  1. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Jan 18, 2011 -> 04:48 PM) Prove it. I might very well be wrong, but I'd like to see some evidence. Pre-existing conditions are basically ANY health problem a human has prior to applying for health insurance. If you ever lose your job and go off health insurance for a given period (without paying out the ass for COBRA) then your given problems (be they from obesity, to diabetes, to ulcerative colitis, to f***ing cancer) can all be considered pre-existing conditions when applying to a future health insurance provider and thusly denied. That's why "Obamacare" is so monumental. google is your friend
  2. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Jan 18, 2011 -> 04:43 PM) "I live in a flood plain and have to buy flood insurance for my house?! Blasphemy! I shouldn't have to pay more than someone else!!" As much as there are really tough situations out there with pre-existing conditions, there's a good reason those patients have to pay more - they're medical care costs more. And I'm willing to bet more often than not those problems are self inflicted (smoking, obesity, etc). I don't think people should be left on the street, but I don't have a problem with insurance companies asking for more money from them. This post is so ridiculously incorrect it's unfathomable.
  3. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jan 18, 2011 -> 04:37 PM) I went back 1 page. 1 god damn page too many!
  4. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jan 18, 2011 -> 04:34 PM) This bit is very, very, very vague on what is in it...but it sounds like Selena Roberts has an enormous piece coming out in next week's issue of Sports Illustrated on Lance Armstrong and the juice. I posted that in squared-circle because I didn't feel like going back tons of pages for this thread. You are a better man than I.
  5. skjensen Sean Jensen NFL calls an audible: I'm told that Jim Cornelison WILL perform National Anthem at Soldier Field Sunday. Lee Dewyze will perform at halftime !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  6. QUOTE (DukeNukeEm @ Jan 18, 2011 -> 03:42 PM) http://uk.news.yahoo.com/38/20110118/tod-c...ce-045b8e8.html People are dumb.

  8. Bears on cover of SI for the jinx.
  9. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jan 18, 2011 -> 02:51 PM) Green? Comparing the Blackhawks and hockey to the Bears and football under any circumstance is like comparing Mrs. Roper to my young, sweet Miranda Cosgrove. Who turns 18 this year by the way. So I can no longer be considered a pedophile. Dude, you are creepy. She still looks exactly like she did in "School of Rock".
  10. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jan 18, 2011 -> 02:23 PM) Its crazy, to sit in like row 36 in the upper corner of the stadium is like $500. It's super tempting to sell mine for the cash, but I can't do it, I gotta be there. I'd sell it and find a raucous party at a bar downtown.
  11. QUOTE (thxfrthmmrs @ Jan 18, 2011 -> 12:23 PM) wow. already http://hangtime.blogs.nba.com/2011/01/18/h...ill-as-best-pg/ I've been saying it all season long.
  12. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Jan 17, 2011 -> 10:50 PM) I've decided to lose 60 pounds Nice! I recently re-dedicated myself to getting in shape. I was 211.7 pounds on 1/10 and weighed in at 203.0 this morning. Eat right, work out, it comes off easily the first week for sure.
  13. QUOTE (sircaffey @ Jan 17, 2011 -> 09:31 PM) Orlando is not better than the Bulls. That is hogwash. Until the Bulls look any better against the Magic, it doesn't really matter. They routinely destroy us. IF we are ever at 100% it will be interesting.
  14. According to the Green Bay Press Gazette, Greg Jennings was quoted saying "I'm more worried about who we going to be playing in the superbowl, not the Bears. We already there , in my opinion we already there, ain't no game to be played Sunday, we already there."
  15. First-career triple double for D-Rose!

    QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Jan 17, 2011 -> 10:40 AM) Any thoughts on Ricky Gervais at the Golden Globes? He won't be invited back, but it was hilarious!
  17. This week is going to be absolutely nuts.
  18. QUOTE (MuckFinnesota @ Jan 15, 2011 -> 11:15 PM) I definitely think there is a huge chance of a Seattle victory tomorrow as much as I don't want that to happen. Yuck Fou
  19. Go Bears! I've been at the bar since 8:30!
  20. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jan 15, 2011 -> 04:26 PM) Love is a pretty good player. Is he as good as the players mentiioned? He's not a top 10 player which is the statement I thought was ridiculous. He's not close to a top 10 player. He has nice glamor stats, but he doesn't effect his team's performance nearly enough to be a top 10 player. Kevin Love can score a bit and grabs boards with little competition on the roster, but he's not going to ever go out there and win you a ballgame.
  21. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jan 16, 2011 -> 06:58 AM) Bosh complaining about Omer. http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/truehoop/mia...tory?id=6024810 Chris Bosh can lick my nuts.
  22. QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Jan 15, 2011 -> 04:13 PM) This whole train of thought is getting beyond the point as well. Nit-picking about teams with Kobe or Jordan winning 38-40 games is beside the point. Those teams were still relatively competitive with them and awful supporting casts. The T-Wolves are on pace for 20.5 wins in a league where roughly half of the teams are varying degrees of awful. Plus while their roster in general stinks, they also have another pretty competent player/scorer in Michael Beasley (admittedly his D sucks too). That makes it really hard to argue that Love is a truly elite player when he's not having a huge impact on his team's wins. Even someone like Chris Bosh has been to the playoffs as the best player on his team, and no one talks about him being elite anymore. Thanks for getting back to my point, Zoom.
  23. Uh, no f***ing way. I want E-Jax this year.
  24. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jan 15, 2011 -> 11:03 AM) All I did was point out the flawed thinking that top 10 players carry their teams to at least .500 records. For the record, I don't think of Love as a top 10 NBA player, and would never be foolish enough to compare him to MJ, but saying he's not a top 10 player based on Timberwolves losses isn't exactly fair. Completely different eras, dude.
  25. QUOTE (DBAHO @ Jan 15, 2011 -> 06:21 AM) I'll re-phrase that. If you were selecting players to build a franchise around for the next 10 years, Love and Griffin would be on my list. EDIT: I also think you have to look at who's coaching both teams and the surrounding talent they have on their roster. Nah, Love wouldn't be in my top 10.
