  1. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jun 10, 2010 -> 02:31 PM) Anyone have a picture with the route? It's amazing what this Google Website can do. You should try it!
  2. I'd have to say, substitution words in place of the *** is worse. We have that at TalkBulls and it drives me nuts.
  3. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Jun 10, 2010 -> 02:08 PM) Did you go to the Sox one? I did not as I was down at school, but I'm going tomorrow. What time do you need to be somewhere to be able to see anything? Any tips from any of you veteran parade goers? Looking forward to watching Kane rap, swear like a sailor, or something equally as ridiculous. I did not. I actually had to work at Blockbuster and then the UC for the Hawks that day. I'm planning on getting down there around 10am if not a bit earlier, but I'm going directly to the rally site which doesn't start til 11:30, which you know will be delayed.
  4. I don't really care too much about the topic at hand, I just thought it would make for a good poll. I voted yes.
  5. ARGUMENT A: QUOTE (qwerty @ Jun 10, 2010 -> 12:42 PM) I know the swear filter was instilled to try and help make the site a more professional place for when sox org looks around. First off, i'm willing to bet that a couple of them swear also, and some potentially even on a pretty consistent basis. Much bigger sites than this one here, in every way imaginable, regarding pretty much any topic you could think of, allow swearing. Why? Because swearing is apart of everyday life, and there is no way getting around that fact. Unless you have an I.Q. of 47 you can probably put two and two together that s*** = feces, etc, etc. Why try and hide it? No one is fooled... well except those of course in the I.Q. range i mentioned... and they have no good reason of being around electronics out of the fear of hurting themselves. It's just illogical and naive to myself. If people can handle the news, they can more than handle a bit of vulgarity. You guys should be receiving this in the mail any day now. ARGUMENT B People get carried away.
  6. There's a poll to be started here...
  7. I'll clearly be at the rally tomorrow. It should be a great time.
  8. QUOTE (The Critic @ Jun 10, 2010 -> 05:11 AM) A nice side-effect is the fact that now my two favorite teams are the MOST RECENT champions! The Redwings?
  9. I remember the days as a teen after a hockey game myself and some of my best friends would hang out at one of our parents house, and being huddled around the AM radio listening to the Hawks when they had home games because they were blacked out. We endured trading Jeremy Roenick for Zhamnov, trading Belfour for nothing, giving Chelios away to our arch rivals... not to mention the awful Mike Smith euro era (Mironov, Karpotsev), gifting JP Dumont away just to get rid of the awful Doug Gilmour contract, the Theo Fleury debacle, Brian Sutter choking our drunken player Tyler Arnason... it's endless, the last ten years of Bill Wirtz' life were the worst. As an intern working for the Hawks in 2005, I saw how pathetic the front office was and knew they stood no chance of ever mattering again as long as the old man was alive. I remember CHEERING in my car on the way to work, but fearing that Peter Wirtz would be the successor to the throne. Rocky grabbed this team by the balls, shelled out the cash for McDonough (who turned this city on its hockey head), took the front office from something like 12 employees and gutted the trash, kept the good (Pete Hassen baby!) and now we see a thriving front office of over 30 employees... and that combined with the perfect wave of young talent in Keith, Seabrook, Kane, and Toews has turned into a juggernaut that has no business not being a long successful run. This is a great day my friends.
  10. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Jun 10, 2010 -> 08:28 AM) I thought it had been a save, so I looked down to quick read something. I looked up, my dad was running around the room yelling "did they score?", I saw the bench clear. I assumed it was some sort of a brawl or something because why would they storm the ice after a save? Then it all made sense. To me, Kane was the dead giveaway. He was so certain immediately that I knew it had to be a goal. That was the s***.
  11. Today is going to be painful at work, but it was very much worth it.

QUOTE (iamshack @ Jun 9, 2010 -> 04:37 PM) Ahh, you talked about your wife's vajay-jay to thousands of strange men. Yes, you win alright. I didn't talk about it. I didn't describe it. I stated my love of it.

QUOTE (T R U @ Jun 9, 2010 -> 03:40 PM) Its one thing to jokingly comment and then seriously be creepy.. I have seen more posts on the seriously creepy side than the joking side.. Exactly.
  18. This is a tricky one... I went back and forth on it. I'd assume riot gear would have sufficed, so I went with "no".
  19. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jun 9, 2010 -> 03:02 AM) Let me just say that I am ecstatic with the amount of great young talent in the bigs right now. We have so many thing to look forward too: Stephen Strasburg Mike Stanton Jason Heyward Wade Davis Brian Matusz Neftali Feliz Bryce Harper This on top of guys like Lincecum, Ubaldo, Longoria. Oh, and hopefully Gordon Beckham. This is the influx of talent we've been waiting for. I could not agree more, Slav. The next wave has arrived.

QUOTE (JPN366 @ Jun 9, 2010 -> 01:34 PM) Mark, it brings out the primal nature in men. Not defending it, just saying... He knows. It was his primal nature that was accurately called creepy.
