    QUOTE (flippedoutpunk @ May 31, 2011 -> 01:28 PM) Those are my thoughts exactly.. I thought it had its funny parts but they really overdid Chows character and made Alan out to be a completely outrageous moron which made him not as lovable as he was in the first. And Paul Giamatti's character was pointless.

    QUOTE (T R U @ May 31, 2011 -> 12:00 PM) If you went to a movie like the Hangover II with any intentions of seeing stuff outside of grotesque humor and almost a copy of the first movie, you're a moron. They didn't make a second one to create some new story, they did it because the first one made a ton of money and they could make even more this time. Some of you need to learn how to just enjoy a movie.. zomg, too many dick jokes.. if you say you didn't laugh at all the whole movie, you're a f***ing liar and you have some agenda to be some hardass wanna be critic around here. And I mean movie critic not the sweet, sweet poster. I loved the first one. There was quite the departure from the first film's good natured jokes and how over the top dirty the second one was. I never said I didn't laugh during the second movie... I laughed at the beginning, especially when Phil said "f*** you" to Andy Bernard. It, sadly, was all downhill. It took me about 40 minutes to really fall out of love with the movie. They just went all gross out dirty jokes. The first Hangover most certainly was not gross out humor all the way through.
  3. I have the file from right before the season started before they shut it down. If you want me to upload it so you can download it, im sure i can figure that out sometime in the next couple of days.
  4. QUOTE (T R U @ May 31, 2011 -> 02:27 AM) Its not absurd, and Danks isn't losing 20 games anyway so that's irrelevant.. Your best arms should be the ones you're counting on to give you the most innings and Buehrle is by far the worst arm in the rotation.. I consider the best arms to be the ones that give me the best results. To say Mark Buehrle is our worst starter completely ignores production and statistics. Buehrle has a 3.91 era and a 1.37 WHIP vs Edwin Jackson's 4.63 and 1.56 respectively, or John Danks' 5.25 and 1.51. Your post could not be more inaccurate.
  5. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ May 31, 2011 -> 09:56 AM) Are we starting to be positive and believers again? Jake pitched a good game and the bullpen gets some kudos (Crain and Thornton) I don't care what's going on throughout the season... winning in Boston is always fun.

    QUOTE (Brian @ May 31, 2011 -> 10:23 AM) Not all critics are right. Their reviews are opinion like any audience. If someone enjoyed Hangover 2 and you didnt, who cares? Everyone has different tastes. I haven't seen it yet but when I do and if I hate it, I won't fault people for liking it. I was just about to post this. However, the level of humor in both films is completely different. The first was a drunken-good time while the second was a dick-good time. If you love dick, you love Hangover Part II!!! Obviously, I'm kidding. To each his own.

    QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 31, 2011 -> 10:04 AM) Consider it $200 for sex. She actually bought me the sunglasses a few months back.
  8. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ May 31, 2011 -> 10:02 AM) mm k? si
  9. QUOTE (DBAHO @ May 31, 2011 -> 07:50 AM) Umm wow if true (from a local beat Orlando writer); This would be one of the best things that could happen to the NBA... a star staying with his team ala Kevin Durant. Hopefully more do this and the league gets away from big 3s.
  10. QUOTE (knightni @ May 31, 2011 -> 02:07 AM) FYI - This thread is the largest thread in Soxtalk history. If this thread was still with the other pre-Decision NBA thread it would have over 17,000 replies. Chicago = Bulls town.
  11. QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ May 30, 2011 -> 01:16 PM) Rip is a great starting 2-guard option IMO. Gonna hit the open shots, great passer, can handle the ball, veteran with experience (finals included) and a solid defender with length. Wow. No. No no no no no no no. One more time? NO! Drugs r bad
  12. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ May 29, 2011 -> 11:42 AM) i think if you put Rip on a contending team you would a Rip that is much closer to 2004 than to 2011. Rip is 33 going on 34. I don't think the 33 year old Rip will be much closer to the 26 year old Rip than the 32 year old Rip. Age matters more in the NBA than any other sport.
  13. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 29, 2011 -> 11:01 AM) He's a backup at this point, though. 2004 was a long time ago. He's never had great range. Doesn't offer defense or any playmaking ability. Not a good fit as a starter on this team. This. Rip Hamilton is cooked.
  14. Jake is dirty doggin' it.

    QUOTE (T R U @ May 31, 2011 -> 03:01 AM) If you didn't laugh out loud at a few of the parts of that movie, theres something wrong with you.. then again, ive seen all the lame movies you've said you liked in here, so its not all that surprising.. If you don't understand the difference between how smart "The Hangover" was versus how bad "The Hangover: Part II" was, then your opinion in movies doesn't really matter. "The Hangover" was smart and people of all ages found it hilarious, while the sequel will undoubtedly be loved by males ages 14-23 (or those who never grew up) and a disappointment to the rest of the world that needs more than constant dick jokes to enjoy a movie.

    QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ May 31, 2011 -> 12:31 AM) It's obviously A, but it's also obvious that you're B and you may have fudged the facts a bit I was B, but I did not fudge facts. She pulled the usual woman thing where she knew she was wrong and got all upset. We chose option D, bang and make up. But I'm still out my sunglasses.

    Backstory: Person A and B are married. Person A gets up to go to the gym in the morning, while person B has to tend to some home/yard work. Person A leaves first, as the couple share a tandem garage. Person A places $200 sunglasses that were in car on other car that person B will be driving. The car is white, the sunglasses are black. Person B leaves five minutes later, doesn't notice sunglasses, and leaves. They discover what had happened hours later when going out to run another erand. So, whose fault is it that the sunglasses are gone?? Person A, for placing valuable sunglasses on the car vs bringing them inside vs placing them anywhere else which would keep them out of harm's way, or Person B for being oblivious and not noticing sunglasses on back of car before getting in it to get needed supplies to complete morning work?
  18. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ May 28, 2011 -> 05:25 PM) Arbitrary time frames are arbitrary. Predictable posts are predictable.

    QUOTE (justBLAZE @ May 28, 2011 -> 06:47 AM) Really? Weren't you the one saying how you just want to hang out with those dudes and laugh your ass off? Yeah, so imagine how disappointed I am.
  20. Gordon's very nasty shiner.

    Hangover II was awful. I wanted it to end 40 minutes in... what a disappointment.
  22. I have no idea whom Adam thought was going to catch that line single by JP.
  23. QUOTE (Real @ May 27, 2011 -> 06:59 PM) DJ saying Gordon probably done for season If he's done for the season, then he's done for the career. There's no way an eye injury could be season ending and not career ending.
  24. QUOTE (bmags @ May 27, 2011 -> 03:54 PM) YES! thanks! np
