QUOTE (kev211 @ May 15, 2010 -> 02:29 PM) I thought that too. But I think the majority of viewers probably wouldn't have remembered that without the flashback. That's never been an issue before... it was so completely against how Lost has been done for 6 seasons now that I, too, found it annoying.

I like how we've answered how Smokey came about by putting a completely unexplained core of light on the island now. One answer just leads to countless more questions. I did find the actual flashback to earlier season funny, just for the simple fact of how blazin' hot Kate was in the earlier seasons compared to now. She's too ripped.

QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ May 15, 2010 -> 11:04 AM) Rockstar really just needs to add a fast travel option if the game is that big. I agree with you about San Andreas, it was ridiculous and unnecessary that they made you drive through long stretches of desert to get to destinations and that the missions were so spread out. IMO it really took away from the game. If after you give me a mission I have to drive there fine, but I shouldn't have to drive to the person giving me the mission every single time. You guys need to check the game out more, I guess. The GTA games have always had cabs you could grab that transport you to new spots, or you can hop on the elevated trains or the subway and be transported about the city quickly. The same goes with RDR... the have an old school train (see: Back to the Future III) that will transport you from one edge to the other.

What a disaster this rotating DH NL lineup idea is...

QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ May 15, 2010 -> 09:04 AM) I've been trying to think of what amongst the multitude of things that a manager can pull would be an immediately fireable offense. I think DH'ing Omar Vizquel might be it. I really do. Welcome to my thread and my bandwagon. I am happy to have you on board. I personally thought Vizquel hitting leadoff was the fireable offense, but Ozzie even one-upped himself. -

QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ May 14, 2010 -> 04:31 PM) While not surprising, is this individual act alone a fireable offense? Are you serious? That alone is a fireable offense. Let alone he's led Vizquel off (albeit, not at DH) multiple times this year. Vizquel is toast. He should not be on a Major League roster. -

Omar Vizquel is the starting DH for the Chicago White Sox today. -
We're all concerned about Lebron here, but did we just see Big Diesel's last game? I'd think some team would pay the guy like 6 mill next year to be a big off the bench, but what if he's had it? Hellofa dominant player in his heyday.

QUOTE (Jenksy Cat @ May 13, 2010 -> 03:38 PM) So i just heard a bs teaser on ESPN1000 from Mike and Mike about "how it looks more and more like LBJ is coming to Chicago".....anyone heard of this or is it just standard bs from a radio show? standard bs

QUOTE (SoxAce @ May 13, 2010 -> 03:28 PM) For all we know, next season Rajon Rondo might be the best PG in the NBA (if he improves his shooting in the summer like he's doing out of nowhere in the playoffs now), so you really can't predict what could be. So we're only talking past accomplishments? I'll take Jordan then.
-
QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 13, 2010 -> 03:23 PM) Kobe most definitely wasn't better than Durant THIS year. But obviously Kobe >>> Durant overall. Aren't we talking for like next season? If Durant was already better than Kobe this year, why would that change next year when Durant is 22 (think about that) and Kobe is 32? (with 14 NBA seasons under his belt, including tons of postseason games)

I think back to the first two seasons. They have become completely pointless. This series is ending badly.... there's no bones about that.
-
QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ May 13, 2010 -> 03:11 PM) Well, you have number 1 right at least, so I guess that's a start. You can't come into a thread, call it "full of FAIL", and then put together a top 5 list like this though. Yeah, you're right, my accurate posts included with all these FAIL posts doesn't seem to fit.

QUOTE (SouthsideDon48 @ May 13, 2010 -> 01:31 PM) Ugh, I don't see anything hot about her. :-/ She wouldn't even make my top 100. I have decided that you are dumb. However, we all have different taste, but I think those two are f***ing gorgeous.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 13, 2010 -> 02:18 PM) CP3 still up there? I'll give him the benefit of the doubt given how injured he was this year. It's easy to forget how much of a stud someone is based on two games (see the idiotic Lebron stuff going on right now), let alone over the course of an injury-riddled season.
-
QUOTE (Palehosefan @ May 13, 2010 -> 01:54 PM) Did you watch Durant this year? He has turned himself into a very good defender and did as good of a job on Kobe as anyone has in a while. If I had to rank players at this point... 1. Lebron 2a. Durant 2b. Kobe 2c. Wade 5. Howard 6. Paul Carmelo is a great offensive player, but he has to buy into defense like his peers have. I think Rose has a chance to enter the top 5 in the next two years if he keeps improving as a player. If he gets an elite SG next season he will be a leading candidate for the MVP race automatically. My rankings 1. Lebron 2. Durant 3. Paul 4. Wade 4b. Kobe 5. Howard (too many ways to limit his effectiveness)

It's amazing how much Carlos Quentin sucks. I think Soxtalk needs a new banner. Reasons for this as follows: 1. Carlos Quentin sucks 2. Mark Buehrle has stunk since his perfect game. 3. Alexei Ramirez sucks, and that image is reversed giving him a left-handed hitter's helmet. I propose: Danks, Rios, Thornton -
