I really can't believe we're 1.5 out. This is awesome.

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jun 25, 2010 -> 06:18 PM) I really wonder if the Bulls can give Deng away. If they could, they already would have.

NICE START! -
Deng is a bum. No amount of PER will convince me otherwise. My EYES tell me what's up.

QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Jun 25, 2010 -> 02:07 PM) Luol Deng is better than Hinrich and it isn't particularly close. If you are going to keep one of those two and still be able to sign guys like James and Bosh you get rid of Hinrich every time. You are so clueless. Deng might be more talented, but Kirk brings more depth to the team and more value in terms of production on the court, reliability, and overall game. Their value is close, but Kirk has more value, and that's why the Bulls were able to find a taker for him and not for Deng.

This team wins 65+ games next year if everyone stays healthy.

It's done. World Wide Wes isn't going to stake his reputation on nothing. The Bulls had LeBron in the bag the day they signed up Thibodeau. Now all that's left is the formality of signing the two of them come July 8th and laughing during the July 9 presser. Holy f***. It's happening.

So yeah, via the article I posted above, it's basically decided that LeBron and Bosh are coming to Chicago.

QUOTE (JPN366 @ Jun 25, 2010 -> 08:34 AM) He'd have to throw in Viciedo to make that happen. It'd still be a no-brainer.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 24, 2010 -> 10:53 PM) Oh come on. I'll concede that I certainly don't know anything about the Hornets' financial situation. But it certainly can't be THAT bad that they're trying to trade the face of the franchise and top 5 (at worst top 10) player in the game who happens to be a whopping 25-years old to save a few dollars. But like I said earlier, I've heard or seen nothing outside of that article that suggests this is even a remotely accurate rumor. It's just an Orlando website trying to get hits.

I’m 95% sure we’re signing LeBron for many reasons. Thibodeau – The Bulls had zero interest until he signed with World Wide Wes. The next day they got on a plane and went to LA to sign him. WWW is LeBron’s agent, and rumor has it this was a down payment to take the lead in the LeBron sweepstakes. Jalen Rose – He’s one of World Wide Wes’s oldest friends, and two days ago said that the Cavaliers have no chance of retaining LeBron, and that it’s down to Chicago and LAC. Come on, we all know LeBron’s not going to play in the same city as Kobe on a bad Clippers team. Bosh – I don’t know if he knew of the Bulls being able to pull off another cap move like the Hinrich one that happened today, but this morning on Mike & Mike he said that it would be very interesting to play with LeBron in Chicago. Bosh later joined Waddle & Silvy on ESPN 1000 and was already alluding to a weekly radio spot with them. Two max + Rose + Noah – The Bulls can win the next 5 championships if those two wanted to play here. Miami seems resigned to Amare and we know that Wade + LeBron will not work out well, there’s too much ego there regardless of what either says. The Knicks suck – The Knicks suck, there is no reason for LeBron to go there and try to win with absolutely nothing on the roster, and even if he brought another player along for the ride, they still wouldn’t stand a chance. World Wide Wes – He himself said he felt strongly that the Bulls were on the top of LeBron’s list. It’s all about Wes. SendLeBronToChicago.com – We’ve been at this for months, and a fat billboard at Grand and LaSalle designed by me clearly has already had an effect on the free agent class and will continue to sway LeBron!

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Jun 24, 2010 -> 03:56 PM) anyone else worried that after all this the bulls come out with nothing or overpaying for 2nd tier players? The scenario: Two easy ones: lebron stays, brings in bosh I believe if the Cavs could afford to bring in Bosh, this would be a good option. They can't though.

This is un-f***ing-believable.

QUOTE (MHizzle85 @ Jun 24, 2010 -> 03:12 PM) I know they both stated all that BS about wanting to win a championship earlier in the year, but I truly believe Lebron doesn't want to go anywhere where he's gotta share a spotlight. Someone will go down to Miami, it's just who is the question. Amare's been a lock for Miami for a few weeks now from what I've heard. I don't think LeBron has any problem sharing the spotlight, I just don't see him ever supplanting Wade. Rose is young enough that he can come here and be the man... everyone will know that LBJ is #1 on that team. With Wade, that just won't be the case. I'll just keep hoping that we sign LBJ and Bosh. A question for you salary cap wizards. If we signed LBJ and Bosh, can we just keep signing guys and go over the cap (as Reinsdorf has stated he's ready to pay the luxury tax) or does additional salary need to be acquired via trade and/or extensions? I'd assume the latter given everyone is trying to clear space BEFORE free agency opens, so I guess I've answered my own question.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 24, 2010 -> 03:10 PM) If Lebron is the first signing, suddenly I care a lot less about overpaying for Joe Johnson. Yeah, I'd completely agree with this statement. I was terrified we'd end up with Boozer + Johnson. You send me LeBron, then I'll take Joe. The New York Knicks just started crying. We can offer two max to come play with Noah, Taj, Rose.
