PM) The Departed was based off of him. But he also dies in the end of the Departed. The character was MODELED after him. The movie had nothing to do with the man's life. It was actually mostly based on a Chinese film entitled "Infernal Affairs", if memory serves me right.

QUOTE (chw42 @ Jun 23, 2011 -> 02:24 PM) Now that I think about, what I just posted made no sense. If a trade like that were to happen, the Bulls would definitely get Ellis. Odom goes to GSW to play the 3. The problem is that the Bulls were reluctant to move Noah for Carmello before, why change that stance for Monta Ellis? You can pretty much discount any rumor involving the Bulls. They just don't make trades for stars. -
QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jun 23, 2011 -> 01:56 PM) Hawks have a brutal 9 game road trip to start the 2nd half of the season. That f***ing blows.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jun 23, 2011 -> 12:45 PM) Where the hell are all these rumors? I googled it and found jack s***. It's all bulls***.
-
QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Jun 23, 2011 -> 09:57 AM) Ugh, why? The dialogue was about as clunky and predictable as I could imagine, and the characters were, for the most part, thoroughly uninteresting. You are certainly in the minority. X-Men: First Class is the 2nd best comic book movie I've ever seen.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 23, 2011 -> 12:20 PM) Wouldn't you have done so if you were a non-contending team's GM? For Michael Beasley? No, f*** that guy. -

Bill Simmons has fun with the NBA Trade Machine Also, his podcast with Chad Ford from yesterday was pretty awesome. They dissect the Draft and trade possibilities like no other. -
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 23, 2011 -> 11:54 AM) There were whispers of missed practices last year. whispers, rumors, tall tales, the bible, bulls***

QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Jun 23, 2011 -> 11:32 AM) Here, you also have two warriors, two bears who battle. It's going to happen. However, these bears are NOT men. Please don't sue me, Disney.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jun 23, 2011 -> 11:06 AM) If the team was in 1st place by 10 games, Pale Hose Talk would be dead silent. You're on drugs. This place hops when the Sox are good.

QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Jun 23, 2011 -> 11:47 AM) Best part of that movie was Frank's 20-second cameo. Haha. RICKY DAVIS

QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Jun 23, 2011 -> 11:49 AM) I didn't really enjoy the first season. I'm sure I've mentioned it on here, but the awkward/embarrassing humor did more to make me feel uncomfortable than it did to make me laugh. I've never been a big fan of that type of comedy. It's good in smaller doses (early episodes of The Office), but it's rough when it's the entire basis of a series. I'm going to give that a shot, mainly due to Elijah Wood. He seems to pick really various and unique roles (in order to avoid being typecast, as I've heard), but almost always chooses good projects. I love me some Louie, and I'll check out Wilfred or whatever it's called.
-
QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Jun 23, 2011 -> 10:10 AM) He has HOF talent if he can keep his head on straight. Probably a real good thing. Hate to see someone end up like Daryl Strawberry with addiction issues. The only evidence of Kaner drinking has been fairly light (ok, he may have skipped on a cabbie bill, but he was 19). He's a young kid with oodles of cash who can bang any chick he pleases, and he goes to bars. It hasn't effected him on the ice yet, and these rumors are all unsubstantiated.

QUOTE (Felix @ Jun 22, 2011 -> 10:23 PM) I'm all for ditching Beasley. Between an offensive game that isn't all that good, a defense that is abysmal and a flaky personality, I'd love to trade him and move on. Not sure that Kahn sees it the same way, however. I'm still so glad Kahn jumped all over Beasley to help Miami snag an extra stud. -
QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Jun 23, 2011 -> 08:39 AM) REALLY?! This is f***ing awesome, and I don't know why it doesn't have its own thread. It is pretty awesome.

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jun 23, 2011 -> 11:12 AM) Season 2 of Louie premiers tonight. And that weird dog show starts too.
