QUOTE (CanOfCorn @ Jun 24, 2010 -> 12:03 PM) Quickly going back to the trade with the Thrashers. This is a classic case of selling high. There is absolutely no way I would have thought the 'hawks could've gotten a 1st round pick for Big Buff. But with his big-timing the playoffs...that's just what Stan Bowman did. Great job...Buff is the hardest to replace, but they are all replaceable. Versteeg should be next to go...he is Kane-light. I love him to death, but Ladd has a better all-around game than Steeger. Kyle Beach will be more than happy to step in and take over the exact physical, pain in the ass role that Buff played so well. You're all going to love this kid very, very soon. With the Spokane Chiefs, of the WHL, Beach had 52 goals and 34 assists (86 points) in 68 games played. He also mucked it up with 186 fight and raucous-causing penalty minutes. Hawks stuck his ass on the Ice Hogs for the playoffs where he tallied 3 goals in 4 games. He's going to be fun.

I love the Hawks, and Kaner, but that's just dumb. 109 points vs 88, and Kane isn't even a centerman.
-
I doubt they find a taker.

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jun 23, 2010 -> 08:39 PM) Tell me about it. The Bulls could ink Joe Johnson right away if they wanted to and than still wait for LBJ/Bosh. As I've been saying for over a month, the Bulls have zero interest in Joe Johnson.

F*CK YES DUNCAN!

QUOTE (EvilJester99 @ Jun 23, 2010 -> 05:47 PM) SunGarrioch The belief is the Hawks are considering an offer a late first rounder and a prospect for Kris Versteeg. To dump Versteeg would be jizz-worthy.
-
This is really a best-case scenario. All three players contributed in the playoffs/Finals though.

QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Jun 23, 2010 -> 03:55 PM) Rumor of a possible Deng to Orlando trade. Bulls would get Mickael Pietrus and Marcin Gortat. source?

QUOTE (Brian @ Jun 23, 2010 -> 04:04 PM) Wow. Miami worries me. They don't really worry me. I see no reason why LBJ and D-Wade would want to lessen their star power. Everything I hear says that Amare is all but a lock for Miami, meaning that according to the great Jalen Rose (who is tight with Wes) its down to the Bulls and sharing a city with the Champs.

QUOTE (T R U @ Jun 23, 2010 -> 12:48 PM) Its not about them being THAT bad, its that people thing we have all of the sudden become a playoff team because we have creamed the Cubs, Pirates, and Nationals.. HEY WE BEAT THE BRAVES!

QUOTE (SoxAce @ Jun 22, 2010 -> 11:51 PM) I would gladly take a big like Foster back, but I don't think saving only 3 mil would be THAT significant of a price so perhaps your right. I still think they'll trade Ford or Tinsley + Watson. Troy Murphy has also been thrown around a ton in trade talks as a stretch the floor 4 guy. I doubt anyone takes Dunleavy Jr. i heart troy murphy whats his contract status like

QUOTE (Tex @ Jun 22, 2010 -> 07:24 PM) Never grow up dude Keep the PAAARRRRRTY going That's one of the few things you've posted that is actually cool. It's too bad you were being sarcastic, gramps! -

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 22, 2010 -> 04:37 PM) I'd consider him at the MLE level if the Bulls came up with Bosh or James. I'd prefer to not go down that road again.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 22, 2010 -> 04:44 PM) I'm not overrating anybody. I said Rodman-like. As he brings a similar skill-set and intangibles that Rodman brought. Of course I'm not saying he's Rodman overall. That's a copout. I assume that this means that you rate Luol Deng as Pippen-like?

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 22, 2010 -> 04:23 PM) Name the contracts you want to take back. therein lies the problem
-
QUOTE (SoxAce @ Jun 22, 2010 -> 03:44 PM) Hmmm.... seems the Pacers would trade their #10 pick for a PG (want defense, high I.Q.) and also would like to move down in the draft as the guy they are targeting is projected to be much lower. If I'm the Bulls, that might be the perfect match to trade Hinrich to (+ the 17th pick if need be), and I believe Bird likes Hinrich alot. This would allow the Bulls to draft Henry/George. (Anderson I'm falling out of favor of) Rose needs a tall SG to play off of, not to mention gives him more touches with the basketball without another short PG playing SG. the 10 for the 17 and kirk would be a dream come true

This is the best news I've heard in awhile.

QUOTE (Tex @ Jun 22, 2010 -> 08:48 AM) Getting drunk at innapropriate times is one common factor. You mean at a rally where people are tossing him beers and the team is forking over the cash for bottles of champagne? I've done a complete 180 on this topic... Kaner got drunk at a booze-filled celebration. Big deal. It's not like he pulled his pants down during his speech. -
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 22, 2010 -> 08:34 AM) Noah has a height advantage over him and probably an overall athleticism advantage over him, but yeah, Rodman...yeah. 18.7 and 18.3 rebounds/game in his 2 best seasons. Man that team was ridiculous. Rodman definitely had an athleticism edge on Noah.... a big one. He was a beast.
-
QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 20, 2010 -> 05:03 PM) Kobe 5 rings. Lebron 0. This is our only hope. That he's insanely jealous of Kobe's success and realizes that a #2 man the caliber of Rose and a Rodman-like rebounder/defender/enforcer like Noah immediately puts him in the best position to win a title in 2011. Oh boy are we greatly overrating Noah. I like the kid, but Rodman was on his own planet.
