  2. QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Jun 2, 2010 -> 10:36 AM) We are not in a position to be buying, right now. Especially, for veteran talent. Kenny's a real gunslinger. He shoots from the hip. He plays for keeps.
  3. You stay classy Chris Pronger... I can only imagine where Eager told you to stick that puck. With Stealing and Taunting, Chris Pronger Leads By Example
  4. QUOTE (Controlled Chaos @ Jun 1, 2010 -> 02:43 PM) He does have a nice wrister though...if he scores that's usually how he does it. He's rarely in a shooting lane though. Eh. It was a shot that Leighton most certainly should have stopped.
  5. Kris Versteeg was the worst player on the ice last night (EDIT: For the Hawks... clearly Carcillo wins that one in a landslide) and it wasn't close. His play was inexcusable, he seemed to have no offensive awareness whatsoever. I've never seen a player make more moves just before gaining the zone as I did him last night. He single-handedly caused at least 5 offsides calls on good rushes by stuttering just prior to the blueline. Thank you for bringing him up, because I meant to get on him in here last night.
  6. QUOTE (Kalapse @ Jun 1, 2010 -> 12:25 PM) I used to love Earthworm Jim.
  7. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jun 1, 2010 -> 10:41 AM) I just lost another family member this weekend to Cancer. Extremely sorry to hear this, Rock.
  8. Al and Tipper are splitting. Gore
  9. MMA Fighter rips out heart of victim.
  10. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 1, 2010 -> 12:01 PM) And you don't think there's ever been a case of the police casually covering up for famous people who get caught breaking lots of traffic rules? I think your tin foil hat is on a little too tight. Sure, there has been, but to assume or even bring it up for any random case is pointless.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 1, 2010 -> 08:34 AM) There's an online campaign organizing to get Donald Glover, an African American, an audition for the next Spiderman. Sure. Then let's start a petition to have a white guy play Shaft. Peter Parker? He's defined by his nerdy whiteness.
  12. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 1, 2010 -> 09:18 AM) Tyreke Evans got a 100 mph speeding ticket. Have to wonder if this might have been a "wink wink" dui case. No, you really don't. There's absolutely no basis for your comment and in the exact article you link to it's stated rather clearly.
  13. Gordon Beckham went the entire month of May without an extra base hit.
  14. By definition, those weren't balks by Buehrle. West made a bad call, twice, and in turn his horrible calls got a manager and a one of a team's top starters tossed in the early goings of a game. He also made no apologies. He should really be fired and then he can focus on selling country albums.
  15. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ May 28, 2010 -> 12:53 AM) I think Hahn will be the GM very soon with Williams moving up to a president type of role. I think Kenny can't continue to deal with the high strung lifestyle, etc. What do you base this on? Nothing tells me anything other than he seems to absolutely love it.
  16. QUOTE (DBAHO @ May 28, 2010 -> 08:25 AM) I voted for wanting Ozzie out at the end of the season, and that nothing will change at the end of the season. ditto
  17. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ May 27, 2010 -> 09:32 PM) The game itself is now just one any old event of the whole week, unfortunately. I wish the game was more about the game and less about stuff surrounding it. The CFL isn't very popular. You could just watch that... I doubt they have a week of entertainment surrounding their Cup Bowl thingy.
  18. I'm starting to feel what Brian and Jason are saying. Keep it up boys.
  19. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ May 27, 2010 -> 09:22 PM) Steve, Show me one shred of evidence to support your position. Its a sign of weakness to attack the poster and not the post. I dont believe that I have ever belittled you in any post, in any forum. But if you seriously cant hang with me, I understand. I just expected a lot more from you. Brian Bears. Ditka. Sausage. You know I was just messing. I think anyone can see that slippery field conditions, frozen hands, wet balls (ew), etc just lead to sloppy play and lend themselves toward equalizing talent between f***ing amazing players and regular old NFL quality players. My apologies, I thought we were Internet homies and you would know I was messing.
  20. Caller Meathead you're on the Score. UMMM HI MAI NAME IS BADGER? UM. BEARS. I think the Bears should run the ball more. They get off the bus running. Also, why does Jay Cutler wear a turtleneck when it's -27? Dan Hampton never wore a turtleneck when it was -27. Bears. Ditka. -badger
  21. Oh, Badger. Did you seriously just bring up "Bear Weather"?
  22. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ May 27, 2010 -> 08:04 PM) If youre the best team, youre the best in all field conditions. Furthermore, all the Super Bowl ever proves is who was the "best team" that day, with those conditions. Until Peyton Manning tears his ACL on the first play from scrimmage due to slipping in the snow. All you are doing is increasing the chances of random luck effecting the Super Bowl vs superior players.
  23. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ May 27, 2010 -> 06:38 PM) Why shouldn't the super bowl be played in all kinds of weather? Because it takes away from the performance of the game. It's not optimal conditions. If you play the game on a sheet of ice or 4 inches of snow, it decreases the chance that the better team wins. It becomes a crapshoot. It is a great neutralizer, which is not what I'm looking for in the most important game of the year. I could not agree with you more.
  24. QUOTE (Jenks Heat @ May 27, 2010 -> 02:29 PM) If the Hawks did not choke the game away in Philly, the Flyers may not have even made the playoffs. I found that point interesting. ...and we would have (if everything stays the same) been the 1 seed.
