  1. Hawk, Juan Pierre has been due for a line drive since 2004.
  2. Might as well just throw "LOCKOUT" into the thread title right now. Sad face.
  3. QUOTE (kapzk @ Jun 24, 2011 -> 04:44 PM) He must've gotten into a fight with AJ It was just reported that his hamster died.
  4. Chicago White Sox : Carlos Quentin-OF : Quentin was scratched tonight for personal reasons
  5. Justin Morneau is scheduled to undergo neck surgery next week. Morneau has been dealing with a pinched nerve in his neck for most of the season, so this news doesn't come completely out of nowhere. Still, he just can't catch a break lately. It's estimated that he will be sidelined for approximately six weeks following surgery, which places his return somewhere around mid-August.
  6. QUOTE (robinventura23 @ Jun 24, 2011 -> 04:20 PM) revised lineup - Quentin scratched: pierre morel ram pk dunn rios aj lilli - rf beckham
  7. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Jun 24, 2011 -> 03:58 PM) There are no more templates than what comes with it Actually, a simple Google search yields many templates available for free or a nominal fee that have been created by users outside the iWeb dev group.
  8. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jun 24, 2011 -> 03:39 PM) The words "I actually like this lineup" with Pierre listed as the lead-off hitter makes me wonder if you have been drinking today. banned
  9. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 24, 2011 -> 01:37 PM) Well, Ozzie is showing supreme faith in a guy (Pierre) that has a proven pedigree and you have to admire that about him. Ozzie always sticks by his vets and that's a decent trait to have.
  10. QUOTE (Stan Bahnsen @ Jun 24, 2011 -> 02:33 PM) Those are happy hour prices at the local dive, but they have 2 four-hour Happy Hours daily to accommodate the shift workers at the Coors brewery. I'd never not be drinking.
  11. QUOTE (SoxFanForever @ Jun 24, 2011 -> 02:26 PM) So now that the draft is over can we please get a real 2 guard so that Bogans is riding the pine or on another team? I'm in the OJ Mayo camp personally and wouldn't have minded dealing Omer for him. Any chance we use resources from this draft to make a trade in the coming days? I have a feeling the resolution to our 2-guard situation won't be coming for a loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong time (ie after the lockout, which I predict to be a loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong lockout).
  12. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Jun 24, 2011 -> 02:29 PM) I was thinking Ortiz was in the Mitchell Report, but didn't see him listed. I know there was something he was mentioned in a few years back that really got him fired up for the Boston media. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=4366335
  13. QUOTE (Stan Bahnsen @ Jun 24, 2011 -> 02:25 PM) This thread is just another reason why blood testing/storage needs to be a significant part of the next CBA, and the owners need to stick to their guns on this. It's a farce that MLB would have us believe that the game has been completely cleaned up by the current testing procedures/penalties. Probable reality, however, is that 90% of fans believe this hooey, or don't care, and it's only the hard-core junkies like ourselves that give a damn.... ....until the world discovers that a lot of folks are cheating again with stuff that doesn't show up in urine. HGH is only one of many substances available that fit this bill, and the science of cheating will likely always be a step ahead of the testing. Which is why the storage of the blood is such a vital aspect of any program. There will be a palpable fear on the part of the cheater that they will be exposed eventually, and made a pariah, even if they're getting away with it today. I've made my own speculations, but won't start a thread over it. I hate your sig because it makes me pine for a location that offers such greatness.
  14. QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Jun 24, 2011 -> 02:18 PM) I'll miss your honest posts, but if people here are going to constantly beg you to leave, then leave. Another board will benefit from your knowledge. That would be a shame.
  15. QUOTE (The Critic @ Jun 24, 2011 -> 12:38 PM) The best idea I saw for a name was the Winnipeg Phoenix. Yes, let's forever remind the fan-base we want to reclaim where the franchise wound up last time the NHL f***ed them.
  16. I think I got carried away. I guess Ersan Ilyasova is kinda good. I should have said "really good". The similarities between the players are endless.
  17. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jun 24, 2011 -> 02:07 PM) So everyone else's opinion is silly because it conflicts with your opinion? Kinda silly.
  18. Anyone thinking that Mirotic is going to be any good is being kinda silly. I think his best-case scenario is Ersan Ilyasova.
  19. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Jun 24, 2011 -> 01:56 PM) I would have never in a million years thought that I'd be lumped in with Greg That is so not a compliment, either.
  20. QUOTE (knightni @ Jun 24, 2011 -> 12:51 PM) I hope it's peanut butter. Peanut Butter and Smug go together like... rainbows and bigsqwert
